  • @JamesPuente
    @JamesPuente 2 года назад

    Really appreciate all your videos, they’ve helped me a ton. I installed a similar setup with regards to the hoses and Home Depot fittings.
    With this setup, have you ever noticed some almost metallic/rubbery/chemical smelling water with white aerated foam coming out for just only 10 seconds or so when you first pump water after it’s been sitting for a day?
    I’m having that issue, and it’s only the water that’s been in the lines, not the tank (like it doesn’t start smelling/tasting weird til 2-3 seconds after running my faucet and that stops after maybe 10 seconds of running it)
    And I’ve tasted my water off my tank’s drain valve, tastes and smells fine.
    The water in my tank tastes fine, but something in my shurflo pump, accumulator, all these vinyl hoses or metal fittings, or faucet is making it taste/smell off briefly each time…
    Idk 😂 maybe back to the drawing board on this one for me

    hey Colton, thanks for the great video... just wondering, do you know if the pump, when not pumping but still powered up, draws a small current? Maybe it does because it's always sensing for pressure, but maybe that pressure sensing is purely mechanical. I'm trying to avoid phantom loads... if the pump draws power when not in use, I'll locate the switch in a real convenient location. Otherwise, I'll put the switch in a cabinet.

  • @BrianEnglishman
