I love your videos, Paul. I could sit and watch these for hours (and I have). Sometimes we connect RUclips to the TV in the family room, and I watch with my 3 kids. True story. I'll ask them next weekend which their favorite WP shows are, and I'll let you know. My faves are album covers/VHS collections. I also love your collection vids such as keychains etc.
+Todd E Walnuts Thank you. I try to do a different subject each week because I know everyone likes different things. So I alternate records, vhs, collections and my life experience videos!
I used to have a Frankenstein Pez dispenser don't know what happened to it. I got a Frankenstein candle holder last October and plan to start collecting halloween stuff again this year :D
Ah, rad collection! I actually just found that tiny Freddy (with the hat!) at a yard sale. In my video I was asking if anyone knew anything about it, because I couldn't find a lick of information on him. SO now I know at least a little bit more! Cheers!
+Anthony Rapino Here is a listing for it on eBay - www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1988-Nightmare-on-Elm-Street-Freddy-Krueger-Stick-Up-Doll-Sealed-/371423150146?hash=item567a8b8042:g:RDIAAOSwd0BV3yOq
ive been watching a ton of your videos this past week and this one's my favorite! my birthday is not far from Halloween so I always had spooky toys like these as a kid
The closest I had to a monster toy was one of those Godzilla figures manufactured under the Shogun Warrior line in the 70's. You could launch one of its claws and press down on a lever behind its neck to stick out its fiery tongue.
Hello and thank you for posting/ creating this video today on my Facebook group page I posted many example of Monster Toys and you helped me entertain my group ! Thank you.
Those are some swell toys! Frankenstein is my favorite monster, I'm thinkin'. I like him and werewolf stories because he's basically just confused and freaked out and werewolves are cursed. They're both victims of a sort of personal Hell through no fault of their own and neither has completely lost their humanity like a zombie or in most cases a vampire. That's horror!
+munchycrunchypancake Werewolves are my favorite, just because like you say, they are human part of the time and are cursed and have to live and deal with it knowing they can't die.
I have the Freddy toy. I remember begging my grandmother to buy that and Nightmare on Elm Street 5 poster at Woolworth. I also have the Universal Monsters. Got them in 06 at Dollar Tree along with full size posters that hang in my bathroom. I assume Dollar Tree and other sellers possibly faced a lawsuit or something because you never saw them being sold again
+Jason Harshman Yeah they never did appear there again. I got the one full size "Curse of the Werewolf" poster, that was the only one that my store had.
+ORIGINAL VLOGGER 80'S WEIRD PAUL I got the curse of the werewolf, bride of frankenstein, mummy, dracula, frankenstein and king Kong poster. I believe they had a godzilla poster too. also got some Dracula and bride of frankenstein playing cards. I'm obsessed with Universal Monsters though oddly the curse of the werewolf movie is a hammer film. not sure how they got that.
Well, even though it is a Hammer film, it was distributed in the United States by Universal. So that must be why. But the Lon Chaney Jr werewolf would have been so much better!!
The thing I remember the most about my childhood Halloween years where the Garbage pail kids costumes, the cool decorations and Friday The 13th The Series TV show Halloween episode.
+Bo88y Beretta Great memories! Here's a little footage of my family getting ready for trick or treating in 1986: ruclips.net/video/hVO-aX_-3q4/видео.html
Ha! I had a Freddy Krueger just like that, but he was attached to a string and a suction cup, to hang in your car window. I had him in my back rear view window of my '78 Cutlass (this was about 1989). for added laughs you could his pants down too. so I had him hanging there for while with his trousers around his ankles. lol
omg! I remember the cereal box flashlights. do you have any of the police academy figures? I still got a few figures and some beatlejuice figures. nice vid man!
As a big Frankenstein fan, I have some of these as well! I've seen from another video you also have the Curse of the Werewolf poster, which was part of that same Creepy Classics line of monster items made for dollar stores. The posters were surprisingly decent quality, I got a couple myself. Along with the finger puppets, the mini figures from the line were also decent, and now cost much more than a dollar on ebay! PS - the big Imperial Frankenstein figure has a larger cousin: a giant 1979 1/6 scale model kit from a company called Tsukuda, which has the exact same sculpt.
Hey Paul! Do you have any tips on starting my own toy collection? Did you just keep odds and ends of things you liked or actually seek out to find certain things to collect? Did you ever think as a kid you'd be sharing this stuff to a online audience? Love the hair man! Keep up the videos!!
+Heather Heaton Thanks Heather! Most of the stuff I have and that I show on RUclips, I have had since I was a teenager or younger. I would just find stuff that I thought looked cool to collect. I don't collect as much stuff as I used to because I don't really have any money now. That's my biggest tip is to try not to spend too much. You can find awesome stuff at thrift stores sometimes. I've always wanted to share all the stuff I've collected but there was never a way until the internet. The younger me would be very surprised. I did always hope that I could share my old home movies though. I always hoped they would end up on TV or something, which of course they have, now!
Another great and fun to watch video. Right for Halloween. Will you be going out saturday, or staying at home waitingg for the tirck-or-treaters? Either way have a good time.
the creepy classics stuff went farther than that--playing cards//posters//other figures than the ones you have. they were here in the dollar stores--bought all of them except the ones you have.
hey, Paul, I just recently watched an episode of American Pickers in which George and Mike take a look in this place called Eagle Park. I recall you having an episode about all the old amusement parks you visited, and was wondering if Eagle was one of the places you visited. If you care to watch the episode in question, I'd love to hear your thoughts on the matter, perhaps in the form of a video.
The channel is great dude-keep 'em coming. the monster bobbles are a weird concept, and your Freddy looks a little like Donald Trump, haha. nice collection. I have some stuff to send you, you have a po box?
Thank you Rando! I don't have a PO Box, but I do give out my address for people to send things. You can message me here on RUclips, or on any social media or at weirdpaulp@gmail.com and I will give it to you
Please never stop with these videos that will go down in history as some of the finest videos ever created
Thank you Timothy!

Weirderino Paul! This was a great collection of monster junk. I love Vampire Candle appearing in your home videos whenever you needed a vampire!
+toycoon Thanks, I love all these toys so much!
I used to have a Frankenstein Pez dispenser don't know what happened to it. I got a Frankenstein candle holder last October and plan to start collecting halloween stuff again this year :D
Ooh I didn't know they made Frankenstein Pez, that's so cool!
Ah, rad collection! I actually just found that tiny Freddy (with the hat!) at a yard sale. In my video I was asking if anyone knew anything about it, because I couldn't find a lick of information on him. SO now I know at least a little bit more! Cheers!

+norxcontacts I actually saw that Freddy doll on ebay still new in the package. Has the hat!

No. There's no year on them and information is very scarce.
Fun stuff! I enjoy the Frankenstein's monster toys the most.

+SouthRd83 Wow that's cool, I didn't know they made masks of him!

I'm unfamiliar with the monster bobble toys. Cool stuff!
+jonanjello Thanks! I have had those since the early 90s! I never knew anything about them but I always thought they were awesome!
I remember those Creep Classics toys in the local Dollar Tree stores
Have you ever seen the Drak pack cartoon ?
Another great video. I look forward to many more.
+snakehips3131 That's good, because there's lots more on the way!

haha hilarious! Mine was missing the string and suction cup, but it should have had them.
Excellent Review of your Monster Toys you have my friend!-Garrison.
+NG2CNetwork Thank you!
omg! I remember the cereal box flashlights. do you have any of the police academy figures? I still got a few figures and some beatlejuice figures. nice vid man!
+nostalgic 80'skid I love the Police Academy movies! I wish I had some of the toys, maybe I'll get some, someday!

Cool! I got to the dollar store too late, the Curse of the Werewolf poster was the only one left. Glad I got it, though!

+Vebinz Thank you! I have to work Halloween night. Blah.

the creepy classics stuff went farther than that--playing cards//posters//other figures than the ones you have. they were here in the dollar stores--bought all of them except the ones you have.
+RIPPY McRippington WOW! I wish I had all that stuff. I do have one of the posters I think, "Curse of the Werewolf" - do you have that one?
I had it, but I gave it to my guitarist, he collects werewolves only, haha
nice!
Speaking of holiday-themed toys, any chance you'll put up a video of Easter and/or Christmas themed toys in your collection?
Gee, I don't think I have very many of either. I probably will put up a video about my Christmas ornaments this year though.
Retro Fantastique... nice job Paul :-)
+Allotment Grow How Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!
