Michelle Kimberley (Modern pentathlete from Evesham, Worcestershire) versus Meleri Davies (Police officer from South-West Wales)
Jonny Alcock (Quantity surveyor from Hartlepool, County Durham) versus Andrew Morley (Builder from Huddersfield, West Yorkshire)
Notes: Duel is not the third Northern heat which is meant to be the third Northern heat for its appearance to be played in odd numbered heats as a core event and a combat event in an event line-up by only one parity number of the heats.
Gauntlet is in the third Northern heat, which should have been in the second Northern heat as a core event in an event line-up for one even numbered heat, previously.
Absent: Laser and Zodiac.
John sachs keeps calling panther lightning on gauntlet lol
Catastrophic performance from Nightshade, totally anonymous. It was clear in this episode that she had lost her power and strength. Very sad that it was a virus caught during the Ashes in Australia, she should have been given time to recover fully before competing again. The demise of Nightshade is painful to sit and watch.

A few names I think would be good for Gladiators in the future: Jackal, Retro, Cavalier, Veloz, Madhouse, Viking, Bookworm, Dart, Goodwill, Apparition.
I think the only time Saracen seems to lose it is in the GAUNTLET, every other event he's such a gentleman and a fantastic sportsman!
Could have been heat if the moment. You know what the games like.
well, there was 1997 - quarter final 4, and 1998 - quarter final 1, where he really did kick off at john anderson, to be fair though, i think they were the only 2 other occasions he actually did though!! 😂

I have seen some exciting eliminators in the USA, but those two in this episode were big comebacks. Wow!

Jonny Alcock really showed Michelle, Meleri & Andrew how to deal with The Travelator
After the battering Jonny got from Warrior I am surprised he was able to complete the eliminator
Ikr? Totally unnecessary from Warrior. Something not quite right in the head of that guy (as was shown in his later life with his ties to criminals and money swindling). Warrior.... More like "Wan*er"
At first, you can't tell that Michelle used the central part of the travelator but then when you see the replay from a different angle it's obvious.

Incredible Eliminators this time around!
Michelle should've been disqualified for cheating on the travalator. Why did John make both girls restart from the balance beam, that was not fair at all. Meleri was at the bottom of the travalator just about to run up it when John made them restart. Not fair at all and I wish she complained.

Two exciting eliminators in this episode!
Having seen the incident Michelle Kimberly caused on the travalator by using her legs on the static section in the centre, I think it was right for the ref to send both girls back to the beginning of the balance beam, but I think Meleri Davis who started the Eliminator with a 3 second head-start should've also been allowed to start the sudden death play-off with that head-start intact seeing as it was Michelle that caused the incident in the first place and not because both girls were tired and need the regain their energy after failing the travalator so many times.
In short Meleri should start the sudden death race with her 3 second head-start intact and that in my opinion would've been a lot fairer.
Mind you looking at how Michelle's supporters were taking it when John Anderson spoke about the incident, it does make you think they were the sore losers and not Michelle!
The travelator got it's own back on Michelle in The Ashes.
This reminds me of an incident in Australia Gladiators during the eliminator when one of the female contenders helmet came off. The eliminator was stopped and after the helmet was replaced the eliminator was restarted and the contender who had the head start started with the same headstart.
@@michaelvidal1971 Yeah I've seen that incident too, although it had to be stopped for safety reasons & not through cheating of the contenders

I cannot believe that men's eliminator Andrew it was in the bag in truly was in the bag he was miles ahead but he had a travellator catastrophe

Jonny Alcock I mean seriously wow just wow the biggest head start deficit overturned since Series 2 when Steve Quick overturned a 15 second head start to win his heat and then followed it up by coming back from a 10 second head start deficit in the last 8 unbelievable
You could tell Uli loved saying Johnny Alcock's name.

Johnnie should have been awarded 5 points from gauntlet. He was clearly pinned by warrior and that would cause a DQ
Good thing Jonny won the Eliminator in the end, he really did deserve it out of all 4 Contenders this episode, the other 3 made a right mess of the Travelator throughout!
And ulrika jonsson ffs,, "absolutely amazing, 10 seconds".. he was 15 seconds behind with a donkey only having to run up the traverlater but managing to fail not once but twice.
Actually Nightshade played Powerball so she wasn't absent.
It says she is a guest Gladiator.
Tough show for Rebel and Rio, pretty much every event!

@@davidfearis7335 They're allowed to momentarily crawl, jump, twist. Do you expect the contenders just to run stupidly directly at the gladiators and allow themselves to be smashed in the face repeatedly?
Doesn't matter, he got out-skilled and from that point needs to let go of the ram rod. Seen it happen before on that game plenty of times, they have to let go and let the contender carry on past them.

They are allowed to do that, the rules state they must have at least one hand on the strap at all times & they must NOT put their hands down on the platform

i personally think that the rules should have been allowing the contenders to score a point for each gladiators they pass, and score 10 points when they get past all 5 gladiators, like how the 1998 rules were, it must be so frustrating when michelle nearly got to the end but ended up with no points, such a pisstake!! they should have stuck with the 1998 rules of the game when they introduced the event in 1994!!
As fiddly as the Sky One reboot was, even it at least got scoring for Gauntlet right.

Absolutely pethetic the blokes on that traverlater so far,, heat 1 was a joke, and andrews here was absolutely pitiful.. its the easiest part of the eliminator ffs,, come off the beam with a spring and sprint up it with purpose. Truly diabolical tbh,, and two shite competitors have benefitted from 2 clowns not knowing how to run up a traverlater ffs.
Don't forget these contenders are only from the NORTH of Great Britain, we'll have to compare them to those from the SOUTH of Great Britain.
@@davidfearis7335 On second viewing of this something looks off about his attempt,, like its either been sped up as he runs up it or he does it on purpose to throw the whole event.

That has to be the worst women's swingshot I have ever seen...
The only time where both contenders got 0 POINTS, both failed to get back up the towers quickly enough & the gladiators did enough to keep the contenders away from the cylinder until the end where it was too late to basket the ball.
