"What fresh new bullshit is this?" Well done new guy, in just 30 seconds you made me a fan, even though you're undoubtedly reading someone else's writing...
Westworld is just Jurassic Park with animatronics. Actually, technically, Jurassic Park is Westworld with dinosaurs (they're written by the same guy so I doubt it really matters) but still not really that much "subject potential". Man plays God then immediately regrets his decision.
The Rickest Rick Yes... A story about an old British guy running an amusement park full of creatures that eventually reject his control and begin killing everything has nothing to do with Jurassic Park at all.
Proof that he isn't from Virginia or West Virginia. Because if he was from Virginia, he would have said "Western Virginia" and if he was from West Virginia, he would have said "I'm not from Virginia, I'm from West Virginia."
1:19 "Gun control, the scariest form of safety" 3:44 "A popular fad... like Kambucha, Snapchat or Facism" Only in Cracked video's are these points subtly garnished into movie discussions.
What would we do if we ran out of electricity and laws ? Didn't the dude just say he's from West Virginia? I've been there, you can just ask him what they do.
DGAF what color he is, but he was definitely my favorite part of this video. "Let's just say I'm willing to know..." funniest line. I'm from West Virginia too. and Blazing Saddles is the raddest movie. Black guy stays.
Over the course of finals week a friend and I watched Blazing Saddles, Robin Hood: Men in Tights, Spaceballs, History of the World: Part I, and Young Frankenstein. Mel Brooks was awesome.
Counter arguments: - distilling whisky had the added benefit of helping to purify the water the whisky was made from. - 1993's _Posse_ was all about black cowboys.
I would like to congratulate the people saying Mad Max is actually a Western. You found a way to have the video go over your head and make an accurate statement at the same time.
Akira Kurosawa was a huge fan of John Ford, and you can see the influence dripping from movies like Seven Samurai, but especially Yojimbo. John Ford essentially created the modern western with "Stagecoach!" and Kurosawa essentially created the spaghetti western with "Yojimbo". The spaghetti western seems to be the particular sub-genre that post-apolyptic movies take the most inspiration from.
"I showed my newborn child Mad Max Fury Road." The earliest memory i have as a child was watching the first Mad Max on VHS with my dad. p.s. We're an Australian family.
That's maybe the best skit-ender you guys have ever come up with. Seriously, do the Monty Python \ Muppets thing more often. When the skit has been rammed into the ground, get totally surreal. Or just make something explode.
I often hear the opposite - "Mad Max is a Western, because there's more to these than being set in the US Old West" - but never thought about it as presented on the video. Also, please give us more of the-guy-who-isn't-Alex. He's pretty awesome.
I, I, I didn't love spaceball, but I voted for it in the poll, because it was the option with a line with a dot under it, and they excite me. Mea culpa mea culpa mea maxima culpa
Mr. The Clam you're defo the best guy on cracked keep up the funny stuff....and who's the other bro in the video you guys should start a show just the 2 of you guys and some crazy topics hes hilarious
2:05 - Yay, someone remembers Snowpiercer! That movie is sooo underrated! (And has half-naked baby Luke Pasqualino murdering people. That was the main attraction for me.)
This conversation reminds me of the time I was talking to my friend in Scotland and he was buying a duster coat and I was like "A what?" and he sent me a picture and said oh so factually "They are very populary in America" and I told him "No.... no they aren't." Him: Well they were in westerns. Me: I wouldn't use those as an example since they are set in the 1800s
I just found our Soren and O’Brien have a podcast?! I can’t believe how far behind I am....blew my mind swaim has smallbeans channel. So stoked I can still watch them after cracked fired them all
TWO today's topics IN THE SAME YEAR?!??! You're spoiling us
Look Behind You: I was just thinking that, we're so lucky, today's topics are one of my favourite cracked videos
"What fresh new bullshit is this?" Well done new guy, in just 30 seconds you made me a fan, even though you're undoubtedly reading someone else's writing...
holy shit. a today's topic... miss these
Yes!
Hellion 101 we all do
when did you become cancer?
Subtle west world joke, nice.
Cracked needs to talk about West World, so much subject potential.
Westworld is just Jurassic Park with animatronics. Actually, technically, Jurassic Park is Westworld with dinosaurs (they're written by the same guy so I doubt it really matters) but still not really that much "subject potential". Man plays God then immediately regrets his decision.
No, it's disney land with sex and murder but way more fun and complex.
Where? Doesn't look like anything to me.
The Rickest Rick
Yes... A story about an old British guy running an amusement park full of creatures that eventually reject his control and begin killing everything has nothing to do with Jurassic Park at all.
So in Back to the Future part 3 Marthy McFly actually went forward in time?
Woah...
Cillian Brouder great Scott...
Cillian Brouder why are the comments on cracked better than the actual videos?
noobmaster117 well to be fair it's easier to type a comment then to make a whole video
Cillian Brouder man, if only Cracked had some kind of published periodical people could read... Nah, would probably just be seen as a Mad Mag ripoff.
I suspect that the question "what fresh bull shit is this?" is asked a lot at cracked. Y'all should make a shirt of that!
"Kinda makes me proud to be from the West"
"I thought you were from Virginia?"
"West Virginia"
lost it!!! XD
Proof that he isn't from Virginia or West Virginia. Because if he was from Virginia, he would have said "Western Virginia" and if he was from West Virginia, he would have said "I'm not from Virginia, I'm from West Virginia."
"Alex, what fresh bullshit is this" -the most cracked, cracked question ever?
... so... so Fallout new vegas would definitely probably happen in the apocalypse.
"what fresh bullshit is this?"
Ahahahaha!! I mean the line is good. Not great. Good. But the delivery? The timing? Perfect.
I don't recognize the non-Alex guy in the video, but he's good. Let's get more of him in future Cracked vids!
The real question is weather he's been programming Alex the whole time? If so, wow he's good.
How do you not recognize Coolio
Can't you just say you don't recognize the black guy?
Would that be so terrible?
It would not, but I thought it would be funnier to call him the "non-Alex guy".
Gillian Orley get wrecked
1:19 "Gun control, the scariest form of safety"
3:44 "A popular fad... like Kambucha, Snapchat or Facism"
Only in Cracked video's are these points subtly garnished into movie discussions.
"Trust me, you can dance" - vodka
Love that
What would we do if we ran out of electricity and laws ? Didn't the dude just say he's from West Virginia? I've been there, you can just ask him what they do.
By this logic, Firefly was the most accurate western. I can get behind that.
yay todays topic ^w^
A black guy finally
i was planning on it
we trolls don't really care
Seriously. I was wondering how long they were gonna act as though this was normal.😏
DGAF what color he is, but he was definitely my favorite part of this video.
"Let's just say I'm willing to know..." funniest line.
I'm from West Virginia too.
and Blazing Saddles is the raddest movie.
Black guy stays.
They had a black woman on one of their web shows.
Does this mean John Wayne is yet to be born?
I like this new guy
Woah, Cracked hired a black guy. Someone mark the calendar.
Who saw the Adam Ruins Everything about the West?
2:43 His "not gonna touch that one" face is on point.
Because Mad Max Is Fucking awesome.
last time i was this early i was born in the car
Cracked's new crew is kicking so much ass. Alex, you're carrying the channel lately - New Guy, you got the best jokes in this episode! Way to go!
I was waiting the whole time for something about Westworld, that bit at the end was so satisfying
Cracked has been making some fine quality content lately. Keep it up guys 👍🏼
Space balls was my 12 year old daughters favorite movie when she was 5. She still loves it.
Over the course of finals week a friend and I watched Blazing Saddles, Robin Hood: Men in Tights, Spaceballs, History of the World: Part I, and Young Frankenstein.
Mel Brooks was awesome.
lmao the West Virginia part killed me
Counter arguments:
- distilling whisky had the added benefit of helping to purify the water the whisky was made from.
- 1993's _Posse_ was all about black cowboys.
I like this new guy's hair and his personality. More of him pls
I showed my nonexistent newborn child Spacemax: Fury Druidia
Interesting, I'm never going to watch a western in the same way. XD
You mean why mad max is like every old western
nice Westword References. So glad Today's Topic is back
I would like to congratulate the people saying Mad Max is actually a Western. You found a way to have the video go over your head and make an accurate statement at the same time.
This video didn’t show up on RUclips when searching mad max and westerns.... only google... this needs more
"It doesn't look like anything to me." - Ha! I'm dyin'! :D
I am a comic book writer and try to making crazy new mix of different but familiar genres. Thank you guys for these videos, always gives me new ideas!
"This is my dream."
So like is Azathoth just working at Cracked now?
Dammit.. now I gotta go find Spaceballs again.
"Right now, with kombucha or snapchat, or faschism." God I love this series. Is that the tablet from Porter Robinson's Shelter vid...?
Nice theory. I'll keep that in mind when watching westerns.
"Let's say I'm willing to know..." XD
/stealing that line
Akira Kurosawa was a huge fan of John Ford, and you can see the influence dripping from movies like Seven Samurai, but especially Yojimbo. I was waiting the whole video for a West World reference, glad you delivered
Idk who the new guy is but I love his delivery
"It doesn't look like anything to me." WESTWORLD
I was waiting for a Westworld reference. You did not disappoint.
awesome episode guys ❤
*shakes his head* "what fresh bullshit is this?" lmfao
I honestly don't know why you don't do more Today's Topic videos Cracked, they've always been some of your best content.
"Their diet is whiskey." lmao
Who's the new guy talking to The New Guy? I like him.
Lmao. I died when he said doesn't look like anything to me
First vote on the "Is Alex right?" survey. Waaay better than first comment. Suck it, firsters!
shadowgloria for a second there I thought you said "Suck it, fisters!"
Great video, great debut! I've seen a buncha westerns and I love when people are playing poker; 99% of the time some shit is about to go down. Hard.
"what fresh bullshit is this?"
I bout died
"I showed my newborn child Mad Max Fury Road."
The earliest memory i have as a child was watching the first Mad Max on VHS with my dad.
p.s. We're an Australian family.
Mad Max is a western set in the future. Westerns came first therefore, Mad Max is a Western type movie not the other way around.
Love the Westworld reference 😅💓
I love this new guy I want more
That's maybe the best skit-ender you guys have ever come up with. Seriously, do the Monty Python \ Muppets thing more often. When the skit has been rammed into the ground, get totally surreal. Or just make something explode.
'Post-apocalypse' is after the apocalypse, implying a time when the apocalypse has finished and things aren't so bad.
3:47 Oh lord, that hits hard.
"Alex, what fresh bullshit is this?"
😂😂😂
That ending. So goooooooood!
I often hear the opposite - "Mad Max is a Western, because there's more to these than being set in the US Old West" - but never thought about it as presented on the video. Also, please give us more of the-guy-who-isn't-Alex. He's pretty awesome.
Loved the Westworld reference at the end.
"TRUST ME YOU CAN DANCE" -VODKA
"kinda makes me proud to be from the west"
"I thought you were from virginia"
"west virginia"
P E R F E C T
new guy is great, more of him pls
I've never known why I always loved westerns, I think I know now.
also Id like to point out.
The
gangster
Noir
Post Apocalypse
and westerns are almost all interchangeable.
I like how they slipped that West World ref in at the end
This is the first black person I've seen in ANYTHING for cracked. If y'all are trying to diversify I can talk about nerdy stuff for 5 minutes.
"Kinda makes me proud to be from the west"
"I thought you were from Virginia"
"West Virginia"
*COUNTRY ROADS, TAKE ME HOME*
I, I, I didn't love spaceball, but I voted for it in the poll, because it was the option with a line with a dot under it, and they excite me.
Mea culpa mea culpa mea maxima culpa
The make up they used on Alex Schmidt in Stranger Things is pretty good.
Spaceballs! It's so good!
I like both these guys a lot.
Westworld reference at the end! Nice!

Him: Well they were in westerns. Me: I wouldn't use those as an example since they are set in the 1800s
It makes sense especially if you compare the old mad max movies to westerns
Wouldn't that make Mad Max an Aussie futuristic answer to westerns?
Wait, I wanna know about the hats now
THANK YOU Love the Westworld reference
Never thought id hear anyone say they are proud to be from west virginia i lived there for almost 10 years and everyone wanted out
"or fascism"
I don't know if the not Alex guy is totally new or not. But I love him.
I just found our Soren and O’Brien have a podcast?! I can’t believe how far behind I am....blew my mind swaim has smallbeans channel. So stoked I can still watch them after cracked fired them all
my favourite part is the twist ending
I like this new new-guy. Keep up the good work! Stuff like this is why i stay subbed even when I disagree with you politically.
Oh Todays topic is back nice
Nice low key Westworld reference at the end
"Gun control scariest form of safety" I fucking lost it
This is a huge stretch to mention, but the John Wayne move The Conqueror was filmed downwind from a nuclear testing site
