The President's Analyst has been my all time favorite movie since its release...I never heard why it disappeared. I thought killing the Kennedy's was bad, but for Hoover to do THIS...I am truly appalled!

I first saw "The President's Analyst" as a child when my parents took me with them to a repertory theater in Philadelphia. At the time, I had no idea who Theodore J. Flicker was, but the picture totally knocked me out with its imaginative and hilarious sequences and its fabulous cast of characters. I can recall the howls of laughter from the audience, and everyone I knew at the time who saw it felt as positively about it as I did. A couple of years ago, I took out a DVD version of the movie from the library, curious to see if the movie still held up to my childhood memory. It did! Far from dated, the movie is just as relevant today. As for the 1960s gear, milieu, and ubiquitous telephone booths, they only add to the enjoyment of the authenticity of the period. Although I had heard rumors about efforts to take this great movie out of circulation, I didn't get the details about this until much later when I read former Paramount producer Robert Evans' book "The Kid Stays in the Picture."
