Every black person that takes part in forcing babies and children to do this, you don’t deserve parenthood and I hope someone calls CPS. If not for this, then any other reason. Any reason. This is so gross.

They're teaching an infant to hate her hair already. Who is this even for? Clearly that baby doesn't want it, so the adult is the one that hates their child so much. People like this should not be parents.

My younger half sisters mom makes her get weave because her mom (Hispanic) doesn't take care of it correctly and is too lazy to learn so she either shaves it or makes her get super long weave that looks terrible on her. I feel so bad for my sister, and I wish she lived closer to me instead of several states away because I would love to help her embrace her natural hair 💔 honestly reminds me of myself because my mom did the same thing (besides shaving) and then would get upset at me for my hair breaking off as if SHE wasn't the one destroying my hair by perming it, constantly straightening it, and forcing me to get weave! Had she taken the time to learn my hair it wouldn't have taken me until 2 YEARS AGO at age 21 to learn to love, embrace, and take care of my hair in it's natural state, and guess what? MY HAIR IS FLOURISHING NOW! It's very unfortunate how sometimes the person who's supposed to be building you up is the one that knocks you down, unintentionally or not.

Glued on wigs are disgusting. They make the scalp a breeding ground for yeast and odor causing bacteria. She's going to have bumps and ingrown hairs on her scalp! No one should be glueing wigs on and leaving them on for days to weeks let alone doing this to a child. The obsession with wigs has gone too damn far.

  • @TyroneBackyardiagains
    @TyroneBackyardiagains Месяц назад +84

not only is she putting quick weave in her daughters hair, but she is putting it on and off all wrong. It's giving relaxer era. Like where not only does the mother want to straighten your hair, but she does it so terribly that you have to cut all your hair off (speaking from experience).
Like what happened to all the cute black girl hairstyles that were pretty easy to do. All you had to do was braid, twist or cornrow their hair and then you're done.

Iam 21 but if I have a daughter one day she won’t be wearing any type of extensions while she’s growing up. That includes braiding hair. Black mothers definitely neglect their daughters hair and later they become dependent on weave. I don’t want that for my child. Unlike me should have a chance from the beginning. And I also don’t believe lace fronts should be worn by minors. Not just does it look bad it also makes them look much older which isn’t appropriate.

Sheeeeew … we’ve got grown adults out here talking about wearing their lace fronts for days, over a week even, and then complaining about infections and breakouts from allergic reactions forming (which is very serious, constant repeated exposure and use of this stuff CAN AND WILL form an allergic reaction) on top of creating hair loss around the edges with constant tugging and pulling. Factor in the amount of scalp issues it can cause … now think about how all of that is being done to a baby that isn’t even old enough to say “mom, this hurts, I don’t want this”
… but something tells me even if they could speak, they’d be ignored and made to do it anyways. 😢
My heart breaks to see children exposed to this stuff so early. When you’re an older teen? Whatever. You’re old enough to start making your own choices, but 12 year olds? 10? 7? A mere toddler? Nuh-uh … no way, and this is the type of stuff I’ve seen moms of all backgrounds/ethnicities do when it comes to their kids. Stuff that makes you go “aw man wtf” because parents don’t realize how much this stuff negatively affects the way a CHILD sees themselves.
Grew up with a girl that was my best friend since preschool whose mom had at-home ACID PERMS put through her hair at 4 years old until 10 back in the 90s for beauty pageants with so much makeup that she was wearing it to school by the time she was 9 (and her mom did all of that, too … because I remember staying all night and her asking if I wanted my makeup done before school one time, and I knew to immediately decline as my mom would have had a fit)
I don’t think it was of any surprise that when she was a teenager she had so many issues with her hair being so thinned and damaged, had major confidence issues, and when she started doing her own hair and makeup, her mom would make comments about her she is “doing it all wrong” and how it “doesn’t look right on her” or she’d argue with her about how she couldn’t believe she was walking out the door looking “that ugly” even commenting on her outfits …. so much so, it started to come across to me as a mom being extremely jealous of her own daughter she had no control over anymore.
I wish parents would just stop with all of this. Looking at all these kids in this video just makes me sad because they’re going to grow up hating their natural hair as they’ve been conditioned to think it’s not good enough or presentable unless they have something done. I see all those tightly coiled 4c curls and it makes me melt because they’re so beautiful … all to be hidden away. 😕 I don’t understand this push to make the children look way too grown. Moms, you may enjoy it, but don’t do it to the kids until they’re old enough to decide for themselves (and respect what they do decide). It just seems a lot like parents living vicariously through their children or something.

That’s horrible. I would never put a wig or weave on a child under the age of 13-14. It’s not appropriate at all.

The reason the baby doesn’t have hair now is because her own mother hates it. This is sad! The amount of money spent on the wig and service could’ve went on hair care products and a routine!

My goodness, I never even thought about putting a wig on my baby or extensions. She wanted her hair straightened. I told her not until she was at least five. I didn’t want to do it then, but she kept begging. So I let her have a pearl at 5. I love natural hair.

This is extreme! If a teenager wants to wear some kind of enhancement to a formal dance, that's one thing. That could be a matter of fashion. In the 60's, women of all races wore pieces, falls, wigs, etc. to create elaborate hairdo's for special occasions. It wasn't a political issue. Nor should it be. But, with young children, just encourage them to love themselves as they are naturally.

Putting these wigs on babies is such a hinderance to their lifestyle. In addition to not loving their hair. Im sure their parents dont allow them to do xyz bc they going to mess up their hair or the kids have to go out with things they actually need bc momma done spent the money on hair. Let kids be kids

I don't care how hateful or ignorant I sound because that is child abuse period. Some people should not have kids at all and you have a camera in the childsface
I wish I knew where they lived so I could call CPS
I know the babies scalp is hot and all they have to do is massage her scalp and put natural ingredients in her hair
Baby was probably hungry and tired
Now if she plays and messes her hair up they will punish her for being a child

This makes me so grateful that my mom gave me natural styles till she couldn't anymore. I grew up with twists and cornrows until a certain point where my hair was so long and thick that touching it for a second would make her hands sore (/hj) so she had to get me a stylist and taught me how to take care of it (basic 4c haircare: washing, drying, simple styles, etc..) and I got my first weave at 12 just to give it a try (crochet twists). Every now and then I'd get my hair done in mostly box braids down to my back like my natural hair is just to enhance, protect, and grow my hair for about a month and repeat the process until I was on the brink of turning 18 and got locs.
I remember wanting my hair to be a different texture as a kid because my other kids kept touching it or commenting on it like "what happened to your hair" or some stuff like that. I wanted my hair to be straight or less coarse like the other kids in my class (I grew up in a predominantly white and isolated classroom setting) and even started listening to affirmations to manifest a different texture (I don't remember which specific texture I wanted but it was somewhere in the c# category) just as I was slowly starting to love my own hair, but needed better management. Eventually my mom got me excited about locs and I started manifesting their formation and health before I even got them.
This video bothered me so much, like literal preschoolers (exaggerating to my knowledge) are already getting weaves below the spine these days and to see A BABY BEAN, not even going to school, doesn't even have all her teeth yet, still drinking out of a bottle or in the process of being weaned off it.. GETTING A WEAVE!! I just don't understand the logic of these types of mothers like who's this even for, other than said mothers aesthetic and MAYBE a small photoshoot? What do you gain out of this other than personal satisfaction and a lighter wallet? Nothing!

I find it funny how AAALLL of these (if it doesn’t apply to you then I’m not talking about you) women claim that wigs and weave are also just a natural part of hair and fashion among Black women and that it doesn’t matter if you wear your natural hair or extensions/wigs. THIS is a prime example of there being something wrong with the hair industry. NATURAL HAIR is just that natural. It’s appropriate for ALL ages and no one has to worry about chemicals or whatever else is associated with these wigs potentially “damaging” something.
There’s truly something wrong with the hair industry in the Black community and yall just want to ignore it and become verbally combative when people point it out. It needs to go. Embrace your own hair. Set new examples for beauty standards that’s acceptable for ALL ages.
