    Aside from running the red light, this was a great drive! I have an HW3 Model 3 with FSD v12.5.4.2, and it’s not that great. There’s a lot of phantom braking at intersections and green lights. But this version with Hardware 4 is smooth as butter! I love it! I can't wait for V13! Looking forward to more videos from you

      So I guess that's no big deal right?

      @@CCa-qe3hk It's FSD Supervised, I was able to takeover at any time and could easilly have stopped for the light if I felt it was unsafe. I chose to let it go since the light had just gone red and it's good to see what the car will do on its own. Is it good that it ran the light, no definitely not. However the car did drive great otherwise and I am certain they'll be able to solve the red light issue. I'd rather be transparent about the problems than try and pretend the software is flawless.

      @@CCa-qe3hkDo you not understand running a red light is a big deal but the rest of the ride was good. Ie, it didn’t run three red lights, a stop sign and run someone over.

      @@Mike-c6f4k You'll understand after driving with FSD for a few hours. It's clearly software that is actively being developed. It does well 99% of the time, you just have to be ready to take over when it occasionally fails. After driving with it for a bit, you can sort of anticipate when its going to struggle. It's never going to randomly throw you into oncoming traffic, but sometimes it'll struggle at intersections or try to cut someone off when changing lanes or go slightly under the speed limit.

    Sometimes it does well but I’ve also had mine run a red light and really struggle to get out of the left lane until the last second. It’s missed a few turns for me because it just doesn’t get out of the left lane in time.

    Thanks for the nice video. It is bad to run a red light. I had a similar experience with 12.5.4.1. On the other hand, for the puddles, I think it might be reasonable to avoid them if they are big enough, because there is no way to know if it is an overflowing open manhole hiding down there.

    I had the same erratic veering while it was making a turn, which headed the vehicle toward the center median. Overall this version is much smoother and confident in so many ways. But with every release there is always some regression. Best the to keep the hands on the wheel until it proves itself. I know that's tough for a youtuber as people will say, how do we know you weren't driving vs fsd.

    • @CanadaFSD
      @CanadaFSD  День назад

      I've put nearly 30,000km on while using FSD and have never had it almost put me into another vehicle/curb/barrier/etc, that's why I am confident enough to keep my hands off the wheel. It does make mistakes, but it's never actively putting me in danger without any notice.

    I haven’t seen anyone else mention this: In 12.5.6.3, the road UI no longer shows blue highlighting in the target lane (not current lane) the car is attempting to change into. Further, it also no longer highlights the closest cars in blue in the target lane it is changing to. These were nice indicators/confirmations of its intentions and awareness. People have posted a lot very positive comments about 12.5.6.3 and I was eager to give a try. Unfortunately for me it's not been great. First there's its inability to slowdown when getting in a lower speed zone. Then it got confused in a construction area that it handled fine with 12.5.4.1. I had a couple of phantom braking, something that I had not experienced in the last several months. Tesla QA has not done a good job with this version. Too many regressions for me.

      I've had nothing but great drives with 6.3, albeit not perfect (red light for example) but overall the majority of issues I had with 12.5.4.x are fixed now, and I love the smoother accelerating.

    They should call it "DS" for Dumbest Summon. I have my EV in the garage and stand at end of my driveway and do smart summon and hold and nothing. Just a bunch of noises after it puts car in reverse but doesn't ever move. It is such pathetically designed software. I've had a Tesla since 2019 and nothing is close still but ASS is total ass in a bad way. FSD is just a gimmick if you want to live vicariously and get tire scrapes as well or randomly be thrust as a driver at 70mph because it couldn't figure out at that speed what to do. These are not ready for prime time at all

    • @CanadaFSD
      @CanadaFSD  20 часов назад

      @@fr9714 they do literally call it dumb summon for the use case that you want, just use the arrow instead of the go to target and it should backup to you. I use summon all the time (as seen in this video) and it works great for me.
      FSD is so far from a gimmick, I find it hilarious that people can watch a video of a car driving itself 99% without any issues and yet still try and discredit FSD. There’s literally no other car on earth that’s capable of what a Tesla with FSD can do.
      I’ve driven 2 hours so far today and had to intervene twice, otherwise the car has done absolutely every thing for me with absolutely no issue.

    • @fr9714
      @fr9714 19 часов назад

      @ you kidding right? I’ve already said I’ve been driving Teslas since 2019. Summon is poorly developed and doesn’t work in many cases. FSD is also there in several other vehicles. It’s all level 3. In fact in my city I’ve seen and have videos of completely autonomous robot taxis. They used to only go small radius but sadly the govt banned them after 1 mistake. Waymo made a comeback here too but now I see drivers in the waymo.
      Tesla fsd causes near misses and situations where you have to suddenly intervene. I mean you wrote that yourself too. It’s not ready.
      Summon is not ready. There’s no EV remotely close to Tesla software prowess overall but there are cos which have self driving to an extent like Tesla. And they’re all crap. Including Tesla. All it takes is once mishap and you’ll be singing a different tune.

    • @CanadaFSD
      @CanadaFSD  16 часов назад

      @ half of the stuff you’re saying is just blatantly wrong, I don’t even know where to start.
      First off Waymo is a fully autonomous ride service, I have no idea what you’re saying about Waymo having drivers sitting upfront. You can go book a Waymo today and you’ll be picked up without any driver present.
      What other vehicles have the capabilities that FSD does? Name one? Besides Waymo (which is good but entirely different) there’s no other company that has a consumer available vehicle that can autonomously drive on basically any road in North America.

    • @fr9714
      @fr9714 16 часов назад

      @ ok you need to stop being opposite just to be right always. If you’re wrong it’s ok, just let go. Waymo is an aiming to be an autonomous ride co but the local laws are causing issues with them. Hence they’re driving waymo cars around my city with drivers in the seat. You’re not here and don’t know so you should not correct without information as it is wrong. And Tesla is at level 3 and GM and couple other cos also have cars that sort of have FSD. Tesla is way better here for sure and more advanced but it is still not quite there. There are still many gotcha scenarios it is not doing well at. It will improve but all I’m saying is it’s not there today. And smart summon is dumb and doesn’t work half the time.
