The part where you mentioned how you wanted that Darth Vader case and it being sold out from the store, then to arrive home after that disappointing car ride back to have it waiting for you after your mom bought it for you made me crack a big smile and get that fuzzy happy feeling lol. Thanks for the video Paul and for the smiles that go along with them!
It's refreshing to see someone's original collection with missing limbs, paint and accessories and not in pristine card backs and arcrylic cases. I appreciate your archive footage edited in too, well done. Keep up the ace work fella! 👍🏽
This video sure does bring back some fond memories. Many a birthday and Christmas ripping into my Star Wars toys. My obsession started in 1977 and has never stopped. I have at least 1 of every Kenner Star Wars figure made between 1977 - 1985. There are only 2 - 3 harder to find figures that I don't have but have dozens of others. About 80% of my collection came from my original collection. I was very careful with mine so most look like the were never played with. That goes the same with my vehicles and play sets. I have a Death Star play set that only came out of the box once or twice because I was afraid I would damage it or lose pieces. I still have every piece in it's original box. Anyway...I enjoyed the video. Thanks.
Great how you could get the free toys with proof of purchase. A big thumbs up to your mum for already buying you the collectors case. That was brilliant!
Yes, as a kid it was amazing how much cool stuff we got for free by sending in the proof of purchase. I could do a whole video about that stuff sometime.
Amazing to have a video of yourself opening an IG-88 for Christmas when you were a kid! I have similar fond Xmas memories but no videos were taken. Same with your recording of your sisters voice, your diary entry & kept packets - great to still have those links. Keep up the great nostalgia vids!! Happy to be Subscribing to your hugely interesting channel.
I remember going to JC Penney in Central Mall to buy our Star Wars figures. They were about $2.50 on average. Once I found a $5.00 bill in JC Penney and immediately purchased more Star Wars figures. Really cool collection Paul.
I need a bib for tuna also. Once at GW outlet years ago, there were piles of Star Wars pieces. Grabbed everything for $15 at $1.49 lb? And I got the leftovers! 50 weapons, 12 figs, 4 ships including AT-AT and parts galore! Still have my orig X-wing pilot.
Just looked at my figures over Thanksgiving, it was like digging up a treasure chest. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who saved the figures cards, cut out proof of purchases and all...thanks Paul!
Very cool! I saved every figure card when I got them. At some point during my teenage years, I threw them all out except those three. I really regret that now!
Your mom sounds amazing, that reminds me of my mom and my love for the 80s gi joe action figures, I remember her going out of her way to hunt down every figure from the first run of characters from the back of the card. I remember one christmas she even got me all the mail in figures like refrigerator perry, sgt slaughter and grid iron etc. Even though she past away 10 years ago, I still look back at those memories and remember how much she loved me. I wish I still had a lot of the toys from my childhood, sadly I went through a destructive phase with my old toys when I started going into puberty and noticing girls. A lot of my toys either were melted and merged with other toys or resculpted to make new toys, or they were just blown up with m80s pretending they were suicide bombers .... In some ways I was a lot like sid from the pixar movie toy story at that age. LMAO
Weird Paul by the way my dad has a 8-track recorder I recorded Juicy J it's gangster music and hardcore gangster my videos watch my videos it's in my checking my RUclips channel it's on there
Great Collection! I always liked that Anakin figure. I'm impressed that you still have those three lightsabers. So often they are missing when I find figures at yard sales.
Hills was an awesome store. Sad to see that 3.5 " figures now retail for near $10 Miss having all those great figures. Now, on Ebay some of the original go for $100 and up. GI JOE figures also. Paul, your videos are excellent. Have a great Week.
Nice collection Paul.......my not so fond memory of my Star Wars collection was my dad buying me the millennium falcon. He jammed the landing gear into the wrong slot, broke it and returned it to Kmart. I think I'll put that on my Xmas list this year..........if I could find it!
Damn, these toys were a big part of my childhood. I had the Han Solo trench coat figure. I got it from a place called Consumers Distributing when it came out. I kept luke for years but lost Han the week I got him on a school trip to the Toronto Zoo. Wow dude, that is a ton of Star Wars figures. I wish I still had mine. I had a pretty rad toy collection. Pretty awesome of your mom to have gotten that case for you.
I've always wanted the Han Solo Trench Coat figure. I promise you I am not joking about this... I used to know a kid who had it and would say he found it at a zoo! I must say that it is doubtful he was ever at the Toronto Zoo. It's just a weird thing that while watching this video, that memory popped into my head and then as I scrolled down to comments, yours is the first one I read.
My brother and I grew up with Star Wars, but I wasn't into much of the films until I went to my friends place to watch the original trilogy. My fav SW film was Empire Strikes Back
I was lucky and had about 85% of the figures on the poster and I had sent in for the free figures as well. So many great memories Star Wars brings back. I remember playing with the imperial guards in the back of my dads station wagon and throwing the figures in the air like you did on your video when they got killed by Darth Vader. One went right out the back window which was slightly open & I remember it bouncing down the busy road to this day lol. I guess the force wasn't with that figure :)
I bought a vinyl caped Jawa at Hills department store back in the day. I never opened it because I'd previously played with a friends Jawa figure at school, and it had the cloth robes. I thought that the vinyl cape version was somekind of mistake, so I kept it in the package for years and years. It might still be at my parent's place somewhere, but it might also be lost to history. Dunno.
Good stuff bud. I sent away for the same Emperor figure and that was the longest 4 to 6 weeks of my life. haha If showed up when I was away at camp in Maine. My mom was sure to mention it in a letter sent to me there. haha Another great vid bro.
I really find it amazing how u at such a young age into recording devises or using video to record ,a lot of kids at that age just really didnt do much of that .I was 16 yrs of age 1980 when found my family 8mm movie camera and started making small films with friends like star wars ,superman or even our own little horror flicks .Seriously what was ur first time as kid u felt the urge to start documenting ur child hood
I had the Micronauts Battle Cruiser. I played with it a lot, I loved how the sides of the ship were removable guns. I left it at home when I moved out. Later, my mom gave it to my son to play with. Now it's back in my house again!
Here's a look at where I keep some of it. It's organized enough that I feel that I am able to get to pretty much anything I need within minutes. ruclips.net/video/o2YTgXpd9kU/видео.html
I don't have the Annakin or most of the other Power of the Force figures (just Lando, R2 and an ewok or two) but I have ALL of the ones on your poster. I just need a Blue Snaggle Tooth to have all of them from the original 3 movies!!!!
4:00 Who cut his head off? Anakin Skywalker! Fun fact: In Attack of the Clones, when Anakin kills his first Tusken Raider, watch the clip in slow motion and you can see Anakin cut his poor head off.
No, it's just some sounds from the VHS. You can hear my phone vibrating in some of my videos, though! Here is my Monster in My Pockets collection: ruclips.net/video/fvcj1Ad9foM/видео.html

Hey Paul, love the vid as always. I have a question for your next ask Paul series, not sure if it's been asked. In all of your vintage videos you are wearing really cool 80s frame plastic or wire rim prescription glasses. Why don't you wear them anymore? I'm positive you still own them all. Thanks Paul!
No I never was into Star Trek, I don't think I even saw it until I was an adult. My girlfriend is really into Trek and she is turning our whole bedroom into some kind of Trek museum it seems like.
I have Jabba. You can see him in my 80's Birthday Presents video. Jabba came in a playset, that's why I didn't include him in this video. I'll do another video about playsets and maybe one on vehicles, in the future.
Did you collect multiple storm troopers so you could have an army, or did they just fall into your collection? :D Problem with storm troopers in toy collecting, it looks odd if you only own the one.
They just fell into my collection, honestly. We'd find them at rummage junk sales, I would get whatever we found. I agree it's better to have several than just one!
This was so fun to watch for some reason
Glad you enjoyed it, Josh. Check out some of my other Star Wars videos if you get a chance!
Glad to see that you like Star Wars too. Star Wars is like something that is now a huge part of my life now
The part where you mentioned how you wanted that Darth Vader case and it being sold out from the store, then to arrive home after that disappointing car ride back to have it waiting for you after your mom bought it for you made me crack a big smile and get that fuzzy happy feeling lol. Thanks for the video Paul and for the smiles that go along with them!
Thanks for watching and I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Very cool collection Paul. Nice that you have toys from your childhood along with the stories
Thanks! There's lots more, toys and stories, coming up next year!
Nice Prince Adam wig 😂
PS: 8D8 is awesome. So was EV-9D9 two years later.
It's refreshing to see someone's original collection with missing limbs, paint and accessories and not in pristine card backs and arcrylic cases. I appreciate your archive footage edited in too, well done. Keep up the ace work fella! 👍🏽
Thanks! I want to present everything as it is, as my life was and is.

Awesome Star Wars Collection Paul.👍👍😃✌ May the force be with you paul

Yes, as a kid it was amazing how much cool stuff we got for free by sending in the proof of purchase. I could do a whole video about that stuff sometime.
That's so sweet of your mom to surprise you with the Darth Vader box.😍
She's still surprising me with stuff!
2-1B is one of my faves as well
Wow this Star Wars video made my day so many memories of collecting SW!
Thanks Humberto, I'm glad you liked it! Check out some of my other Star Wars collection videos if you get a chance.

Awesome collection and great old school footage.
Thank yo very much!
3:54 I have the same figure missing exactly the same leg, but its chewed up, not melted.
That's strange!
Ah Paul seeing some of those brought back so many good memories!!
That's great! Thanks for watching!
The Yoda took me straight back to 1983. Great collection man.
Thanks Eric. The Yoda makes me laugh. He's kind of amusing.
i loved this video Paul. brought back so many memories of me trying to get all the star wars action figures . sadly all my childhood toys were lost.
That is sad Allan. I hope the video gave you some good memories.
I remember going to JC Penney in Central Mall to buy our Star Wars figures. They were about $2.50 on average. Once I found a $5.00 bill in JC Penney and immediately purchased more Star Wars figures. Really cool collection Paul.
Cool, original unboxing and playing footage from the 80s!
I wish I had that entire playing footage video - I taped over half of it a few months after I made it!
Woah, that's insane! I can't imagine finding anything like that there now, there's so much competition.
8-10 years ago?
We didn't even have an Outlet in these parts back then.
Salem Oregon has had a Goodwill outlet since the 80'sor 90's!!!
That is pretty mind-blowing.

You have a nice collection, I love you, I collected them too as a kid.
Awesome collection Paul!
Thanks Cody!
Weird Paul by the way my dad has a 8-track recorder I recorded Juicy J it's gangster music and hardcore gangster my videos watch my videos it's in my checking my RUclips channel it's on there
Cool, I'll check it out. I think it's pretty awesome recording gangsta rap on an 8-track
cody lefler ii
Awesome video Paul! I could watch videos like this for hours!
I would want a figure from the Royal Guard and a Black Squadron Pilot Trooper.
Thanks! I think that Royal Guard figure is the one I want the most out of the ones I don't have!
Great Collection! I always liked that Anakin figure. I'm impressed that you still have those three lightsabers. So often they are missing when I find figures at yard sales.
Aside from throwing my figures, I did take good care of them. I actually have many of the accessories as well, but I didn't show most of them.
very cool, I started collecting alot I had as a kid again
Awesome!
Nice collection Paul! The most fun I had with toys as a child was with my Pokemon figures. I didn't had the 150 original Pokemons but I was close
Thanks! Sounds like you had a great Pokemon collection! I just got a bunch of little Pokemon figures at the thrift store the other day!
So much fun. I have about the same assortment of SW figures, including a headless Tuscan Raider
Seriously? Man, our Tusken Raiders can start a headless clan
Yeah. I remember that the head broke off in the process of turning his head halfway round! That never happened to another of my SW figures.
Amazing collection
Thanks!
I dont know why, but I've watched this video so many times
Kenner made a really cool C3PO case that played dialogue from the movie with the press of a button.
Hills was an awesome store. Sad to see that 3.5 " figures now retail for near $10 Miss having all those great figures. Now, on Ebay some of the original go for $100 and up. GI JOE figures also. Paul, your videos are excellent. Have a great Week.

Really cool Paul!
Thanks Johnny!
Nice collection Paul.......my not so fond memory of my Star Wars collection was my dad buying me the millennium falcon. He jammed the landing gear into the wrong slot, broke it and returned it to Kmart. I think I'll put that on my Xmas list this year..........if I could find it!
Man...yeah that's a bad memory if I ever heard one.
Awesome collection.
Thank you!

That is super weird, wow!
My brother and I grew up with Star Wars, but I wasn't into much of the films until I went to my friends place to watch the original trilogy. My fav SW film was Empire Strikes Back
I have met some people (mostly in their 20's) who have still never seen the original trilogy.
I have, but only the special editions from both 1997 and 2004
I was lucky and had about 85% of the figures on the poster and I had sent in for the free figures as well. So many great memories Star Wars brings back. I remember playing with the imperial guards in the back of my dads station wagon and throwing the figures in the air like you did on your video when they got killed by Darth Vader. Oh man! That must be every kid's nightmare, when something goes flying out the car window!
hey weird paul. Thanks for sharing your video and may the force be with you.
And also with you! Check out some of the other Star Wars videos on my channel if you haven't seen them yet!
i love star wars weird Paul so cool!!!!!!
Thanks! I have a bunch of videos about my Star Wars stuff. Did you see the one about the homemade catalog? ruclips.net/video/_dvYWS8PsPg/видео.html
I bought a vinyl caped Jawa at Hills department store back in the day. I never opened it because I'd previously played with a friends Jawa figure at school, and it had the cloth robes. Wow. That would be cool to see now.
Right on! 👍🏻 amazing collection!
Thanks Sara!
I wish I could hit 'like' on this video more than once! Cos I like it a lot!
Your figures are in GREAT shape from their appearance in the video.
I'll just add a couple likes to the number I see!
Thanks for letting me into your World Paul, and lovely story about the DV display case
No problem, thank you for watching!
Very cool. I collect vintage Star Wars figures as well. :)
Nice.
Weird Paul is the man! 🤘
+LSweet2007 😁
Great collection, man.
Thank you!
love your videos paul
Thank you!
Thanks for the videos. Quality vlog of quality stuff.
Thanks for watching!
Good stuff bud. I sent away for the same Emperor figure and that was the longest 4 to 6 weeks of my life. haha If showed up when I was away at camp in Maine. My mom was sure to mention it in a letter sent to me there. haha Another great vid bro.
Thanks! It really was hard to be patient when you knew something like that was going to take a month to get to you.
did you have the Powell Peralta skateboard?
I really find it amazing how u at such a young age into recording devises or using video to record ,a lot of kids at that age just really didnt do much of that .I was 16 yrs of age 1980 when found my family 8mm movie camera and started making small films with friends like star wars ,superman or even our own little horror flicks .Seriously what was ur first time as kid u felt the urge to start documenting ur child hood
Love this
I love your figures they are so cool I wanted the empire toy so bad
The 80's was the best of the 's.
I like it.
How many are your star wars
Paul, did you ever play with Micronauts?? That's what I collected. I loved Star Wars but the Micronauts were what I wanted!
Micronauts....greatness!
I remember those I had a bunch of them even BioTron!
I had the Micronauts Battle Cruiser. I played with it a lot, I loved how the sides of the ship were removable guns. I left it at home when I moved out. Later, my mom gave it to my son to play with. Now it's back in my house again!
Where do you store all of your finds Paul?
Here's a look at where I keep some of it. It's organized enough that I feel that I am able to get to pretty much anything I need within minutes. ruclips.net/video/o2YTgXpd9kU/видео.html
This is one of the most well-documented stories
I don't have the Annakin or most of the other Power of the Force figures (just Lando, R2 and an ewok or two) but I have ALL of the ones on your poster. I just need a Blue Snaggle Tooth to have all of them from the original 3 movies!!!!
Incredible, I hope you are able to complete your collection!
Cool video, Paul. If you're even able to can you narrow your most favorite Star Wars movie down to one?
Thanks Jason! Yes, my favorite Star Wars movie is Return of the Jedi.
4:00
Who cut his head off? Anakin Skywalker! Fun fact: In Attack of the Clones, when Anakin kills his first Tusken Raider, watch the clip in slow motion and you can see Anakin cut his poor head off.
Where do store all of these?
ruclips.net/video/o2YTgXpd9kU/видео.html
6:55 - is that your mobile phone vibrating? Great video Paul. Do you have any Monster in my Pockets?
No, it's just some sounds from the VHS. You can hear my phone vibrating in some of my videos, though! Here is my Monster in My Pockets collection: ruclips.net/video/fvcj1Ad9foM/видео.html
Great :-)
Awesome collection Paul! Did you collect any thundercats as a kid?
Thanks! I never collected any Thundercats. In fact, I still have never had a single one.
Loved the video!😁
Thank you Jim! I have a bunch of other Star Wars videos on my channel, check them out if you get a chance!
I wonder if Muppet's gonzo, meaning "weird," having a similar facial protrusion, to Sy- snootles, instills in me, that she is perhaps the weirdest vintage figure from the line? But it gets weirder, whenever I hear the band - Till Tuesday, singing song, voices carry, I somehow imagine, that it's the Max Rebo Band, singing it! Oh oh, now that I mentioned it, I guess, I'll have you thinking it too now, when you hear it! LOL
Yes I am now thinking it!
nice collection
Thanks Will!
I wish you would have showed all your figures in the case
Almost hard to believe that action figures that cost a couple bucks back in the day can be worth so much more in 2017, especially if you kept them in mint-condition with the original backing cards. Even loose figures can go for a small fortune. I saw a Snaggletooth in the rare blue uniform, sans backing card, selling for about $250 in a vintage toy store. My eyeballs almost popped out of my head when I saw the price sticker!
Rich collectors are willing to pay those prices. It's incredible!
Awesome collection man! All I had was the Greedo figure. Hey, I'd like to send you some stuff. How would I get your shipping address?
Thanks! You can message me here on RUclips, or message me on any other social media. OR you can e-mail me at weirdpaulp@gmail.com and I'll give you my address through any of those.
Yes, I will do a video on all the glasses I have owned sometime soon.
Just curious Paul, did you manage to save all those weapons the figures came with?
Every figure that I bought new, I still have the weapons. I keep them all behind the little door inside the Darth Vader case.
Nice collection man I have quite a few myself. What do you have as far as vehicles though?
Thanks! The vehicles video will be coming up next year!
BTW: the best end card :)
haha, thanks!
Why do you have a bowl cut?
The answer you seek will be found here: ruclips.net/video/H5HJ-YUZpfE/видео.html
Awesome mom! Paul!
Awesome collection as well!
Thanks! Today was her 70th birthday!
Happy Birthday to her!! xD
love your channel Weird Paul, you have a new subscriber
Thanks Damian, thank you for subscribing!
Have u ever collected the originals of Star Trek?
No I never was into Star Trek, I don't think I even saw it until I was an adult. My girlfriend is really into Trek and she is turning our whole bedroom into some kind of Trek museum it seems like.
Thought this video was great man. Definitely a thumbs up from me! 👍
Thank you!
no Jabba the hut lol great video
I have Jabba. You can see him in my 80's Birthday Presents video. Jabba came in a playset, that's why I didn't include him in this video. I'll do another video about playsets and maybe one on vehicles, in the future.
Memories man, think I had a few figures but I never collected them.
I think the largest part of mine came from rummage sales. You never see them at rummage sales now.
Oh Wow I didn't know Peter Tork from the Monkees was a Star Wars toy collector!!!
Wow, I didn't know that either! Does he have a large collection?
so weird but a great video!
It has to be weird!
I didn't know Star Wars action figures were cheaper in the 80's than right now
They were...but of course, with inflation that price would be more now.
“In the name of what is bad I Darth Vader will kill you all”😂😂😂😂😂😂
I have a lot of these figures
Wow big collection. And do you like droids a lot because some of the droids are the worse or people don't care
I love the droids. They are very cool.
ORIGINAL VLOGGER 80'S WEIRD PAUL ohh ok
Remember when the millennium falcon used to cost 24.77$ in 77'
The only Star Wars thing I had in '77 was the trading cards. I didn't see the movie or get any of the toys until the 80s.
Did you make this a while back?
My only action figure I have is my old boba fett toy I got from my mom about a year ago, and I have boba fetts autograph
Cut out proofs of purchases and mail them in? What does that mean? LOL! Keep up the kool vids!
haha, right? I still can't believe some of the stuff we got for free for sending in labels in the 80s!
Ummm I don't think a cut off head it appropriate Kenner I think that is way off chart
Did you collect multiple storm troopers so you could have an army, or did they just fall into your collection? :D
Problem with storm troopers in toy collecting, it looks odd if you only own the one.
They just fell into my collection, honestly. We'd find them at rummage junk sales, I would get whatever we found.
I agree it's better to have several than just one!
Cool
Stop in the name of what is bad. That's some Spaceballs level dialogue!
I can see why you didn’t have the vehicles because they were expensive
RIP princess liea
RIP
are you friends with adam the woo
i feel like you two would get along
I don't know who that is
