Yea when i went to Japan Last year, in Akihabara, when i went to Hey Arcade and taito stations, i enjoyed watching Real Bout 2 at a high level and imo very entertaining to watch and over all fun game to play. I have fond memories playing RB2 on the Fatal Fury Battle Archives 2 with my friends and till this day i still have a lot of fun playing that game today. RB2 really aged well from art style and graphics along with Garou. But overall to me personally RB2 is my favorite Fatal Fury game of them all. I'm still looking forward to COTW but RB2 will always have a specail place in my heart.
You know KOF (classic ones) to this day are still being played over here in Mexico. 👍

@@ameerrusdi2540 KOF's only hope after this upcoming FF (that is on the way to be successful) is get the sequel looking good and feeling fresh to play. And a good story too, maybe replacing Shun'ei, or working on a new design and a developed personality that can redeem him... Because he is not respected by the community, he is the biggest failure of protagonist in all SNK.
@@carlosaugusto9821 if u see his ending u see shun ei go training around the world pretty much I said he gonna get new design plus in story wise for manga shun ei is interesting and actually not bad character if u read kof 14 I like him because he actually fcking clueless about modern city world him having bad design was his character he literally suck at fashion and in manga he actually didn't even know what BBQ at all.also kof 15 story need to have manga snk really make the story so ambiguous to even understand what happened

Fatal Fury was made to rival Street Fighter in the 90s & now it'll bring SNK back to the limelight in 2024-25.
Can't wait to see how good the game will get!
I even get the feel that if FF is successful (it doesn't even need to be as much as GGST, just better than KOF 15) it might become the new focus of SNK and no longer KOF. Because it's more convenient to work in a 1v1 fg in this era, where KOF doesn't have the same impact it had in the 90s (that overshadowed FF, including even Garou MOTW).
It was easy to manage the growth of KOF back then because the old fg scene favored repetitive sequels (but today it's demanded that sequels feel fresh, which means more risks trying different mechanics) and it tolerated sequels recycling the same sprites (but nowadays games are criticized even if the sequel's new 3d graphics don't look much different, like MK1). And KOF is the franchise that is famous for a big roster, and that must never change.
The fact snk are putting so much effort into making city of the wolves the best game which explains why it took over evo japan 2024

This graphics update and brand new art style choice of SNK is bringing a surprising amount of attention to the upcoming FF... Most importantly outside the average SNK bubble. In a lower degree it reminds me of when Arcsys created their modern cel shading style with GG Xrd, that changed the company forever from that point onwards and brought a lot of eyes to their new games, from outside the average Arcsys niche bubble. And now the company is at its best moment.
So I also wish FF's achievements are a great support to SNK's future projects exploring different franchises. Maybe SNK attracts 3rd party attention in the future, like Arcsys does now, to make games of other franchises. Arcsys already worked with Persona, DBZ, Granblue, DNF, etc.

SNK exploring their franchises catalog in my opinion is important to grow the company, because it's not a good idea to do nothing but KOF, like Capcom is focused on SF right now. For SNK that is a bigger loss than for Capcom, because SNK has more fg franchises and those are (collectively) overall more charismatic franchises than the sum of Capcom's other fg franchises. And their public recognition is much lower than SF's, a mainstream name... meanwhile there's not a large difference of recognition between FF vs KOF. A strong sign of that is how many people don't know Rival Schools whenever a RS char appears, since CvS2 to recently in SF5.
