That game 4 was actually sick. Rush pulled a Serral v Ragnarok game 5 gg timing I think. Probably would've lost but definitely gged early. Especially when your tournament life is on the line.
I think rush still had chance in that 4 game, the economic damage to hero was about tha same, he was very mining, watch the minimap and see he is not sending more waves of units to kill rush. The terran did still had the vessels, he could manage to mine some minerals the marine army is cheap, its not a good unit to face late cracklings and ultras with darkswarm of course, but at least its cheap. Maybe rush just didnt feel like going into that super late crazy game, even if he won, wich of course realisticly he had a low chance, still has to go for a fifth game and win to advance in the tournament. And yeah at the end i believe HerO totally deserves advancing he was better than rush.
Eh, with Hero still having a good amount of minerals, he could have completely stopped making gas units and only Ling and the vessels would have been essentially worthless.
Besides the StarCraft I think my favorite parts of these videos are when the graphics just happen to be on the screen for a lot longer than tasteosis think it will. 😂
Funny thing I noticed, they just had it mentioned that the player name graphic also shows the clock positions of the starting bases, but what wasn't mentioned is that it takes about 10 seconds or more into the game clock for them to put up that graphic; already past the time when Tastosis needs to have introed the starting positions!
I think rush got beat up so badly he gave up a game he had a pretty good shot in, Hero is just so hard to play, Rush is my favorite player and I'll keep cheering for him every time. He'll get back to the finals eventually, I'm a little worried about the state of balance finally caving where one race runs away with it now that players are getting so good.
*** not sure why Rush gg so quickly, think he could've tried to stabilize. He had some infantries and 4 vessels left to def and like 4 ccs to pump out scv vs herO's 2 hatch + 2 inproduction and almost 0 in the bank so he won't be attacking soon besides those 4 scourge you saw in the last clip
He's down 10 workers vs. 26 and Zerg based has some minerals left. His Vessels doesn't have energy left to Irradiate via eraser or against Ultras, and Zerg has enough gas for a couple of Scourge or a single Ultra. At that point Zerg will just focus on killing his workers which is basically gg.
Rush was mentally broken at the end of game 4. TvZ is a really hard matchup, even at the pro level, and Hero is just too good to lose to almost anyone. I think he has a good chance of winning it all.
INSANE set, easily could have been an ASL finals with these two, look forward to the winner roughing up Sharp something awful in the next round! Spoiler area, the mental strain was crazy in that final game. After the completely disgusting holds by her0 on Citadel and put on his back foot with his tournament life on the line, you could see that Rush did not have the confidence to be aggressive and take the win. It's wild how closely matched these two are, and even though the gameplans were extremely standard, the decision-making mindgames were absolutely critical and ultimately what won the set for her0. Personally I would love to see either of these players finally take an ASL, so here's hoping her0 can finally get to hold that trophy (though the winner of the other side of the bracket is going to be a monster!)
Yeah really did feel like that. Even though Hero should 100% win from that position, it's always possible he would screw up trying to close it out too quickly and that could have given Rush the opportunity to get back in the game. But the real mistake was sending his vessels back to meet up with his army in the bottom left. Wonder if that was a hotkey mistake, cost him the game I think. Vessels were almost home and then suddenly turned back.
@@Voodoo9097 Yeah I noted that as well. It 100% would've changed the game, because the single defiler is what won it for zerg, which would've been irradiated. No reason for vessels to go back when 7 o clock main and nat were already razed.
SPOILER ALERT: Did Rush really have to gg the last game? I think he could've turned it around with like 6-7 science vessels that were left? Both of them were at really really low supply.
not sure if he had it but there was at least somewhat of a chance. Definitely a premature gg when your tournament life is on the line, even if there's only a 5% chance you stay in the game and play it out until it's for sure at 0%

@@veidro The Bastions provide Terran with an excellent field of fire for siege tanks. No other race can abuse the wall structure as well as them. They quite literally have a citadel to defend their base with.
@@veidro For TvZ in particular "normal map" is T favored. Siege tanks see frequent use in the matchup even if they aren't the backbone, and mech is probably a bit stronger here.

Dude, I follow Tasteless and Artosis casting since early Kespa era and always perceived them as world class commentators. But when I get used to it and forget how good they are, Artosis says something like "he's missing his killer instinct", leaving me speechless in awe, again.
I am curious. Since the show is done from a recording couldn't you just make someone set a timer before and after the games(so that you don't know when the game is going to end) to have a countdown to transitions?

Rush really needs a better draw at some point. Every ASL he has to go through hero and/or Soulkey and it's tough to beat those guys all the time and get back to the finals. hero was due for a win here and hopefully he takes the finals over Soulkey

The last game was so close, I really thought it would go the other way around, but the loser was out of minerals and out of workers and had to gg.
Premature tap from rush in game 4!! He had vessels man! Unbelievable. Hero was also decimated. Crazy.
Rush had no army. One or 2 marines every 30 seconds with a bunch of vessels can't do anything. He also only had 5 scvs which couldn't mine

When is ASL finals ? Or where can I actually find rest of schedule ? I've done some searching but legit can't find it.
I think the Wikis usually have it, but be careful: I once checked for the dates because the cast wasn't ready yet, and accidentally saw the winners.
Other Ro8 matches are April 8 and 9. Semis are Apr 15 and 16 and the finals are Apr 27.
