wore mini twists to the bar the other night. didn't add any hair cause i'm broke. felt like they looked ok but a little bit blah. but i got more attention than i ever have and people said it looked really cool. not saying getting attention in a bar is a major acheivement, but i think as black women we forget how eye catching we are
Omg I'm currently wearing twists with my own hair (too broke for braids) and they come down to like my mouth length and omg, I feel so freaking pretty! It's amazing to find a protective style I can do on my own hair. I'm a teacher and these twists gave Ms the break I needed to focus on report card conferences and survive this crazy busy time in my life and still look cute. As soon as spring break hits, im taking then out and gonna rock the twist out. But seriously, these twists last me two weeks at a time and my god it's a life saver! And minitwists are soon flattering on black women, even when their short! ❤️
This part!!! When I wear twists or my natural hair texture (or what looks natural), I literally got complimented insanely. I never get that much attention with straight hair.
I have gotten more compliments from all different types of people while wearing mini twists than any other hairstyle. Even little boys have come up to me to tell me that they love my hair.
I don’t know why, but natural hair looks so feminine to me. Natural hair looks like flowers, trees, and every other beautiful thing in this world. All black women looks amazing in it. I think some of us get frustrated with our texture due to shrinkage and a lot of women associate longer hair with beauty. Just subbed ❤
I went to a black tech networking event and all these bw were like “oh we’re rocking the natural today! It looks nice!” I was like this is my life. I wear my twist out everyday. It was like they couldn’t imagine that this was an everyday thing and I wasn’t “in between hairstyles!”
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 yo the in between hair styles is HILARIOUS AND TRUE!!! I bet they wanted to ask when your next hair appt was lol or awww that’s cool your hair looks like that when you just took down your wig braids😂
@@Cookiedesigns254 Everyone atp has also admitted that you definitely DO see the grids lol. There is no undetectable lace, people just take good pics and use good filters. Wearing your hair is the bigger flex even though people try to slander it for being "broke behavior"
Something I've learned as a black woman with a lot of non-black friends is that distinguishing yourself from non-black women rather than imitating them is the key. People have a dual disdain and fascination with blackness; the questions and comments I get from the people around me (most of them either Middle Eastern or South Asian; two cultures with very strong colorist and racial biases) are intriguing. They respect you more when you appreciate their cultures but still stand strongly in your own. Thank you for video! You made some great points and you are beautiful woman :)
NEVER had yt girl friends but all my friends were Asians. I low key picked up that because we are SO different in appearance from other groups we will always stand out the most. The same thing we are hated for and some of us have internalized shame and hatred about is exactly what we need to capitalize on to win 😂❤ flex about it and love yourself. No one can replicate what we have Edit: and sometimes the hate we get for it is based off of envy from other women because men in their race are interested and attracted to what they themselves cannot replicate. I was bullied for that reason.
@@juli_xox it’s sad we even have to say “feels being a natural” because honestly it’s about our whole authentic existence. We can’t even exist without people bothering us or asking weird questions like we haven’t existed on earth as long as they have
Straight wigs actually age black women's features; I have never thought they suited us. I have noticed this for the longest now and I thought I was the only one! Great and HONEST video, sis! ❤️☺️
Silky weave looks awful and I’m tired of pretending it’s not. Silky straight lace fronts in general also just look blegh in real life lol. Just my opinion
i agree when it comes to silky straight wigs. yaki and kinky straight wigs look great though! however, i still believe non-straight hair is best overall. 🤷🏽♀️
Yes I’m in my early 20s, whenever I wear my natural hair people assume I’m younger but w my kinky straight lace front I’m assumed to be late 20s/early 30s
I've always felt prettier with my natural hair...I straightened my hair 2 months ago and didn't feel as pretty. I can't imagine wearing a straight wig or weave. The flat straight look just doesn't go well with black features in my opinion. I feel I look the best with my curly hair or a fro or any afrocentric hairstyles. God knew what He was doing when He gave us this beautiful wooly hair frfr.
I have super fine low porosity and low density hair. I don't have that much hair but its long. Can't wear many styles as my hair is really fragile. That's that's why I choose wig. No my iron isn't low. My dad has really fine fine. My mom has alot of hair. But I took after my father's side.
@@NovaDollI think whatever a woman decides to do with her hair makes her pretty and feminine. I feel as long as the person is happy then that’s all that matters and they don’t have to explain to others about their hair b/c they are happy & they don’t seek validation from others. I wish women weren’t so divided, but people really have to have a strong mindset to overcome the division, judging & bad energy and just do what we enjoy.
Same, now I couldn’t imagine wearing someone else’s hair! Hair holds way to much energy for you to go around wearing someone else’s! People will make every excuse to continue wearing someone else’s hair. It’s looks foolish and unflattering. Learn to work with what you got!
@@NeeTrueNope. When a majority of BW prefer wearing hair textured different than what grows out of their heads IT IS A PROBLEM that must be addressed. Are other women wearing 4C hair wigs?
Girl same!! Typing rn with flat ironed hair my mom pestered me to get done for a dance. I was about to go in my Afro but let her have her way bc I wouldn’t have much time to wash it due to being busy. I looked at my straightened hair this time (which was cut short and wrong on the left side 😢by the hairdresser for a photo shoot) and hated it. I have to have it done with a curled look for volume. It has to be full looking for me to be okay with straight hair.
This is so crazy because i went to church yesterday and before we left i looked at myself in the mirror (i had my afro in a puff) and i looked like an angel🫠 I blushed so hard as i thought "the girls were right natural hair gonna eat everytime"
The real thing is actually her exuding everything she talked about in the video, and with gorgeous hair. Our community needs more channels like this one, keep doing what you do!
My hair gets so much attention. I feel so basic with a silk press. I used to wear weave 98 percent of the time 3 years ago. Now? I wear my natural hair 98 percent of the time. I feel so beautiful and unique.
I’m so thankful there are black girl naturals in my school who unapologetically wear their beautiful natural hair!!! I feel like in 2023 something massively shifted for younger black women and we are more inspired than ever to embrace ourselves and our crowns 😊
On me it does like I bought one and put it on it was real hair but for some reason it didn’t look right one me but if I straightened my own hair it looks fine. At that point I was like clearly it don’t look natural because it’s not 😂.
The other day I was walking to the store and I passed an Applebee's. I glanced in the window and saw the most gorgeous woman rocking her medium short natural hair, curls and all. Her whole aura was just enchanting and that smile! We made eye contact and I blushed so hard. There's just a different kind of alluring beauty that comes when a woman is fully embracing herself. My god, natural hair is so sexy. As a bisexuality gal, I want all to know natural hair girlies make me weak in the knees. ❤️
I think it’s possible for blk women to look good with any hair type but bone straight hair (not even an ironed curl) definitely doesn’t do much for us. Just part of conforming to the corporate world or trying to shrink into the crowd of non-blk ppl. Our beauty is more grand when we are in our own state
This channel is literally doing the work of God. I wish I had this channel when I was younger. It’s just soo wholesome just what a young girl needs to feel confident in her hair 🤍
Love this video! Also wearing your natural hair/ texture it makes you stand out more because most ppl are chasing the same aesthetic (straight wigs w/ exaggerated baby hair)
@@zora99nyomg say it again I jsut can’t. It’s like they want the wig to “look natural” yet wearing these adult hairs pulled from the wig that don’t look natural. 2+2 don’t equal 4 right there.
I wish I could like this video a million times, it’s so true. Once you realize the power and essence natural hair holds, your relationship with your hair and self image transforms. I saw this for myself when I went to the czech republic a couple days ago. I never travel internationally with my natural hair, it’s always braided or in a weave. The constant stares and compliments I received for rocking my natural hair made me realize my hair commands attention and admiration. It makes me stand out even more. It is our unmistakable POWER and tells the world you are unafraid to be your natural gorgeous self. I hope every black woman who reads this experiences this realization.
Exactly! When you go to a PWI school you find this out. Sometimes ppl hate what they could NEVER replicate. Even a perm can’t make the authentic look of an Afro
I whole heartedly agree 100% with everything you said in this video! People always say “black people aren’t a monolith” and that’s true, but I WISH we were a monolith when it came to the appreciation and pedestalization of kinky, coily, Afro textured, type 4 hair!
I’ve been saying this to my little sister. Why try to emulate a standard that is built on you loosing when you can BE the standard itself? Natural hair is the epitome of femininity. It suits us the most (hence we were born with it) and it’s the only hairstyle that TRULY will give us that pretty privilege and reverse aging (looking old). Wear weave if you want, I love weave/crochet braids to protect my hair but I will wear it textured every time.
I LOVE a good wig, love em. Loved switching from a bob to 28 inch loose waves to bangs and back, adored them. But some months ago one of my favorite (white) influencers posted a picture where she just looked so pretty and radiant and EFFORTLESS. And oddly enough that's what has made me stop wearing wigs over these last 6 months or so.. I didn't look at her and think "I want this look". I saw her and thought "I want to be effortless". I've had natural hair for 5 years now and have always ~liked~ my natural hair but now I'm in a place where I LOVE it and honestly don't want to wear anything else. NOTHING else looks better
This was amazing and so true. I was so tired of the wigs, weaves, and damaging my natural hair. I could not retain length or keep my natural hair healthy. I gifted myself & recently got Sisterlocks. I love it here, I feel the most confident , my femininity magically appeared, and my hair has become everyone’s obsession when I’m out, including mine. I feel power in my hair, regal, like a goddess , if that makes sense.
I used to consider kinky straight hair “my thing” switched to a type 4 texture v part wig and I’ve been in love for like over a year now. So crazy. I just feel like I look more like myself
Did you wear kinky straight with kinky edges? I only ask because I hated kinky straight w/o it but the edges frame you face in a way that is really pretty
I've never had a hard time finding suitors wearing my natural hair. I'm in love with my coils. Do what you want to your hair, but know that your natural hair is beautiful.
YESSSSS PLEASE LISTEN TO HER!!!! i went out this past weekend and when I tell you the men were on me like white on rice because I was the only one with my natural hair. I’ve been working on it so it’s longer & healthy. Mind you, it was a mixed bag of people, more white women than anything and they all stopped to talk to me, buy me drinks etc! 😊
I have been natural my entire life. Had locs in my late teens /early twenties, cut them when I was 23. The most feminine I ever felt was with short natural hair (baldie) and later with a tapered mini fro. I genuinely feel like my curly hair is feminine in the way it’s soft and fluffy and resembles a crown. I love how it’s lively and vibrant instead of flat. I don’t know why the majority of femininity content creators encourage women to wear wigs to attract men. Being in your feminine is a internal thing, if you don’t feel attractive in your natural state, you are preforming for external validation which is inherently masculine.
They think that Black women are only interested in Black men, who often hate natural hair. That’s why these influencers push weaves and wigs. Unlike Black men, non-Black men love natural.
My parents are both East African. Kenyan specifically . When my mom was a young woman she loved her hair short and natural . She said she kept it straight bc my dad preferred women with straight hair. Black women do it to please what blk men like. That’s the truth!! But most won’t admit it. Although they pander and say “we went you ladies natural” they only mean type 3 hair.
Thank you for this video. I have a date coming up and I might cancel my silk press appointment because I seem to have forgotten our hair is for special occasions too! Thx for reminding me! 💚
I’m eager to know… how did you end up wearing your hair for that date? Did you silk press it or rock it natural? I don’t think there’s anything wrong with getting a silk press sometimes, but I’d definitely rather meet a guy for the first time with my natural hair. You need to see what you’re gonna be getting 99% of the time 😂
My girl when I say this is the TRUTH! Omg girl YEEESSSS! This is so true! A couple of days ago, I was on my way home and I had my natural hair in an Afro but later tied it up because it was so windy that day. On the bus home, the bus was really full so I was forced to stand. With that being said, this really nice man (dark skin, Jamaican guy) invited me to sit next to him. The whole bus ride home he was telling me how much he loved my natural hair and called me so beautiful. He said things like “seeing a woman like you with long thick natural hair in a world where everyone doesn’t wear their real hair is a breathe of fresh air” and such. He was a really sweet nice guy and I appreciate him so much! He reminded me of my ex situstionship guy who also praised my natural hair a lot haha. Natural hair is beautiful! I love my natural hair and I love how it makes me that girl in the room to look at (figuratively speaking of course lol) Wearing my big fro causes everyone to stop and look at me - I’ll be forever proud and honored to have beautiful thick healthy long 4c natural hair! I always say in a room filled of lace fronts, be the fro🤗
I jsut had the same experience on the bus coming home from work I believe the man was of African and my hair was just flat twisted in 2 and he said it was really nice. I’m in Toronto and it was refreshing to hear as all the black guys with white gyal and wouldn’t even look at a black girl let alone with natural hair.
@@christines1821 omg girl I’m in Toronto too! Love that for us! I’m really happy to hear that you’ve also got a good experience of being complimented on your beautiful natural hair! I ruined my engagement pictures wearing a straight wig. I always get compliments when i wear my hair out. Thanks for motivating me to keep going with my hair.
5 seconds in and l subscribed. Black women all over the world need you darling. Afro hair is a regal crown. Do talk about fake lashes, fake nails, the outrageous make up and the fake nose bridge drawn with foundation.
I really love your content ❤❤ it’s different from a typical natural hair page. You inspire people to accept their natural hair beauty while also showcasing your natural hair’s beauty. We need more channels like your that are uplifting natural hair so the younger generation learns to love their hair for what is ❤❤❤ Thank you
This was such a thoughtful way of expressing that the beauty of our hair is it's uniqueness. When we try and wear it straight...with fake textures that aren't our own...we cancel that. I totally agree. Great message and video.
The first time in my life, I could go out without feeling self conscious about my hair when my natural hair became healthy and I mastered my twist out. I was also self conscious with my relaxer... of my puffy roots, stringy ends, hair looking clumped and greasy after a few days. I do admit when my natural hair was very short and at times when it was dry and unhealthy, I did not enjoy wearing it. It really takes time and patience and sometimes starting over a few times to understand our hair.
Years ago on Pinterest I saw these archival photos of natural hair Black women who lived during the Victorian era. They had lovely updo hairstyles I’m different variations (no twist outs yet-lol). Paired with their exquisite Victorian dresses, they looked feminine and regal.
Omg, where were you when I was 13 trying to figure out who I am and what beauty and femininity actually meant? Thank you for creating this video-definitely sharing this with my 13 year old daughter. We have textured hair and we are going through the lock process now… you are God sent. Keep the encouragement videos coming😀 you are appreciated.
I have been wearing my natural hair for a year now without any added hair and I definitely have never felt more beautiful! I don’t want to ever go back to wearing extensions. I have been wearing and loving and growing my natural hair and it is amazing
Ughhh I been said this in my video!! Black women look the best with their natural hair . Amazing video! We are exotic. We need to embrace our differences
This is so true, I started to wear my natural hair or black women hairstyle with our texture and I not only feel more feminine but I also attract more attention. I stopped buying weaves that are not close to my natural hair
Thanks for sharing! I stopped relaxing my hair back in 2004 & people called me crazy..lol. Didn’t stop me though…20 years natural and I love it! Afros are my favorite! Be confident ladies!
I started wearing my hair natural at the beginning of February. It was a little uncomfortable at first but now I can’t believe I ever wanted to hide it. Great video no lies told. ❤❤❤
You are so on point! I haven't straightened my hair in almost 6 years and I get so many compliments from men and women about my hair and overall beauty. I'm not going back!!
I am so happy i came across this video. Thank you for putting what i feel in words. I started wearing my natural hair and i am so much happier. Also, I braided my hair and when i looked closer as the braid was unraveling it looked like DNA
I would like to add, this also applies to the girlies that wear afro textured extensions, braids and twists. I know it can be hard if your hair is thin and brittle. As long as the hair mimics afro textured hair, you're still leaning into our own unique beauty.
How I wish black women understood that by wearing other’s hair texture only make women with that texture naturally, seem more desirable. Men/women want the REAL thing. What we have is sooo unique it works in our favor. Light makeup (think 90s - early 2000s), working out, & natural hair will do you wonders. Weave is okay as long as it’s braids or hair that match your natural texture. The 90s - early 2000s was an elite beauty era for black women for a reason! Natural hair, arched brows, foundation, lip liner, & gloss. Get that body right & leave dusties alone!
SOOO true!! I have 4b/4c hair and the COMPLIMENTS I've always received from our people and everybody else has always been through the roof.. short or long lol fortunately I was always taught our hair was the most beautiful and unique AND strong.. it's true lol
I saw a chart of energetic vibrations and low vibrations is like a straight line high vibrational energy is very tight curves and it immediately reminded me of 4C hair. I think there's a correlation there, Grade 4 hair has the highest amount of life force energy that's why it is that texture.
Great video sis! I’m currently on a new journey with my natural hair. The plan is to wear it out 100% of the time this year. I’ve been natural since 2010 and I am still STRUGGLING with my hair 😩😭
@@Tatianaclicks The biggest problem is my struggle to accept my natural hair at every length and stage. I big chopped and now its growing back and I don't feel the prettiest with short hair. I'm a work in progress.
I can understand your feeling, Im sure your hair looks beautiful short, but if you want longer hair thats totally understandable. For now maybe try mini braids with your natural hair. That should help it grow pronto!!!@@healwithmare
@@healwithmarei just big chopped 6 months ago and i 100% get where you’re at!! though i can reccomend protective styling honestly what helped me was time, ik that always sucks to hear but just give it a couple weeks or months of just wearing it out, the love it comes to you
I also noticed after I recently got my hair straightened for time/styling purposes and letting my mom get her way, I didn’t get much of a reaction from those who are most reactive to my hair styles at school. But when I wear my natural hair I definitely get more attention on my hair
I think the caveat is that this works if your natural hair is also naturally thick/full. Some of us got just naturally low density hair so it doesn’t look as nice out without some clip ins or something lolol. I do agree with the video though about natural hair texture being the most flattering, so all my wigs are still either blow out textured or have a natural curl…..essentially, hair people always assume is mine LOLOL. Silky straight isn’t flattering to me.
I know this is meant for black girls, but it's helping me with my mixed texture hair. I have both tight curls and waves and after trying so much to get it curlier, I'm learning to love it as it is and treat it properly instead of wanting it to be different
It’s Monday, I am on my way to work, rocking my fro. I am besides myself - super excited. Feeling beautiful, you can’t tell me nothing ❤❤ Ladies, thanks for the encouragement.
I needed this so much! I was natural for the last 10 years. Cut my hair off while going through some personal changes and took a huge confidence blow with that chop. I loved my hair, everyone else did too, but as much as I expected the regrowth journey to be smooth and easy for a natural hair vet like myself. I realized that so much of my confidence and self esteem was wrapped up in how long my hair had gotten and how easily I could manipulate it to appear ambiguous. With the cut, not only was my hair short, but it grew thicker, coarser HEALTHIER essentially. And I struggled to accept this new version of natural hair. I won’t pretend that I’m not still struggling, because I am, especially in this Instagram/wig era. But I’m making a conscience effort to work through it so thank you for this video. These are the life speaking words we need to hear
Some tips that helped me love my natural texture. Do not be too harsh on yourself, start with where you are and slowly work to your foal. If every woman around you has bone stright hair and you've always worn straight styles, next time you do your hair try a slightly kinkier style, then something with maybe a loose curl, then more textured, and one step closer and closer until you reach your natural texture.
Instantly loved this video. I say the SAME thing why do so many black women chase the 40" Brazilian body Wave or straight hair sooo much. it bothers me so much like it looks bad and noting like OUR hair. if I wear extensions its type 4 only. I dont desire to look Brazilian, Indian, Peruvian or any other race but my own. Not important but men also have gone out of their way to compliment my natural face and hair constantly. its well received and im not changing my God given beauty for anyones standards. Lol missed me wit dat one !!!
Deeply appreciate your perspective. It's healing and helping me a lot while I'm in the process of re-growing my natural hair from having a short relaxed pixie. Thank you so much!
that's soo true ,two weeks ago I wore a wash n go for the first time , I was soo anxious about leaving my type for hair outside . But the entire week , whenever I went out , the amount of compliments I received was soo heart warming , I haven't felt that confident for a while . It literally boost my confidence
Thank you for this video. You exude the exact confidence and femininity that you speak about. Gorgeous woman with beautiful hair. Keep doing what you’re doing, you’re very inspiring ❤️✨
Loved this! Not only do we look most feminine in our natural hair, it keeps us looking young no matter how long God blesses us to be on this earth just like our melanine does. It could be just me, but I feel that non-textured wigs/extensions tend to age us, as well. One of the most beautiful things to me is a head full of white/silver natural hair whether it be loose, in locs, etc. against our age resistant melanin. I always admired how regal it looks. Any hew, excellent content and I'm a new subbie!
To the ladies doing this with traction alopecia from a lifetime of wigs and/or awkward lengths, I salute you. These are the issues that prevent me from rocking my natural 😞 please help!
it’s funny, i actually stopped wearing lace fronts about two years ago. since then, i’ve only worn afrocentric hairstyles; my go-tp being either my natural fro or a synthetic afro wig. i feel more beautiful than ever.
Ugh, such a great video! You said what I've been saying for years and now instead of me always "preaching" to my friends, I can just send them this video lol. Thx

This is exactly true!!!
“Disdain and fascination” perfectly describes how it feels being a natural in society
facts
NEVER had yt girl friends but all my friends were Asians. I low key picked up that because we are SO different in appearance from other groups we will always stand out the most. The same thing we are hated for and some of us have internalized shame and hatred about is exactly what we need to capitalize on to win 😂❤ flex about it and love yourself. No one can replicate what we have
Edit: and sometimes the hate we get for it is based off of envy from other women because men in their race are interested and attracted to what they themselves cannot replicate.
Way better if it’s straightening your natural hair and if you want adding extensions but the lace…has become obvious 😂
Yes ! When I have my natural hair out I am asked for ID when purchasing alcohol but with a wig on I’m never asked for proof of age.
Yeeeeesss!!! "Brainwashed out of our on beauty, chasing someone else's beauty" preach!!!
Yes!! Brainwashed out of it because they realized a long ago that our beauty was unmatched and divine
@@trinitig1115 unmatched! ❤
Nothing beats black hair
amen🙏🏼

Afro textured hair is the correct term
It is truly beautiful! No lies told. How unique the Most High has created black ppl.
The real thing is actually her exuding everything she talked about in the video, and with gorgeous hair. Our community needs more channels like this one, keep doing what you do!
A black woman that washes her hair everyday:
ruclips.net/video/1V90g-yIHLk/видео.htmlsi=bVVbfKLkgnZL9kHW
Exactly
This video should be used in schools, even in Africa where many girls think only wigs are the best thing for their hair or damage it with relaxers.
I thought I was the only one that thought this! Straight non textured weaves look off on us a lot of the time.
Finally - a mix of classy and natural hair. IDK why its so hard to find out here in the internet but you hit the nail!
The amount of compliments I’ve gotten since getting locs has been so shocking to me; wear your hair ladies!!! It is beautiful!!!
Same ❤
I started wearing wigs in college…before that I was 100% natural. You are right, non textured wigs steal from our beauty!
💯‼️
i was just thinking the same tjing
Everytime I try to wear my hair straight I hate how my face looks. I can’t describe it but my hair frames and compliments my face perfectly.
Love this video! Also wearing your natural hair/ texture it makes you stand out more because most ppl are chasing the same aesthetic (straight wigs w/ exaggerated baby hair)
Exactly!!
That exaggerated baby hair look is awful lol
Heavy on effortless there’s a certain feeling being able to style your hair on the go and not have to bring 4 glues and a band to not look a hot mess
It’s an automatic way to stand out. Those lashes have to go too. They look crazy.
I live by this! Culture vultures can’t replicate this look and they hate it. This is my theory of why these vultures despise of it.
Exactly! When you go to a PWI school you find this out. Sometimes ppl hate what they could NEVER replicate. Even a perm can’t make the authentic look of an Afro
@@tiredoftheworld4834 agreed!
Facts. Notice they hate everything we do/have UNTIL they figure out how to get it themselves.
I whole heartedly agree 100% with everything you said in this video! People always say “black people aren’t a monolith” and that’s true, but I WISH we were a monolith when it came to the appreciation and pedestalization of kinky, coily, Afro textured, type 4 hair!
A word! 🙌
That was just wow 🥺💛
Wow 😢
You're onto something. I look so weird with non textured wigs, doesnt go well with our beautiful black features!!!
This is the elegance and femininity contend we need. Beautifully articulated and a much needed, loving message
Ever since I’ve been wearing my natural hair I’m addicted! Love my natural hair and feels so feminine 🩷
I love your avi! Who is that?
Did you wear kinky straight with kinky edges? I only ask because I hated kinky straight w/o it but the edges frame you face in a way that is really pretty
I've never had a hard time finding suitors wearing my natural hair. I'm in love with my coils. Do what you want to your hair, but know that your natural hair is beautiful.
I wish, but God threw me in the lion's den 😂 one day I'll immigrate
YESSSSS PLEASE LISTEN TO HER!!!! i went out this past weekend and when I tell you the men were on me like white on rice because I was the only one with my natural hair. I’ve been working on it so it’s longer & healthy. Mind you, it was a mixed bag of people, more white women than anything and they all stopped to talk to me, buy me drinks etc! 😊
Yesss. I recently started wearing natural looking wigs and I get alot of compliments.
Being in your feminine is a internal thing, if you don’t feel attractive in your natural state, you are preforming for external validation which is inherently masculine.
that last sentence was raw truth lol! "performing for external validation which is inherently masculine"
They think that Black women are only interested in Black men, who often hate natural hair. That’s why these influencers push weaves and wigs. Unlike Black men, non-Black men love natural.
@@user-mf9yl2pf3v ma’am the only reason the natural hair movement is alive is because black men had to shame you relentlessly to be yourself.

YESSS GIRL! Thats what I like to hear!!
Your natural hair might be what makes a good man even more interested in you. Cancel that silk press
I love my natural hair and I love how it makes me that girl in the room to look at (figuratively speaking of course lol)
Wearing my big fro causes everyone to stop and look at me - I’ll be forever proud and honored to have beautiful thick healthy long 4c natural hair!
I always say in a room filled of lace fronts, be the fro🤗
I jsut had the same experience on the bus coming home from work I believe the man was of African and my hair was just flat twisted in 2 and he said it was really nice. I ruined my engagement pictures wearing a straight wig. I always get compliments when i wear my hair out. Thanks for motivating me to keep going with my hair.
Have some special anniversary pictures with natural hair

We need more channels like your that are uplifting natural hair so the younger generation learns to love their hair for what is ❤❤❤ Thank you
Awwe thank you so much!!
Yesss girl!! Glad you feel this way!!
WOAH I’ve never heard anyone refer to natural hair looking like DNA and now I can’t unsee it 😳
I love this message! This is exactly why I wear my natural hair and teach others! We need to love on our own beauty ❤ Thank you for sharing!
« You are not chasing someone’s else beauty » thanks for the truth . Best Channel ❤
I love how she push natural hair. She has my vote ❤
What problems are you facing with it!
I felt that way too! One thing that helped me was wearing a cute hair wrap, a little make up, and earrings. Always did the trick :)
@@healwithmarei just big chopped 6 months ago and i 100% get where you’re at!! though i can reccomend protective styling honestly what helped me was time, ik that always sucks to hear but just give it a couple weeks or months of just wearing it out, the love it comes to you
you're opening so many eyes with these videos, keep going girl!
Especially with the push of relaxers again, women and girls need to know that we don’t need it.
I also noticed after I recently got my hair straightened for time/styling purposes and letting my mom get her way, I didn’t get much of a reaction from those who are most reactive to my hair styles at school. But when I wear my natural hair I definitely get more attention on my hair
Exactly!!
Such a great video!! Afro natural textures are unique to Black women. We should definitely embrace them more.

You are soooo beautiful, so eleegant, so well spoken and yet so grounded.. you exude everything that you are talking about... ❤
Awe thank you!!
My natural hair definitely gets me more attention now more than it ever did.... I think its just because weaves and wigs are so popular
No sweetie its for you 2!!! My channel targets coily and CURLY hair!! Glad I can help
Every time I wear my natural hair like this (old wash and go) I get complimented.
I'm glad I could help! Thank you for being open with us and I wish you the best of luck with your new natural journey
It literally boost my confidence

ur definitely right because ur so beautiful and feminine 😩 ill follow these tips 100%
I always hated myself but I never, never dared to hate my hair. I just love and I decided to love myself the way I love my hair
