    I’m sure you already know this, seeing as how you’ve got all the other items for sculpey-but there’s actually a Sculpey glue! There’s also another material that they sell to get rid of the fingerprints on your clay. Both of those items I just wish I had those when I was 13 years old playing with copy for the first time because I’ve gone 40 years until I figured that out!
    And also your editing is really good. Nice to see you on RUclips. Hope you survive girl! ❤

    Thank you for sharing, what a lovely charming doll. 🥰🥰 it's beautiful.I love how your video is easy to understand. I'm just looking into making my 1st one and getting as much info before I do. Could you ever do a video on the clays? And how they work. It could be a silly question but does clay that you use, they dry really hard or do they dry but still soft and bendy. Do you have to cook them. And what's the best type of brand to use. No doubt you might have already made one further down 😂 I do apologise if you have.

    • @Wickelle
      @Wickelle  10 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you! :) The clay I used is super sculpey, it's a polymer clay, so it needs to be baked to harden. I like it because I'm very slow at sculpting, so I don't have to worry about the clay air drying/hardening while i'm working on a project. It's not flexible once baked tho.

    • @Wickelle

    Did you bake the torso pieces of the body with the wire implemented in it still?

    • @Wickelle
      @Wickelle  4 месяца назад +1

      Yes, you can put wire in the oven, just make sure to use aluminum wire :)

  • @luminoustears4679
    @luminoustears4679 Месяц назад

    How do you bake the clay hips and chest? You cant bake with the wire, so do you just take them off and somehow glue them back together?? And is it safe to bake the head even though it has aluminium foil inside? Idk if these are stupid questions, i dunno what i am doing

    • @Wickelle
      @Wickelle  Месяц назад +1

      If you use polymer clay and aluminum wire, you can bake it (Aluminum can go in the oven). You can always use air drying clay, or epoxy clay which won't require heat to harden

    Does the foam keep the armature from snapping? Or just hold in place if it does?

    • @Wickelle
      @Wickelle  4 месяца назад +1

      The foam from the sponge is to add mass and shape to the body (basically like muscles). I suppose it would hold the wire in place if it snaps, but if you double twist your wire and use a wire that has good flexibility it shouldn't snap at all unless you use excessive force or repeatedly bend it in the same place. I would suggest testing the wire first, to see if it holds up well, before building the doll.

    I love her💙 . Do you have any suggestions for varnishing dolls especially for protecting blush?

    • @Wickelle
      @Wickelle  Год назад +1

      I usually don't varnish any of my sculptures but I probably should. Iv'e seen a lot of doll customizers use Mr super clear, but I've never tried it myself. I imagine any kind of art sealant could work, but I would recommend to test it on a scrap piece first because I know some sealants don't react well to polymer clay/paint.

    • @karymarie9786
      @karymarie9786 Год назад

      @@Wickelle thanks, excited to see more of your art work❤ iv been running into some problems were I find that most sealants dont react well with clay. Liquatex professional matte varnish is ok but but still has a sort of faint shine to it, there is also the brand Gold polymere matte varnish that a nother artist Tina yu uses,but is currently temporarily discontinued. Been thinking about switching to apoxi clay so that I can safely use spray vertion of the Gold matte varnish but then Ill lose the benefits at working at my pace and being able to make changes,due to the clay hardening

    • @Wickelle
      @Wickelle  Год назад

      @@karymarie9786 I see, it's a bummer that the product got discontinued. I'll keep an eye out for polymer clay varnish/sealants!
