    I got the bed mat as soon as I bought my Tacoma. Best thing ever.

    Exceptionally clear video without unnecessary blabber, LOL.

      There should be a special tag for guys who do an excellent job like this. So many are adding nonsense and blabber to get to the monetization. I don't mind a long video if it's informative... but so many are not.

    I used your video as the basis of my bed step installation. Thanks so much for putting out such a detailed product. It certainly made the project much easier.

    If you haven’t already, I’d highly recommend getting the bed mat; just got mine and love it.

      An absolute must with that composite bed.

    Just installed mine thanks to your video. I found it fairly easy overall. Hardest part for me was finding a good position underneath the car to tork the nuts.

    • @aaronstestlab
      @aaronstestlab  4 года назад

      Right on. That is the hardest part, hence my little extension/universal joint cluster.

    Thanks for an informative DIY video. It's crazy what Toyota dealership wants for these parts.

    Great video. Well done. Concise and to the point. Fellow wetside Washingtonian here getting ready to take delivery of a 22 SR5 and looking at things I know I will want that were not on the build.
    I used your Amazon link to order the step as it was down to 212.50 and Honey reported it to be best price available.

    Installed my step yesterday no special tools, 3/8 drive and extension to make sure the drive extension is just long enough to operate just past the neck of the bracket

    Aaron, how do you dismiss the "open tailgate" chime while driving with your tailgate down for long items?

    Question: why the need for the universal joint, would the regular 1/2 inch extender not fit in there?

    • @aaronstestlab

      It's a been a while since I did this...but off hand I vaguely remember not being able to access with just an extension.

    • @BentRim
      @BentRim 2 года назад +1

      Tools are a buy it for life item. Pick them up a few here and there and you can't go wrong. A basic set of 3/8" drive sockets, ratchet and end wrenches can complete a lot of tasks and won't set you back much at all.
