Been following this young man for about 4 years now, in my 74 years I’ve NEVER heard another singer this good ! Many many other very good & accomplished singers but no one measures up to Dimash ! I personally prefer him in front of a live audience as he gets feedback and it empowers his performance. This was from a digital show released during lockdown so his fans could see him perform, although it's him live I felt it was a little flat because of the lack of audience, still excellent despite that. You fellows are going to be submerged with posts from his Dears. This is a once in a lifetime singer, performer, composer, producer.... Saw him in New York in 2019. I've seen a lot of concerts in my lifetime (73) but this goes straight to the soul. If the opportunity presents itself don't let it pass. His live show is a unique experience.

It's usually the song that most people watch for their first ever exposure to Dimash and it gives you a flavour of what his voice can do. There is SO MUCH MORE that he can do than this song. He sings in a wide range of different styles, and many times will mix different styles and genres in one song. He can do rock, pop, rap, jazz, ethnic tradtional (from various countries), operatic and more. He can sing in many different languages (much like an opera singer would be expected to do), but the languages include difficult ones such as Mandarin, Armenian, Russian, Turkish (not only the Spanish, German, Italian, English that opera singers might normally concentrate on). The man is a true creative, a musical and vocal innovator like the world has never seen before. He is opening the door for other innovators to do the same and since he started to become more famous (from his first exposure to China in 2017 on the TV show The Singer) I have noticed other, younger singers are starting to emulate this genre mixing. Dimash's voice is not just about range. 'Vocal range' is the numbers of octaves you can hit, from your bottom note to your top note. Saying that he has a wide vocal range is not a good description of what he does. Dimash is cross-genre, he has vocal colour, he has drama, he has emotion, he has control over every aspect of his voice, he can sing soft and breathy, hard and powerful, from a poppy sound to a metal scream. He can go from a punchy nasal twang to dark operatic in an instant. He plays with the vibrato speed from slow to fast. He sings it in straight tone then he brings vibrato in for the end of the note. He crescendos and de-crescendos. He whispers, he cries, he growls, he belts, he holds a note for so long that you cannot believe he hasn't fainted from lack of oxygen. Every time you listen to him, there is a new surprise, but not only that, he makes you FEEL again. He makes you want to hear good music again. Since I met Dimash, thanks to him and his various performances, I have learned about the existence of different instruments, about different musical styles, about different traditions in different cultures, because Dimash draws musical knowledge from different countries and puts it in his performances. Well, he had been. in September 2022, he was in Vegas to sing the Kazakhstan national anthem for the Canelo vs GGG boxing match. Been following this young man for about 4 years now, in my 74 years I’ve NEVER heard another singer this good ! Many many other very good & accomplished singers but no one measures up to Dimash ! But from the duets I’ve seen him sing he tries to make the other person sound just as beautiful ! He’s such a humble ‘Dear’ young man !

I personally prefer him in front of a live audience as he gets feedback and it empowers his performance. This was from a digital show released during lockdown so his fans could see him perform, although it's him live I felt it was a little flat because of the lack of audience, still excellent despite that. You fellows are going to be submerged with posts from his Dears. This is a once in a lifetime singer, performer, composer, producer.... Saw him in New York in 2019. I've seen a lot of concerts in my lifetime (73) but this goes straight to the soul. If the opportunity presents itself don't let it pass. His live show is a unique experience.

Thank you reacting to Dimash and his iconic 'signature tune' SOS. It's usually the song that most people watch for their first ever exposure to Dimash and it gives you a flavour of what his voice can do. There is SO MUCH MORE that he can do than this song. He sings in a wide range of different styles, and many times will mix different styles and genres in one song. He can do rock, pop, rap, jazz, ethnic tradtional (from various countries), operatic and more. He can sing in many different languages (much like an opera singer would be expected to do), but the languages include difficult ones such as Mandarin, Armenian, Russian, Turkish (not only the Spanish, German, Italian, English that opera singers might normally concentrate on). The man is a true creative, a musical and vocal innovator like the world has never seen before. He is opening the door for other innovators to do the same and since he started to become more famous (from his first exposure to China in 2017 on the TV show The Singer) I have noticed other, younger singers are starting to emulate this genre mixing.
Dimash's voice is not just about range. 'Vocal range' is the numbers of octaves you can hit, from your bottom note to your top note. Saying that he has a wide vocal range is not a good description of what he does. Dimash is cross-genre, he has vocal colour, he has drama, he has emotion, he has control over every aspect of his voice, he can sing soft and breathy, hard and powerful, from a poppy sound to a metal scream. He can go from a punchy nasal twang to dark operatic in an instant. He plays with the vibrato speed from slow to fast. He sings it in straight tone then he brings vibrato in for the end of the note. He crescendos and de-crescendos. He whispers, he cries, he growls, he belts, he holds a note for so long that you cannot believe he hasn't fainted from lack of oxygen. Every time you listen to him, there is a new surprise, but not only that, he makes you FEEL again. He makes you want to hear good music again. He makes you want to wake up and get back to the real you. Anyone who is tired of life just needs to listen to Dimash. No thought and no talk is necessary. You can just listen and not think. He will pierce your heart every time.

Since I met Dimash, thanks to him and his various performances, I have learned about the existence of different instruments, about different musical styles, about different traditions in different cultures, because Dimash draws musical knowledge from different countries and puts it in his performances. No artist before Dimash has ever influenced me and other people to get to know different countries from a cultural perspective, to learn songs in foreign languages, to do charity events, to overcome prejudices. Dimash has an extremely wide vocal range, which is quite impressive; but that’s not what defines him. He sounds exquisite at any range, which is incredible in and of itself.
Besides, his voice has so many colors and tone to it, not mentioning his vocal dynamics. His voice is soaring only to express his intense emotions, whether it’s a cry for help (SOS), a yearning (Samaltau), or to express pain or loss (The Story of One Sky). Dimash, being a composer himself (“Unforgettable Day”- Ұмытылмас күн, The Story of One Sky, El Amor en Ti…), knows how the song he interprets must be delivered. Indeed, what I love about Dimash is that he does not use his vocal abilities to show off, but to serve the song: through his voice, he’s telling us a story.
In short, he’s not only a masterful vocalist - It’s precisely thanks to his mastery that Dimash is able to freely dive, and tap, into his emotions; but he’s also a great storyteller. What I love about him as well is the way he immerses himself in the songs he sings.
Also, please know that Dimash is indeed classically trained - he even declined a position as an opera singer when he was only 22, and has absolute pitch (a rare cognitive trait by the way) which was discovered when he was only 5 years old.

There are not enough words to describe Dimash. You want to see emotion. Watch Ave Maria. The Story of One Sky video will blow you away. He has a range of 6 octaves. Sings in 13 different languages. You won't be able to show it. But watch his concert in Almaty. It is in his home country of Kazakhstan. It's in 3 parts. His entrance and the first song are just wonderful. In fact the outfit he wore is now in a case on display in his parents new restaurant.

Welcome to Dimash world. In your reaction, you mentioned if he was going to be in Vegas. Well, he had been. in September 2022, he was in Vegas to sing the Kazakhstan national anthem for the Canelo vs GGG boxing match. GGG is his fellow Kazakh and his friend, so Dimash gladly came for that event. Of course, Dimash sang the anthem so proudly and the whole place was amazed.

Congratulations for discovering Dimash, arguably the best singer of our time. Two more canonical performances for Dimash beginners are Sinful Passion and Stranger. He has also a portfolio of excellent music videos where he shows his talent as an actor, composer, and screenwriter, too. There are many great singers in the world but our beloved Dimash is something else. His talent and charisma are unmatchable. He is a superstar, very well know in China where he won all possibile awards, Best Asian Singer, Best International Singer, Best Overseas Singer, etc, in CIS area and also in Latin America. He is a pure vocal genius. Beside all, he is a wonderful human being. Thank you for appreciating his art and genius. Dimash es el 👑🎶🎤 . Muchos no le dan el reconocimiento que merece ,por envidia !! Aunque no les guste su estilo tendrían que reconocer que es el mejor vocalista del mundo . Canta he interpreta de manera espectacular , distintos géneros, varios idiomas, el y su equipo son altamente profesionales . Todavía no han visto nada 🤭. As some singers say, only singers can truly understand and appreciate what Dimash is doing with his music. Maybe that explains why he is not that popular among the masses. Moreover, most of the listeners nowadays prefer those kindergarten types of music.

Welcome to the best vocalist in the world! He has a 7.2 octave range and sings all genres from Opera to pop, rock, folk, classical, jazz and he even raps! SOS is taken from a 70's French rock opera called Starmania, but nobody has ever sung it like Dimash. Stranger (English) you will loveI think also Olimpico (Italian).
