Sarah Damm (Sport science lecturer from East Birmingham, West Midlands) versus Hannah Owens (Hatmaker and mother from Whitchurch, Shropshire)

Notes: The Wall and Hang Tough finally appear for the first time which they were supposed to be played from the first heat.
Suspension Bridge appears in the second Northern heat as a core event and a combat event in an event line-up for one even numbered heat, 2 as it interchanges with Duel.
New Event: Sumo Ball.
Absent: Laser, Nightshade, and Zodiac. Развлечения
Love the Hang Tough music! Hey Rock and Roll, Bring it to town let’s go! Hey Rock and Roll, Let’s Go Let’s Go Let’s Go! WHOOOO!
I was 5 months pregnant with my son when this was aired 💙💙
LOL Fashanu making Hannah feel like crap at the end.
Vogue and Panther were my two favorites from this show!
Glad Hannah got another chance in the Ashes, she'd have beaten any other contender in the Northern heats.
Sarah was disqualified as she made no effort to use the stick properly just shoved her off the bridge.
Rio coining the term “all mighty Push” lol
Well done to Trojan. A great show for him. Another win on Suspension Bridge. He has a excellent record on the bridge, only losing once to Phil Norman. And a great take down on Hang Tough. His first time on the rings while in his 4th season. That's what I loved about Gladiators, seeing a gladiator do a totally different unexpected event after a few seasons. He also has totally transformed himself from season 2 where he was a massive 18st, now down to a little over 14st. He never got the credit he deserved, last 2 seasons he been excelling on SkyTrak and Pyramid. It's not all about Hunter.
He lost to Phil Norman and DR TIM in Season 2. Trojan did get a lot better at the speed events in Season 4 and 5 but got a bit overshadowed by Hunter.
That was quite a EPIC CRASH of the Zip-Line for Robbie!
I think UK Gladiators just managed to have more fun with the whole thing, but I love them all
Sarah's disqualification in suspension bridge was controversial more so as in series 6 another contestant pushed the gladiator and was not disqualified. I think the difference is that Sarah Damm did not make any attempt to engage Rio she just pushed her back. This was not the only controversial tactic used by Sarah Damm.
Not sure if you noticed, but Trojan pushed his contender off the bridge also. Granted he hit him once or twice before hand, it was a shove that threw him off the bridge.
Robbie biggest mistake in the Eliminator came at Spaghetti Junction, he went in far too high and got badly tangled whereas Steve stayed low and made his way through like a snake. So the real tactic of getting through Spaghetti Junction quickly is to go into it low and stay low working your way through.
ohh the muscles and biceps in this one are fantastic.
I like Vogue and Falcon, but a Hang Tough without Lightning is as disappointing as a birthday card without any money in it.
The cas prize really went down in this series but the runners up got a holiday this time
My favorite female UK Gladiator is Suzanne Cox aka Vogue, who is my Pisces.
Ace was awesome in the atlasphere. Kept Robbie at bay to ensure a cleansheet.
Ace using both legs and arms correctly in the sphere and hes right using arms too much will tire you out.
Rebel vs hannah on suspension bridge what a battle. Hannah making rebel work for the cleansheet is what gladiators want from the contenders a good battle
RIP Falcon
Still can’t believe ma uncle was on gladiators ... mental
Your uncle is a legend 🙌 Especially for those who live in Hampshire
@jadekinnard6785 You must be a proud niece

Seasons he been excelling SkyTrake and Pyranmied ,ir not all about Hunter .
quarterfinals place in the finals quarterfianls Semi-fianls
back two come elimiantior come final me
Hunter once opened some frozen food shop in my town (that didn’t last long). I was a kid and we went to see it but I can’t find evidence or articles of it ANYWHERE!
FASH: What's a clown doing on Gladiators?
ME: Pretending to be a Wolf (LOL)!
Steve is a big guy.. as big as a Gladiator, a pity he didnt get tried out to be one
That's what I thought but then it said he weighs 88kg! He looks bigger than that
I think the eliminator was the most effort Sarah put in all evening.
God James “Hunter” Crossley was hot. Still is in fact.
He is!
I was always torn between Cobra, Saracen, Rhino & Warrior.
19:10 phwoarr! Get a look at Rio eh, what a woman she is 😍😍😍💞💞
The debut of everyone's favorite, Sarah Damm, LOL. I love her though. Best athlete that season and the one who introduced the bikini shorts for the female contenders (she looked lovely in them too).
Nice
152cm height for rhino I know he was one of the smallest gladiators height wise but me thinks someone hit the 5 instead of the 7 here
This went unchanged until about midway through the next series, no joke. It makes me wonder how such an obvious mistake went unnoticed for so long and whats more John Sachs actually went with it.
This is probably the season where you start to notice John Anderson making some really stupid decisions regarding contenders on a few occasions
Weird seeing Sarah not in yellow, no less lovelier though!
28th September 1996
paul field won gladiators in 1994
The lady gladiators really needed to get it together at this point this season! They keep letting points go!
I joke to myself that the training camp was actually just a vacation for the gladiators, but come on! lol
Wolf did an interview recently and said that the producers told the gladiators to go easy on the contestants because they kept getting injured and running out of reserve contestants as a result. Maybe that could have something to do with it.
1996 the year they ran out of hairspray
18:02
Does she dance on the sand?
Check your rulebook John. Contenders and Gladiators are aloud to use their bodyweight
John Anderson is a bit of a plonker
If this is about Suspension Bridge, then I think that Sarah Damm did use her hand to push Rio off (I'm not 100% sure).
Looking at it again, there wasn't a hand so the rules must have been toughened up for 1996.
Using Bodyweight yes. A straight push without even attempting to deliver a blow. NO.
@@nicoladale1668i know you're not supposed to push the gladiator off
28:17
It really wasnt fair allowing sports athletes into this,, sarah damm another that gets funding and gets all the free time in the world to train.
I agree with there and it was also BAD SPORTSMANSHIP of her on Suspension Bridge just pushing Rio off the side of the bridge, it does beg the question though if contender pushed the Gladiators back so they stayed on the bridge but it gives the contender time to just run past them to reach the other side, would that have counted?
50:28
The bungee maze is such bullshit
It was gone by next series
Sarah was so arrogant.
You are 100% correct about that.
Her kit says otherwise
Hi Mate is Marie Farmer Been Gladiator to win
Not a very high scoring for the men
Sarah Damm came across as very arrogant a lot of the time during a lot of these events
