Your Must Needed Tier List for a Perfect Nighttime Protective Style
I loved this video BUT to the comments: yall cant educate without being judgemental? More interested in clocking and calling out people than actually doing ANYTHING helpful. Yall sound like church folk, this is what makes the natural hair community so toxic. If u wanna help then help, but stop looking down on black woman who have a hard time with their hair just cz u figured it out. Stop acting like its not daunting to learn something new especially in a world overloaded with true and false information. Stop acting like its easy in THE WORLD WE LIVE IN NOW WITH TRAUMA WE HAVE HAD TO DEAL WITH!! Please look at the whole picture, its history to where we are and yall have no patience with the process.. Look at how far we already have come like pleaseee we barely made it out of relaxer land n yall expect everyone to forget everything they mommma taught them and “be natural!” and “figure it out its not that hard your lazy!!” and “stop hating yourself and just wear your natural hair!!” like wtf does that do. If you arent gonna help ya sistas with out looking down on wig wearer’s then u might as well keep your “help”. As a former wig wearer it took a long break from natural hair youtube and people like yall in these comments to build up the courage to start learning how to care for my hair. I had to stop feeling guilty for being intimidated by my natural hair which YALL DONT HELP WITH AT ALL. Stop acting self righteous cz you healed your black woman hair trauma or even worse, never experienced it to begin with. Ts is hella lame. Im so disappointed with the top comment on this video, we need to be nicer to one another as black woman im sick of it
Facts
I mean...its free real estate, what they gonna do with it 😅
Made me kinda sad 😢
Reasons to grow out long healthy natural hair: Unfortunately, it is rare. Mainly referring to the LONG part. Most black women or people in general don’t see exceptionally long, full, healthy 4 type kinks and curls. So seeing long 4a, 4b, and 4c hair is considered like a genetic miracle because that’s how uncommon it is. You see long blonde, brunette, wavy, loose curly hair everyday if you walk down the street. But long 4 type hair? No. It’s a reason to stare in amazement 2. Black hair is exotic. Nobody else has it. And we’re hiding it behind a stale wig?? With overdone flacky edges. Going out with long healthy natural hair is exotic. Like how Albanism is or different colored eyes, it grabs attention off everyone else instantly. 3. May be a sign of status. People know natural hair takes extra time and care to flourish and grow. You can’t wash it everyday, blow dry and walk out the door. Not every black girl can afford to grow it out because many just don’t know how and it takes consistency . You MUST have some Asian or middle eastern DNA, secret ancient oil or have spent hours upon hours of research, decades of growth and meticulous planning to grow out. If you talk about your hair, people will cling to your every word because it must be law since you’re such a rarity. 4 . and don’t downplay this point. But the weaves / wigs look bad…I’m sorry. Even if it doesn’t look bad, we know it’s fake. And the fakeness of a 30 inch silky black human hair wig on a nurse or cashier outweighs the actual beauty of the hair. The reason nobody gets on other women about fake hair is because it looks very real. Like they grew it themselves. But we know you have a wig cap and braids sitting under the wig so it’s not an authentic expression of good health. In addition everyone knows you probably spent $300 on the wig, can’t move of touch it because it might get ruined and you constantly have to change it out every week or two. While the girls with hair like that are thinking they’re better than you. Because they get to wear it for free, can touch it up, wash it, don’t have to glue it down and theirs has an unlimited shelf life. They know black women would pay THOUSANDS to naturally have hair like regular old Becky. Which is sad. Something’s got to give
I have been saying for YEARSSSSSS dead ppl hair, or other peoples hair in your head is nasty as hell!!! I do synthetic ONLY! And will always do synthethic!
If you wear “human hair” or “virgin hair” you must be ok with wearing a dead persons hair- because that person could very well be gone. Including the person of the hair she has on her head.
And some of them flip the non textured fake hair like it grew from their scalp. They can flip textured wigs/weaves, too.
It's sad when you prefer something that is not naturally yours.
Lol 😂 spooky oh my!
The second I realized how unnatural wigs/weave are on us, I never look at them the same!! I always end up wearing my natural hair. It’s been years and I’m so happy about it ❤ I stand out, I get attention when I go out, quality men approach me. It’s so much better the second I started taking care of my hair, skin, body/weight & dressing for my body type, smelling good/layering scents, growing out my nails, being overall well manicured, polished & feminine. It takes a lot of work being a put together woman & those that do, truly benefit from it! Hair is the start ❤
Give my your beuty routine 🙏 pleeaase
Yep! And the more y’all wear weaves the more shocked people are to see our natural hair!! Enough!! The ⚪️people at these jobs ain’t worried about our hair like that! Enough with the excuses!! Normalize the Naps!!
💯💯💯
This was a cute video, I learned something
This is true and also why it is so important for black girls to see natural hair in media and in their family members. Children are especially impressionable. Black girls aren't told word for word, "feel insecure about your appearance and race." But it develops in part due to seeing their mothers, aunts, sisters, etc go through painstaking "beauty" processes every month to cover up their natural features.
💯
Awesome video
Lovely video Sis! Great editing by the way.
I feel bad for people who hate themselves cuz that must suck fr 😬 I love my hair can’t imagine feeling ugly because of it
Subscribed. Love the content you put out
The energy of struggle heartache and maybe d*ath is imbedded in every strand and then another person from the other side of the world wears it like a badge of honor
💥. The truth is amazing!
Love this sis lol I’m the natural and love it! 😂 and got locs and wear a lot of neutral colors so that makes it funnier 😂 thank you for this video as a reminder we’re all lovely 😜
That’s why I don’t think they take all of the hair they sell from the living. Why bury or burn a body with something that is easy to remove and that goes for hundreds, maybe even thousands on the black market? Y’all really need to think about it. Also, they know it’s mostly bw buying it and they are anti-black. So there’s no incentive to regulate and ensure the hair is ethically sourced.
So scary 😮
Wearing someone else’s hair on your head just because you cannot stand your own hair is the definition of hair dysmorphia.
YESS ❤PLEASE don’t stop preaching about this! 🔥🔥🔥
Guys watch the full video linked to this video
GENIUS!
That's why some people get allergic reactions from these weaves.
Y’all better not be taking my hair when I’m dead- idc if it’s gonna disappear or whatever eventually
Wait I thought you encouraged getting afro-textured wigs instead. But they come from the same place.
Synthetic good quality ones
That is why I use synthetic hair that feels and looks just like human hair .
Wigs and weaves are a no for me so....
Damn this makes me question my morals and ethics
Are there wigs made from horsehair? That would be a much more ethical alternative.
That is true, no wonder the girlies with bundles be mean asf
A lot of hair is donated, cut down to religious ritual
@@user-nl3sf3ro2t watch the attached video!!
Countless men and women have complimented my hair. One thing I will say are the older men practically fall at my feet because they haven’t seen a “Sista” in a long time. One guy told me I took him back to when he was younger and that he wish his son wasn’t married already or he would’ve given me his number 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Chris Rock documentary Good Hair showed where I believe in India they shave their head for religious purposes and they profit off these women’s hair.
I posted a video thats attached to this short(feel free to watch it) A lot of the ways they get hair is super unethical thanks for commenting
I don’t want someone else’s energy in my head. I’ll stick with synthetic or none at all.
Yassssss!
It’s Indian tradition to cut their hair at the temples. They’re not poor people or dead.
not every wig or bundle is made out of indian hair, also not all indian ppl do that same thing.
But do you really think these women are buying bundles from these temples when they go on these Chinese hair websites and purchase lace units and etc !! No lol most of the time the hair isn’t great quality unless you paying $600 for it and most women ain’t paying that 😂 however, this doesn’t mean your comment isn’t true.
Check out my documentary
The obsession with wigs and weaves is weird to me. So many BW are damaging their hair unnecessarily.
Yeah, most cultures and religions believe that your hair is your 👑. No woman would willingly cut her 20+ inch hair to rhe scalp unless she's in crisis and need. I would feel disgusting knowing Im wearing someone else's crown 👑. That's just sad. Imagine how much these women even get for years of patience and love. 😢 Some people prefer to live in oblivion because it makes their dreams easier to live, and their immoral acts easier to swallow. Gluttony is a sin and it ain't just about food, friends.
Watch the documentary good hair by Chris rock that’ll tell you everything
@@donttrymetryjesus4566 also watch the attached video first!!!
@@Tatianaclicks and did now what
Did you know .....that technically and legally .... human hair is considered a body part ...really think about this .....before you get it glued or sown on your head .🤔
I think it is disgusting to wear other people's hair whether dead or alive.
I mean it's not as if your phone has minerals in it mined by children, components assembled by factory workers in countries where they make pennies an hour while being exposed to carcinogen and endocrine disruptors. Just heads up most hair used in extensions comes from India where it's cut off as part of a temple offering.
Watch the video attached its much deeper
That’s true women w opportunities do not sell their hair. Think about it. Have you ever grew out your hair then sold it? That’s a woman in crisis. Facts
