I believe you may have mixed up what you've heard about singing position. Most any vocal coach in the world will tell you that the best position for singing is standing. Sitting is the most difficult position from which to sing well. This is why you rarely see singers sitting while they sing. You have to be an absolute Master at your craft to sing well from a sitting or stooping position. Of course we know that Dimash is in fact a master at his craft. Some coaches might recommended sitting as a training exercise. You compromise your support system, i.e. your diaphragm and breath support when not in a standing position and is generally not recommended for most. Singing is in fact a full body sport. Most of the effects from his digital show were CGI.
