We joke around a lot, but this may be a perfect example of what blizzard had in mind for z v t when they made the game. In their wildest dreams, this was the apex of both races going against one another in synchopated harmony. Just honestly stunning how great both of these guys are. yeah but we have to admit that mech is not DOABLE in tvz, jyj seemed like he was going home with a 3-0 till that crazy all in, nevertheless soulkey played amazing and what a comeback! greatest march off the season apart from that best sharp pvt
Mech has had good results at the pro level. I think it's generally when they win with the first push though, if the game goes on too long they get overran like what happened here@@denesolah1328

It is all fixed. Soulkey will win this season. As some other users already pointed out. ASL sadly matchfixed because to many Terran winners in the last years.
Incredible games, thank you guys for continuing to cast ASL. I've stopped watching starcraft 2 for the most part and watching brood war just so cathartic and entertaining. I hope a new RTS comes out that rivals brood war but I don't think that'll ever really happen. Games one, four and five were so incredible.
Love the casting as always but love the thumbnails! Homage to the eternal casting duo in the best e-sports game ever. I do appreciate the quicker vids and no desync issues. Sucks to not have Tasteless on cam but as long as Tastetosis offers their signature commentary I’m content. Great job!

I love to see both of you , just once there was delay in sound in 1 game , but other video was perfect maybe 1-2 seconds delay , but 1-2 seconds delay is no problem , we want to see Tastless aswell :)

Absolutely phenomenal series! Match of the tournament here, quite possibly. Spoilers---- - - I'm so happy for my boy Soulkey here. He has a genuine best case matchup against Rush next round, since he's already knocked out the strongest terran in the tournament here, and has a GREAT shot at getting to the finals. He will definitely have to put in some work and stay on top of it, but I have faith in his killer instinct. Now I just want to see Mini make it out of the other side of the bracket. A Mini Soulkey finals would be INSANE!
I'VE GOT IT! If you really can't manage to get Tasteless on-screen. Get a little cardboard cut out of him and have him sit next to Artosis. I cannot see how this would go wrong.
ALRIGHT, DAMN !! What a set of games, very insightful commentary (Tastosis are not just nostalgia, they ARE the best). THIS WAS A CELEBRATION of Starcraft: Broodwar and I am thankful :)
I hate that all the negative made them feel like that had to change the format. Tastosis is literally the reason I became a Starcraft fan. I don’t care if it takes a few weeks, I never miss an episode.
As much as I love Andy, Ziggy's dubbing is much stronger than Andy's. Having trained as an interpreter myself, I suspect this is due to the fact that most people who do translation and interpreting and dubbing for a living have a stronger direction: usually second language --> native language. Being a [incorrect: native English speaker,] (as noted below, Ziggy's Polish) Ziggy is always going to express things in English more smoothly and more naturally when interpreting Korean into English. Just my 2 cents.
I appreciate that you guys are always looking to improve the cast, just know that i am not going anywhere. ASL is always a treat and this season has been one of my favorites! I love what you and your team do and i hope it continues for a long time.
Curious as to why Zerg players still cant go hydra/ lurker / defiler during mech play? My understanding is that dark swarm covers all projectile style attacks and all mech attacks are projectile based (not sure about seige tank as i asume it functions similar to reaver attack).
@@Olagfigh well your dark swarming your own units so that your hydras are protected. So technically when u DS yourself you should be protected from tank shots, cultures, BCs, etc...

Before fight starts it would be awesome to take a good position, but the deal is you have to do it before Tanks siege up. Another problem is, if Terran is playing bio, Marines might get inside your DS so Hydras won't do any dmg to them. All in all Zerglings are easier with DS

I really like the new format, a suggestion though, turning up Tasteless just a smidge or turning down Artosis just a smidge would level the audio between you two. Not too much, only a little.
This was such a beautiful game. The range of gameplay was amazing, the series itself was ultra competitive, and the casting was phenomenal! Tasteless jokes are too funny, and the level of gameplay analysis/insight artosis is able to provide is shockingly prophetic sometimes! Broodwar forever!

Instead he goes for an uber cheese and a mech play, which I don't think I've ever seen win. Why go crazy. Obviously he's infinitely better than I am, but it just seems weird.
It wasn't even an all in cheese. He got unlucky that SoulKey chose 9 pool. Last game I respect him for trying something new. Sometime you live and die by a new strat.
First off, great quality, loving the fast uploads. Small suggestion, since the split Artosis/Tasteless camera isn't possible with this style, I think it would look cleaner if you just didn't show the camera at all. Show a graphic, even the Patreon one perhaps? Either that or a still shot of Tasteless or something where he'd normally appear. This didn't hurt my enjoyment at all, to be clear. But it was a noticeable oddity. Felt strange to watch Artosis sitting there listening.
Get rid of everything but their voices. In some years, we can get rid of them entirely just upload their recordings into a machinelearning programm and whopp we can have all the future asl casted by a much cooler duo, that never ages, never is bored while casting, never loses its sparks and doesnt lose their quality because of health problems. Long live the future AI, buuu the humans!!!

The TTS volume needs to be turned up. I cant hear it at all. There's also no TTS transcription on the screen anywhere either.

Hydras attacks are also projectile styled attacks. So Dark Swarm would project Terran units from Hydras, Mutas and Guardians
