Oh! It's so neat to see this! Thank you so much for sharing with us! I love your hubby! He seems very nice and funny! It's nice to hear what he thinks, too. Have a wonderful time! It looks like the thatch roofs are laid Japanese style. They must have gotton that company from Kyoto to come and do it.

Hi Jen, if the driver that seemed to cause the crash came from your right at the roundabout then the person in front of you caused the crash because we give way to the right here. Glad to hear that you've been enjoying it so far, hope it continues for you both. 🙂

@@JenniferMabus Oh okay, they definitely failed to give way then. Both you & Owen seemed to get the hang of driving on the wrong side of the road quite easily, what was it like driving the first time or two when you got back home?

Lake Taupo is the caldera of a super volcano like Yellowstone. And here is something else to contemplate, the New Zealand volcanic field is part of The Pacific Ring of Fire and so are the volcanoes on The West Coast of America like Mount St. Helens so you have travelled half way around the world but you are still on the same global geographical feature.

Not sure why you didn't see the Huka Falls. It is a real fall and quite impressive. The river views you saw were bit further up river. No comment about the thermal fragrance except that I refuse to take my visitors there! They have to go when I'm busy. It's sad that we no longer have many free camping places and that some people are refusing to pay DoC's fees at their campsites. Oh the first world problems we have! Unfortunately freedom campsites have been abused by a few campers (probably related to the driver who caused the accident in Taupo) and closed off. Taupo pronunciation sounds like toe-paw. You're doing well with Maori place names. I'm loving sharing your travels. Your videos are great and thanks for taking the time to do all that editing.

Alright! Theres no talking, half my videos are just silent. Truely amazing section of the mountain, the section called the Enchanted Forest is listed in some websites that do, top 10 etc, magical/mysterious/forests in the world. Search, Enchanted Forest, Mt Taranaki to read about it. One part is called, Goblin Forest from memory. The waterfall you saw in that other video is in the same landscape.
You would have seen Mt Taranaki from the Tongariro walk if the weather was clear.
Maybe I will find out in your next video!

I don’t think we’re better drivers or worse drivers...I lived in America and they are equally dreadful. Tongariro is my home district. You could have stayed on the marae if you told us you were coming through.
