I thoroughly enjoyed the tour of the Michael Miller factory. They always have such beautiful fabric. Michael was concise and inviting when explaining the different phases of the process. As a novice quilter and dream seamstress it is invaluable to be familiar and comfortable with your fabric choices as you learn to sew. The education never ends. Thank you Sew Yeah for arranging the tour. Bravo to both of you!
We agree! It is such an educational process and we are so grateful to Michael and everyone at Michael Miller Fabrics for the tour and insight. We are so glad the video was enlightening and helpful. Happy quilting!❤️
Hello! I hope you are having a lovely day. I was visiting my grandkids and now have a bad head cold. So I get to sit and watch your videos with a hot cup of tea. I hope you have a joyful week ahead. Thank you for sharing this video!
Michael Miller is 1 of my fav fabric houses!! .I don't think they get nearly as much attention as they should.. if u haven't given them a shot in a quilt..you should..
I loved watching the machine rolling and measuring the 15 yards to go on to a bolt. Thanks for giving us the nitty gritty about our favorite textile, Fabric.
Very interesting. I have seen the machine that folds and put on the bolt before, but still enjoy seeing it. Michael Miller is one of my favorites. Would like see how that design is created and then printed. Thanks Sew Yeah and MM for this insight.
Loved the video and the chance to peek at the industry from the inside! Favorite thing: the bolt-making machine! WOW!!! What I would like to see: more info on the company, how many people work there, are they unionized, is there a showroom, drone's eye view of the warehouse buildings and lots. Also, maybe a design team interview, how they create their prints. THANKS!
I don't know about anyone else but seeing all that fabric makes my hands sweat , LOL I want to get them all . And what a nice tour Brody , nice to see what happens to get fabric out to the stores .💘💘💘💘💘💘
Love MM Fabrics. I especially love Fairy Frost. Fun to see the process. Interesting to see how the fabric gets folded and put on a bolt. Loved that electric knife.
Actually talking with THE Michael of Michael Miller Fabrics! Wow! The fabric folding, bolt wrapping machine was really cool, too. Would love to see design to printing of fabric.
All we are getting is a generic reply to our questions. Yes I would like to also see that design coming from the computer onto the fabric as well . I think Spoonflower has videos on how they print their fabrics but it’s all digital
I am a curiosity geek when it comes to anything that is manufactured, especially fabric! I used to work in a fabric store in the late 70s, early 80s... always wondered how the fabric got folded and put on the bolts! So cool! Thanks for sharing!
Very interesting. Enjoyed seeing the process and knowing a bit more. Am so thankful to learn that Fairy Frost fabrics has not been DC'd. Had looked and looked a while back online and could not find them. Just happened upon the Sew Yeah online warehouse sale last week and delighted to find the FFs. They are so amazingly beautiful. Thanks.
We are so glad you found us! We would love you to join us for our live RUclips sales! Please call or text us at 702-280-4552 for more information. Hope to see you there!
Loved this video. Really cool to see the process. I was wondering where the cotton is sourced from before it’s printed. I am aware its printed in either Korea or Japan. I would also love to see the precut process sometime. Thank you!
What a cool tour! I love behind the scenes operations. I'd love to know how many employees he has, plus what's the capacity of the warehouse - bolts in/out per month or year. I love a good bus ops story.
