I really wanted to make an ashtray at home but after doing research, I’ve seen that you should NOT use air dry clay but use ones that are safe for kilns as that’s the only clay that’s safe for fire (like incense holders, ash trays, etc). I guess I mainly wanted to ask: Can you use acrylic paint and put it in the kiln? (And if not, which paint types?) Thank you sm ! 🥰

do you put resin after or is it okay that way? is it fire retardant???
you dont have to put anything on it after you're done making it :) Usually after i finish painting it i just put some varnish.
