That looked so awesome!! So much detail everywhere too. What a gorgeous location. I'm going to have to watch the Lord of the Rings again. Loved those movies. "Cheers" 😉
This is so neat and how special to be able to tour it absolutely beautiful and magical just like in the movies! Thank you so much for sharing your honeymoon it has been really fun to follow you and Owen along on your journey of New Zealand def giving me more ideas for future vacations and what to do while there this will def be on the list!!
Hi there! (before I forget, congrats on your marriage!). No, I'm not going to, I fear they will spoil the fun of reading the books. It's a bit snobbish of me of course.
Hobbiton looks just how it should. I love authenticity but it all seems very quiet without the Hobbits. Great filming stories too. I haven't been there .... yet, but I live only 30 minutes away. A lot of us are hanging out for a local's discount! I think New Zealanders are still slightly incredulous that the film set has remained so popular with tourists after all this time. Most of the NZ population was involved in the movie in some distant way, even if it was only encouraging our friends to audition as extras 🤩. Some visitors are probably too young to have even watched LoTR. I hope you enjoyed some other locations too. I'll be visiting Edoras next year on my glampervan trip and have been to many other sites. Thanks for the great filming you've done I'm really enjoying it.
A very beautiful location. There must be a lot of upkeep because they would have planted everything to look correct when filming but it still looks good.
Haha - waiting for Gollum to leap outa the pond to welcome his precious guests 😳😂 What an amazing day you guys had with everyone's cameras clicking away. Can't fault your camera work Jen, some lovely memories to take home.
Ooooooh!!! That was so cool!!! That's the most I've seen of the Hobbiton set so far! (Okay, I really haven't searched, either.) If I win a big lottery, that's where I'm going!
I would so live in the Shire 😱 LOL Well, maybe make it base camp ... So much explanation to do. Thank you for sharing Jennifer & Owen. ❤ ✌ 👣 🐵 👑 CHEERS 🍺 👍
I've watched a few of your videos now and what surprised me the most is the lack of kiwi accents - how did you manage to see so much of NZ and run into so few Kiwis? The tour guide here really stood out, especially when she said 'chimber' and 'chimbley' in place of chimney :D I can't even pick her accent. But I guess if you do tourist things you spend time around a bunch of other tourists - hope you got to meet some great NZers too :)
She told us she was from Canada and spoke French as her first language. So it's probably an accent with Canadian French and New Zealand wrapped together haha and we definitely did get to meet local kiwis! I just didn't video much of that to be respectful. ;)

You guys could have stayed at a real hobbits house for a night. Search online for Underhill Valley and you'll see what im talking about. It is near Hamilton. My brother in laws friends run it
My mother who is a Die Hard LOTR fan just smiled like there's no tomorrow at your video, she says thank you for sharing!

So amazing babe. I forgot just how green and

Literally the greenest place ever!!
That looked so awesome!! So much detail everywhere too. What a gorgeous location. I'm going to have to watch the Lord of the Rings again. Loved those movies. "Cheers" 😉

I agree!
Very cool to see the sets and the rest of the movie lot.
I thought so, too!
Thank you for sharing!
Well thank you for watching!
Yes, that is absolutely beautiful. And I haven't even seen the movies! (but I have read the books so it does look familiar).
Oh wow! That's impressive. Do you plan on watching them ever?

I think you locals deserve a discount for sure! Hahah but I hope you go one day. It was so fabulous!!
That was cool. The last time I was in NZ was before the movie was made, so this wasn’t around, thanks for sharing! 💫💫
Well now you have a reason to go back!! :)
On the ole bucket list for sure!😍😎
I would bet it's better than you are imagining it. I sure hope you get to see it one day!
A very beautiful location. There must be a lot of upkeep because they would have planted everything to look correct when filming but it still looks good.
Oh definitely! They talk about the upkeep while on the tour. There were gardeners all around when we were there as well.
That was beautiful! Thx 4 sharing.
Of course! Thanks for watching. 😍
So jealous. What an awesome place.
Maybe one day you’ll see it in person!

Owen having a stout at the inn was a surprise lol
Hahah why was that a surprise!?
To me stout is so British. Good on him
Haha really!? That’s all he drinks really 😂
Holy crap that was AWESOME!!!!! Just made my 2020 vacation plans for me :-))
I LOVE that!! I hope you have a blast.
I’ve no doubt :-)
Been in New Zealand my whole life never been to hobbiton lol

There will always be the Shire!
Yessss!
I understand the North Island has had some heavy weather lately. Wait for the water to subside and be careful on your river crossings.
The weather there is so drastic, huh? You just never know lol

Bucket list item, actually NZ in general!
Ya, you definitely have to check out Hobbiton if you make it to NZ!
I love the Shire I wanna go!!! Were you able to tour it on your own or you had to stay in a group?
You have to stay with your tour guide. :)
Are the houses just the front or did they really dig into the earth for a fully functional hobbit house?
I know for some they for sure dug out. But I don’t know about all of them. That’s a great question!
@@JenniferMabus Awesome...I meant to reply earlier. Are you OK from that Volcano erupting? Wasn't it in New Zealand?
Happy honeymoon!
Thanks, Max!
Yeah/nah help yourself to the vegies they not fake.

Oh that is so awesome! Someone actually built one here in Washington State as well, so I will have to settle for that!! Lol
Lol fair enough. I hope you guys enjoyed travelling NZ. Did you get to travel both Islands?? Have only seen what you have uploaded to date.
