My attempt to make Dalgona Milo and Dalgona Matcha guys. First attempt was an epic fail but then I added an additional ingredient and it turned out pretty well!

I love matcha too! I just tried the matcha "dalgona" (coz Im not that into coffee) 3 days ago and I was sad it didnt work. Never thought of mixing whipped cream to it. I could try this! Thanks!! 💚

You can also use egg white
I've seen some people use the BOH tea 3in1 matcha latte and it worked without the whip cream or ovalette so definitely you could try using that for the matcha again.

Try campur white telur.. ato bahan pengembang adonan roti alias ovalet
I use emulsifier, so i use one sachet mango flavor, two tb sugar, three tb water, mix it together, and i put it on frezer about 30 minutes, than i put half tb emulsifier and mix it, it is work. Fluffy mango on the top milk.

No, not using real mangoes, just a sachet powder drink mango flavor. In indonesia brand is Pop Ice. Just make sure the mixture is half frozen when u add some emulsifier in it. Good luck hope u did it.

actually the key for this drink is ratio of 1:1:1 if you use instant coffee... but it may takes some adjustment if you use another drink powder like matcha, milo, teh tarik, etc. hmmmmm

looks all yummy! For Milo I have added 2 tbsp of "all purpose cream" to make it NOT runny.. came out almost perfect :)

Is their anything to add to make the tea foamy?
You can try adding ovalette (stabilizer) or heavy cream, they can fluff up the tea :)

I was wondering if using ground coffee allows it to turn into a whipped cream consistency because it's made from beans? Similar to how you can use the excess water from canned chickpeas/garbanzos to make an egg white substitute merengue (see merengue from agua fava), I think it's the proteins inside the beans that allows it to be appropriately emulsified to be a whipped texture.
Some ppl say it might've been the CO2 in roast coffee being degassed whilst whisking 😁

Use brown sugar instead, it'll work. It's the sugar that makes it thick. Use 2 tbsp of 'hot' water as well.

Powdered sugar instead of regular sugar to aid in the foam process ?
Hmm not sure that will work though, cause roasted coffee already has CO2 in it. That's why it can foam effortlessly. Choc and matcha however don't degas. Have you tried it?

Hi farah... For milo galdona you may add ovalet into it so it will helps in foaming into fluffy consistency while u blend them, Thats the secret.. Gd luck in trying!! For the ovalet you may find them in bakery section in the supermarket..

Hmmm I've seen other videos whipping pasteurized egg whites into a foamy consistency and being combined with sugar water before dissolving matcha powder in water and combining it with the merengue-like mixture, so maybe you can try it like that with milo powder and tea!

I managed to get all coffee, milo and matcha to work for the dalgona challenge. I have the recipe in the description in my video go check it out! No whipped cream needed. :)
Well you guys could buy unwip cream and wip it yourself and mix the Milo paste together. To have stiffer and lighter peak
Thought the same thing but instead of doing all of that just add 2 tablespoon milo/matcha mix with water and sugar and add to heavy cream (not whipped) and whip til stiff peaks form(soft peak is fine). For Vegans or those who are lactose intolerant you can try with any nut milk and substitute with coconut cream for the dalgona part, just simply put the coconut milk in the fridge overnight and scoop the 'cream' part.
Yup using heavy cream or ovalette would've made better texture
You need to melt the sugar and boil it in water to get a thick syrup, before whipping the matcha tea in it.😊

Consider whipping the milo/matcha bowl on top of an ice bowl or over warm water (bain marie, you can google what i mean) just like how you would make whipped cream and sabayon. I haven't tried it my self but it's an approach worth a try.
I think the reason behind the foamy texture of using instant coffee is due to the fat content that it has..and that is why using matcha and tea can’t produce the same result
Also because naturally roasted coffee contains CO2 so degassing happens in the process, hence the fluffy texture. I read about this somewhere 😁

Thank you. Depends on where you are. Since I'm currently in the UK I got it from Sainsbury. Otherwise you can get it online. Shopee has got it too, if you're from Malaysia
