  • These are six Vanguard ETFs I wouldn't mind buying and holding forever. I include three broad market ETFs in this video as well as 3 more focused ETFs. The first three include the VOO, VTI, and VXUS ETFs and could be great for passive investors to dollar cost average forever. I also include more factor based ETFs including Growth via the VUG ETF, and Value via the VTV ETF, and Dividends via the VYM ETF.

    Used to be a fan of Vanguard, but as I get deeper into my retirement, needed good income along with the growth. Chose on SCHD / JEPI / DGRO. Decent growth and great annual income stream. Not a lot of overlap among the 3 positions.

    Interesting video. Anything similar but with iShares ETF's?

      Thanks Yo Mismo! Ya I’d like to do this for the other fund companies this year. iShares, Schwab, Etc.

    I looked at the total international index fund the investor shares which started in 1996 I do agree in a long term they do have good returns. 😁

    I own VTV. Great value fund. I like that it tracks the CRSP large value index. Top notch ETF. Value has crushed blend & growth this year & I belive we're in a long term cycle of value outperforming. So I'm long on large value.
    VTV I use for capital appreciation & not for dividend income. Better options for income. I pair it with $O Realty Income, DIVO & JEPI. Thoughts/comments?

      @RobbieMoney  2 года назад

      Nice Steve! Ya Value is probably going to finally return to outperformance for some time. Personally I’m not big into the covered call ETFs for myself but I get that they can have their place for some people.

      I just looked into it. VTV has been great! 2022 it barely dipped(-2%) when the S&P dropped 19%.

    Great video! I'm currently working to have approximate 50/50 mix of a growth and value etf portfolio. Fidelity FXAIX and SCHD.
    You aged really well by the way 😄.

      Hahaha. Thanks The Journey. Now i know what I’ll look like when I’m
      In my late 70s. And good to hear you’re building that mix.

    Hey Robbie long time viewer and sub. I wanted to ask if you’d buy these in a Schwab or fidelity account too? Or you’d buy something else at Schwab or fidelity?
    Edit: what would you do? Would you do the combo of growth and value for a younger person?

    • @RobbieMoney
      @RobbieMoney  2 года назад

      Hey DS! Thanks SO MUCH for being a longtime viewer 😁 In terms of whether I’d buy these with Schwab, Fidelity etc, I would if I just wanted to keep it simple with one fund company (but personally would just go with my favorites regardless of fund company). In terms of growth vs value if I was a passive investor I’d probably go with both and not pick one or the other to hedge my bets. 👍

    One of my favorite models that you've shared Robbie. I think the ending says it all.
    I hold a satellite portfolio with a core in the SP500, and I always have this debate with myself on how to balance things going forward because I love diversifying with sector ETFs, dividend and value (from small to large cap). But I always round back to this simple idea: the SP500. Could it be the best choice?
    Great model as we move through 2023. Thanks for sharing

    ALTHOUGH COMMODITIES IS NECESSARY BUT HAVING STEADY INCOME IS MORE CRUCIAL FOR YOUR RETIREMENT PLANNING. Big ups to everyone working effortlessly trying to earn a living while building wealth. I'm 40 and my wife 34. We are both retired with over $3 million in net worth and no debts. Currently living smart and frugal with our money. Saving and investing lifestyle made it possible for us this early even till now we earn monthly through passive income.

    'Long-term' iis relative. If you are seventy years of age, 8-10 years is long-term. Six to twelve months is short term, 3-5 years is medium term. Or maybe this is just me?
    So, if you expected to die in 15 years which would you own for yourself and your particular investment goals? You, just fast forward fifty years.
    I appreciate your insights. But what I find a bit odd about everybody's videos is they talk as if we viewers have hundreds of thusands of dollars lying around, instead of 1-5K. And maybe not even that.

      Schd did most of its growth in one year the other years were pretty flat. March or 20 to March of 21 are the only big growth trends. It’s too late for that boat but good on you if you’ve been riding it since 2018 or so
