CLIP DESCRIPTION:
As Sidney (James Coburn) and a new friend get to know each other, assassins pile up around them.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
The President's Analyst is James Coburn, whose position makes him privy to any number of delicate government secrets. Thus Coburn becomes a most desirable prize for several secret-agent organizations, including the CEA and the FBR (we know who these folks are really supposed to be, even though the phony names were crudely dubbed onto the soundtrack after the film was completed). When Coburn becomes expendable, he finds a pair of strong allies in the form of likeable political assassin Godfrey Cambridge and gay Soviet spy Severn Darden. The main plot involves an insidious, unnamed concern that wishes to harness Coburn's talents in order to brainwash the president -- and everyone else in America -- into submission. The President's Analyst is a terrific, on-target satire of virtually every sacred cow of the late 1960s; the satire was so potent, in fact, that when the NBC network broadcast the film in the early 1970s, it was compelled to remove the picture's punchline.

This movie is one of the better American comedies that turns on absurdity as the driver for its humour.
LOVE this movie. When I first learned of this movie, I came in on this very scene, so the first few seconds, I thought it was a serious, spy thriller.........a few seconds later, I'm saying....WTF??? lol. Loved it ever since.

Does ANY have the missing scene where Dr. Shafer meets "Nan" at the "Hostile Horror Happening"? It's cut from nost versions but aired when NBC broadcast it in the early 1970s...

For the home video version they substituted this song with another studio piece "In Our Own Little World " for copyright reasons. The DVD has this original version. I have watched both for years and really cannot say which I like better. They both hit the mark in thier own way.
wish they had made this into a series. but the establishment tried to kill this movie. just think what they would have done to the studio that made it into one.

We miss the start of the
song, don`t see Barry
McGuire, the sound is
muddy and buried. This
clip totally stinks! I
wouldn't deal with this
company if this is
representative of their
product. We totally miss
the irony of the song!
The soundtrack was ruined in a later version, Barry's music is gone and some schlocky mush replaces it, ditto for the later "club" scene. Look for the ORIGINAL if you want the best.
Jim Strict-9 Movie Clips is the stingiest of anyone with the length of the clips...they stop the clip when there is still a good 40 seconds left on the vid. I would not deal with these butchers either.
Still remember the line “Let’s go smell the flowers” just before this. Haven’t seen the film since 1990. Wished NetFlix or Amazon Prime would put these old films on
