I am a big SCHD & VGT guy. It has worked well for me. I just hit ~$800k from an initial 210k deposit eleven months ago. I still have about 10 years or so until retirement and I sleep well at night.
Congratulations! I have had my fingers burnt in the last 10 years & have learnt the hard way that stock picking is for the pros, last few year stuck to etf's & it was the best decision I made, every time S&P & World etf's drop I BUY. Planning for next 10 yrs do should work in my favour, fingers crossed..
Fair enough! It’s hard to go wrong with some decent ETFs in my opinion! I do have another major leg of my portfolio in growth and value stocks, and use a CFA. On average, she takes 10% off earnings, but using *Lina Dineikiene's* system makes it much more hands-off. I conservatively follow her recommendations and market entry and exit points, and tbh this make it possible for me.
Thanks for this. My company switched to Vanguard and I had to re-enroll in my 401k and Roth 401k plans. This video helped me in choosing my contributions.
Tae, thank you so much, this information is golden!! I love your videos. I understand that VTSAX and VFIAX are awesome funds and have shown a great performance in the last 10-12 years, but why are you recommending VBTLX and VTIAX as long term buy and hold? They have been only going up and down with not much net gain? Am I missing something?

Thank you, Tae! I watched one of your videos a few weeks ago for the first time and have been watching them regularly; I'm now a fan. You provide excellent content with an easy-to-understand delivery. If my mortgage is at a 3.75% interest rate, would you recommend sending extra money towards my principal or investing the extra money in the stock market?
Thank you Tae ! I've been evaluating the idea of managing our own retirement funds, to save on fees. These are some interesting ideas, worth considering! I'm wondering what you think about real estate exposure through VHQ or O ?
Vanguard Mega Cap Growth Index Fund Institutional Shares (VMGAX) requires *_$5,000,000_* minimum initial investment so not available for Roth IRA but some 401(k) plans. Vanguard Mega Cap Growth ETF (MGK) @ around $200 share available for Roth IRA.
Let’s talk about performance : that bond fund is down 10 percent over 5 years, and with inflation that’s more life 25 percent loss! It’s down 7 percent since inception. I don’t think I’ll ever own bonds! I like VOO which average 15 percent per year and VGT for tech growth up 45 percent in a year, 164 percent in 5 years and almost 1000 percent in 10 years!

Keep it simple, buy things you understand, take calculated risk risk but don't try to shoot the lights out.
@larrydimon7811 I'm with you, lost 27k and walked away, still afraid to even invest again...

Lucky you. My former employer used American Funds with 4.75% expense ratio.
Funny how financial advisors love to tout American Funds with their exorbitant fees
You forgot VGT. If you invested $10,000 in 2014, it now be worth $60,000 and at .10% expense fee, this is a keeper.
100% Agreed, yes VGT!
And that's with Vanguard?
@@DanielSuarez-zn8iw Yes it is.
You might also look at VUG, and VIGAX and VONE. Some are Vanguard mutual funds and so me are ETFs

Tip:
If you're on Fidelity, there's similar funds to these where you'll save a few percentage points in exp ratio.
Fact: Fidelity is operated for the shareholders , Vanguard puts the fund holders as part owners.

Hello, I’m 37 and I am not worth much yet , please help me out. Bought my first house last month and I can't seem to make any other smart investment.
wanted to trade, but I got discouraged with the market price fluctuations
Can you recommend a guide for me?
You don't have to be shocked, Chrissy Barymoer has helped so many newbies become millionaires through trading
Keep it simple. VTSAX is the best option.
How would it work for a 401K? Do I need to put in the full $3k upfront?
Yeah, that’s what I’m thinking, too. I think I have this option in my HSA and I need to pull the trigger so it’s not just sitting in cash.
Target retirement 2045 trust II
That's the one I have. Is that good?
If it’s too late for me to save for retirement, these funds all look great for me to start for my newborn kid and give them a head start.

Glad you think so!

Excellent video you explain this well!
Do M1 Finance do you can buy into VGT. Fractional share really help. Unless you have the $100,000 to buy into VITAX.
I need an opinion. My first Roth Ira. Any thoughts on VMGAX?

Finding it hard to translate these ticker names or fund names into The Australian vanguard
Is there a fund where I can exclude tesla and apple and meta, and Netflix, and Amazo? And Google and Microsoft?
No

Solid insights, appreciate it. 👌🏾

If you don't have the 3000 what fund is a good one to invest in?
The ETF equivalents. VTI, VXUS and BND
Thank you so much!!! 🐢
Thank you 🙏
How many mutual funds is good to have? I have two and thinking of an international fund for my third.
Funds are well diversified but you can also have a healthy diversified selection of index funds on your portfolio.
Can you please create an updated post, since the landscape has changed and will change significantly.
Are you referring to inflation or the market itself?
Is this still relevant this year?
This was awesome, thank you.👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Great 👍👍
Thank you
Your welcome!

this is gold. hold onto your money guys then go in on the crash. Its coming
Is it here? 🤔
@@callmefrog76never listen to anyone saying wait for a crash. Nobody knows when or even if that will happen
My brother in law has been telling me that for 6 years.
You lost me with Target Retirement Funds, real loosers
why’s that
Well, you lost me when you spelled losers as loosers.
@susanmcconnell6536 lol
😂
I wouldn't invest into vanguard it's tied up we blackrock the man that owns the world
Your loss. :)
So any other alternatives you recommend?
Then go into another one that will charge you way more for the same products and exists to appease shareholders.
