The Mercedes-AMG E 63 saloon is a rip-snorting executive muscle car and its estate sister offers the same mischievous appeal in an extremely practical package. The E 63 Estate is no harder to live with on a daily basis than any other Mercedes E-Class Estate - aside from the matter of its huge running costs. For many, the thrill of driving will overshadow that, though, and passengers will enjoy its sumptuous interior and generous equipment list. Finally, a lady reviewing a car. I'm a guy, but sometimes I feel like I'm being testosterone poisoned by some of these male reviewers who only care about how fast it goes and all the toys they get to play with. As a guy, that's fantastic, but someone who cares about practicality and ride quality is good too. I don't even know her name, but I take her review a lot more seriously than some of the guys trying to do massive burnouts in race mode. You know that burns powertrains, right?

Speaking of that 4MATIC four wheel drive system, how come for the W212 generation of E63 AMG, 4MATIC four wheel drive wasn't available for right hand drive E63s?
That W212 E63 came with the RWD at the beginning, later when they introduced facelift version it was with AWD. They didn't plan to make it AWD, but since competition was tough they installed it. I think W212 platform wasn't made to be Right hand and AWD at the same time for AMG, IMO.
Would have required too much reengineering to put 4matic in rhd w212. They knew that the new generation was in the pipeline so didn't bother. Profit margins and all that.

It did make me laugh, as if anyone buying a E class 63 would be likely to worry about the environmental impact of using a single use water bottle and if they were they really have problems.

Good to for once get a female perspective on my E63S. As a guy, it’s always interesting to see another point of view that isn’t all about testosterone. Amazing job. I bought my mom a GLC300 and she loves it. Perfect for her. And I think she enjoys the 241 horses a little too much LOL. She’s still used to a Honda CRV. Massive upgrade. There’s no comparison.
In my opinion not the best way to promote a performance-oriented estate car. I could assume that the potential buyers are not interested in calm drive-by shoots of the car or of how conveniently the car can haul water bottles, as they can be discovered by any other video review of a standard car.

The RS6 does look better though - the E63 estate looks disproportionate, almost too long and the rear tailgate needs more slope

+Harun its not about need. its about want. Do you need a supercar? no but its fun. Do you need a powerful estate car? No but it is nice to have one car that you can daily drive that has the practicality of a family car, the luxury of a luxury car and the performance of a supercar all in one. Its a great all rounder.....a super family car. Its not stupid you're just incredibly ignorant and narrow minded.
Because I like to bring along my wife, two kids and dog when I embarrass 95% of sports cars

STOP LOOKING at the camera! lady please. We can hear you. Calculate how much distance you travel in that time. Many reviewers do the same but you've just punched in in a wooded area. Foot to the floor without control (ok it was brief you may say - err so was looking away) If that dear jumps out and you are not able to at least control a crash as best as possible then at least you may avoid a head on with the family coming the other way.
High performance cars do not mean high performance drivers. The Speed kills campaign while 100% true when a pedestrian is hit, is not true for accidents that where not because of speed but poor judgment. Hear me out here- lets say during this review there was an accident, if it's proven that the drivers where not over the speed limit then the investigation logs it as an accident...
let's say another situation where I want to overtake in a safe way but i'm forced to overtake more than one frustrated idiot behind a caravan because none of them have any observational awareness, i'm indicating to come in but the car I just passed closes the gap....so at this point I've still some time but not much to either A break and drop back behind the frustrated idiot that tries to kill me over 8 feet of car space on some tarmac because he/she does NOT want thinkers or drivers with some skills to pass them? NOOO because they have an expensive car with a lot of power that's used to sitting behind another car that is 8 years old and no power in the same TRAFFIC JAM. the City people generally can not drive in the country at all and so please car buyer, i'm completely against the whole nanny state the UK has become but use common sense because it's why we have 40 areas that should be 60 because the rules are for the idiots. Outside of city/town/village you can really make some very fast safe and exhilarating driving with education.
