And he gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and those from Ephraim, Manasseh, and Simeon
👉 who were residing with them,👈 for great numbers had deserted to him from Israel when they saw that the Lord his God was with him. They were gathered at Jerusalem in the third month of the fifteenth year of the reign of Asa. They sacrificed to the Lord on that day from the spoil that they had brought 700 oxen and 7,000 sheep. And they entered into a covenant to seek the Lord, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and with all their soul,

Also, 2 Chron 11:13-17 & 12:1 and James 1:1 & Mt 15:24 prove the two houses were already regathered by the first century. This also disproves dispensationalism and futurism.
But question, theonomy is a different position than torahism. And, depending on how one slices it, they may categorize clean foods & feast celebrations apart from the levitical/ceremonial/ecclesiastical system. So then, can that not be a legitimate expression of faith?

First of all, I just wanted to thank you for taking the time to make these highly-detailed videos in response to certain teachings and taking them step-by-step. As someone who has part of my family who is in the HRM and has gifted me 2 books books to look into on the HRM teachings, I began to feel like I was having a faith crisis. So confused but wanting to please the Lord whatever is true. So as I go through this process in my faith (being 4 years a Christian convert from witchcraft and new-age religion) this has been of such help for me to understand both views better. Thank you so much, professor, your "work in the Lord is not in vain", but "is bearing fruit, in you and all around the world."

Blood lineage is a dead argument people keep trying to rearrange into something that makes sense. It doesn't and cannot . Those who are in Christ are grafted in by faith alone . No descendance can earn you a place into God's kingdom . Romans 9:6 [...] They are not all Israel which are of Israel
      Romans 11:1 blood descendance
Romans 11:26 all Israel will be saved
Will the carnal posterity of Abraham make it into God's kingdom I'd they deny the Christ ? Because of their bloodline ? Surely not . Therefore why would Paul say "all Israel will be saved " if it is false ? Only a matter of interpretation. The only way to harmonize scriptures is to understand that we are grafted in by faith WHOEVER you were, Jew or gentile
      Romans 3:28-29
Keeping the law is not a matter of salvation, it is a proof that your heart has been renewed according to Ezekiel 36:26 , Jeremiah 31:33

@@blindvision4703 Hello! To say that keeping the law of Moses is required for salvation qualifies as heresy, in my opinion. But not all "Torah-observant" Christians believe that. Many say that keeping the law is an obligation of obedience, not salvation. So I don't like to use the term "heresy."
Whether someone has a Jewish ancestry or not, I believe the New Testament teaches that keeping the Mosaic traditions is permitted but not required (1 Cor. 9:19-23). Many Jews who were raised in a Jewish family and have come to faith in Jesus prefer to continue keeping those traditions as voluntary expressions of their Jewish identity, which is lovely. But they do not add a thing to our righteousness and are not a requirement of obedience.

but the thing is according to paul gentiles are grafted into israel as it is written in romans 11: 16-18
For if the firstfruit be holy the lump is also holy and if the root be holy so are the branches.
And if some of the branches be broken off and you being a wild olive tree were grafted in among them and with them partake of the root and fatness of the olive tree
Boast not against the branches. But if you boast you bear not the root but the root you.
and in the same manner Yeshua states
    in john 15:5-10
I am the vine you are the branches ( refering to both jews and gentiles because believers are under the same vine because we are all one in Christ see galatians 3:28) He that abides in me and I in him the same brings forth much fruit for without me ye can do nothing.
If a man abide not in me he is CAST FORTH AS A BRANCH and is withered and men gather them and cast them into the fire and they are burned.
If you abide in me and my words abide in you, you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done to you.
Herein is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit so shall you be my disciples.
As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
IF YOU KEEP MY COMMANDMNETS YOU SHALL ABIDE IN MY LOVE (what happens when they don't according to verse six they are cast out and burned and what did the messiah command to keep all the commandments see Matthew 5:17-19) even as I have kept my father's commandments and abide in his love. So please consider if we are grafted into Israel and we are told to be holy just like the root (which is the messiah in romans 11) and the root kept the commandment's and told others to do so why don't you?

And if you already believe that the distorted image is the true one, you reject the masterpiece that God painted. My experience is that I saw we are supposed to be Israel (not ethnicay) through the scriptures about half a year before I had ever heard of HRM, Jim Staley, 119 Ministries, or any other teachings on this. I have still never read a word of Batya Wooten, and have never attended a church that taught any of this. While watching people like Jim or 119 Ministries, I always listen objectively. I try to tear their teachings apart. In the end it usually strengthens my case that we are supposed to be Israel (not ethnically). Many people rely on other sources, but I disregard all but scripture. I don't put my faith in historians, commentators, or even studied seminary graduates. Show me what the Word says, and I will adjust if I am wrong. The problem is that many want to feed you only what makes their narrative seem correct. They read three verses, but cover the surrounding ones with their hands. They link verses together that have no commonality, and try to feed it to you as a complete statement. I love to make connections in the Word. The majority of things discussed in the NT were references or prophecies that were made in the OT. Nowhere in the OT does it prophecy of God's law being done away with or changed. There were times when God told people not to keep His laws, but that was because they were breaking them. This is where we are at today. Why bother keeping Sabbath if you are an unrepentant murderer? Why are you bothering to keep from murdering if you won't even keep Sabbath?
    James 2:8-13
[8]If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:
[9]But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.
[10]For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
[11]For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law.
[12]So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.
[13]For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.
God wants all or none. Get off the fence. Lukewarm is in bwtween. These are the ones that divide God's law into categories to throw away two thirds.
Someone commented that Jim was making it sound exclusive. It is. God has one people. Are we to believe that His people aren't called Israel? Whether spiritual or literal by adoption, would they not be classified as the Children of Israel? Who did God give all of His commands to through Moses? I understand that I can't convince anyone if the Word of God can't convince them.

Double thumbs up. If you listen to Jesus the Law stands with or without Temple & at the well with the Samaritan woman Yeshua intimated Jerusalem & the Jews who had the true (not fake) worship would be able to worship other places in Spirit using Truth. We are purified & grafted into that just as a Jew is sanitised from JUDAISM. This needs discerning for Gal 3 to not be mangled. My prayer is one day soon JUDAIZING will be correctly understood as Proselytism to JUDAISM which Yeshua clearly stated created hypocrites that were happy to make God's Law of non effect. Thanks, Barry. Almost 40% of the Law of Moses has to do with the priesthood and the temple services. So it is literally impossible to be Torah-observant without the temple (which Jesus predicted would be destroyed (Matt. 24:2; Mark 13:2; Luke 21:6). Much more than a jot or title of the law has passed.
"You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me, yet you refuse to come to me that you may have life...For if you believed Moses, you would believe me; for he wrote of me." (John 5:39-40, 46)

@@TheBiblicalRoots That's like saying it was impossible for Jesus to be perfect because he couldn't keep the laws for women. There is a difference between done away with, and not able to be done. You believe more than jots and tittles have passed from the law? Is that preterist doctrine? Heaven and earth has passed away? Someone tried to tell me recently that Jesus' death was the passing away of heaven and earth. It's kind of funny, because if we say He is the embodiment of the Torah (the Word, if you will), they will laugh at us even though John actually says He is the Word made flesh. But then they turn around and say Jesus was heaven and earth with absolutely no connections to any scriptures. They don't even realize that their belief makes Jesus out to be a created being and not eternal. In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

There is actually no clash at all except for dogma procluding the practice as an evil unnecessary addition as if it was forcing God to save us & also that the letter of the Law applies to those in the New Covenant instead of simply the fruit of Salvation & the works prepared beforehand for us to walk in by faith.
Paul's words can be reconciled in knowing JUDAISM of the day to comprehend what actual JUDAIZING is.
Paul doesn't have to go under the bus either.
The more recent comment above is succinct ...we can't do what we can't but what we can, remembering the Law is Spirit & Life to those who obey it by faith in Christ.
      Blessings to you as well.

@@HarryHafsak ceremonial/ritualistic aspects of the Torah are not required for Gentile believers. Obviously, Torah was never abolished in it's entirety. Paul continually reaffirms the "moral" aspects of the Law (sexual immorality, loving each other, giving generously, etc.) throughout his letters. The Torah reveals sin. But he, being versed in the Tenakh, knew that before Israel, there was Abraham, Noah, Enoch, Abel. All these men were righteous and did have the Law of Moses nor circumcision to be considered righteous. The Law was instated for a fleshly people and for a theocratic nation. Thanks to the sacrifice and mission of Jesus, who perfectly upheld the Law's requirements and denied the oral tradition, allows Gentiles to be grafted in. God is not just a God of the Jews, but of the Gentiles. The official nation of Israel did not exist until after Jacob's descendants were liberated from Egyptian captivity. When the Sinai Convenant was given, it build upon the last. If you read the Torah closely, circumcision is a sign of the covenant between God and Abraham and his descendants. The Law of Moses requires physical circumcision to partake in the promises of the covenant and to partake in Passover, which is the only feast named explicitly to be followed. We never once see Paul imploring his Gentile audience to get circumcised before they can be grafted in and share in the promises of God's Covenant with Israel. Saving faith in Jesus Christ is what brings us into the fold. It is a spiritual circumcision. The spiritual reality overtakes the physical shadow. If not one jot or tittle has passed from the law, then Paul is a liar.

The distinction between the Ten Commandments and the other laws of Moses lies in their origin, purpose, nature, inscription, significance in Christianilty, location in the sanctuary:
      1. Origin:
      - Ten Commandments: Also known as the Decalogue, these were given directly by God to Moses on Mount Sinai and were inscribed on two stone tablets (Exodus 20:1-17; Deuteronomy 5:4-21).
      - Other Laws of Moses: These include the ceremonial, civil, and moral laws that God gave to the Israelites through Moses, detailed primarily in the books of Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy.
      2. Purpose:
      - Ten Commandments: These are fundamental moral principles intended to guide the ethical and spiritual conduct of all people. They are seen as universal and timeless. (Matthew 5:17-48)
      - Other Laws of Moses: These laws include detailed regulations for worship (ceremonial laws), guidelines for social justice and community living (civil laws), and additional moral directives. They were specifically given to the nation of Israel to govern their religious, social, and political life.
      3. Nature:
      - Ten Commandments: These commandments are concise and comprehensive, addressing broad principles of morality and worship. (Exodus 20:1-17)
      - Other Laws of Moses: These laws are more detailed and specific, covering a wide range of topics from dietary restrictions to procedures for sacrifices and festivals.
      4. Inscription:
      - Ten Commandments: Written by the finger of God on stone tablets, symbolizing their universality, permanence and divine authority (Exodus 31:18; Deuteronomy 9:10).
      - Other Laws of Moses: Written by Moses in a book (the Torah), indicating their role in guiding the daily life and worship of the Israelites (Deuteronomy 31:9).
      5. Significance in Christianity:
      - Ten Commandments: Still relevant and applicable, forming a basis for Christian ethics. Written in the heart and mind in the new Covenant. (Matthew 5:17-48, James 2:8-10, Hebrews 8:10)
      - Other Laws of Moses: The ceremonial and civil laws were fulfilled by Jesus Christ and are no longer binding on Christians (Colossians 2:14-17; Hebrews 10:1-10).
      6. Location in the sanctuary:
-Ten Commandments: Placed inside the Ark of the Covenant (Deuteronomy10:2,5)
-Other Laws of Moses: Placed by the side of the Ark of the Covenant (Deuteronomy 31:24-26)
This distinction highlights the unique role of the Ten Commandments as a perpetual foundational moral code, while the other laws of Moses served to govern the specific covenant relationship between God and the nation of Israel.

There was an outer court for the strangers who believed in YHWH, but they weren't allowed to be in the inner court with the Hebrews because of Ceremonial Laws. But, now in Christ, we both dwell together in One Spirit and in One Faith. Amen

Interesting topic! To know who Salvation applies as the Biological Israel vs the Gentiles, and who are the graffed in, based on Romans 11, we have to define those identities. Deuteronomy ch 15 onward is very clear who the descendants of Israel are in this day. Also, Revelation 2:9 & 3:9 is clear on who is not the biological descendants of Israel and have pending accountability. Good topic.

    Hi Rob
A couple of things that stood out as I watched.
Regarding the word Jew, I’m not too sure you could say the New Testament ever ment the whole kingdom of Isreal as you suggest.
My reasoning is the new testament is written at a time where the Pharisees and Sadducee’s would never of included the northern kingdom as part of their tribe. The Northern kingdom more likely referred to as dogs or in a second class way. So tho we might refer nowadays as Jew meaning the whole kingdom, at the time of writing I can’t see this being the case.
Also when you said Paul interchanges between Israelite and Jew as you say in Philippians, he is using each in a different sentence highlighting a different context.
Citizen of Isreal, pointing back to heritage when all were one. I note he does not include ‘house’ in this sentence = Israelites
Tribe of Benjamin, being house of Judah = Jew
So in summery as much as you see some faults, I think you commentary can also mislead in the same way too by making errors where there are not.
A open discussion type format between you two would be a good watch.
It would be good for you to put your concerns to one another on your viewpoints and let the other answer.
And also to see where you both agree, and where you both disagree. That way maybe we can all grow and learn from one another.
Rebuttals videos I’m afraid do more to divide the kingdom than edify and bring together. After all one only rebuts from one’s own belief and interpretations.
On a side note, how about a few less adverts on the next one. Every 5 minutes seems a bit extreme and you don’t seem like your that hard up for cash😉
    Shalom

Also, Jesus may have taken the curse from Deuteronomy 28 for the 12 tribes of Israel, but in general, I thought he had taken the curse of sin off of us, not just specific curses from Deuteronomy. Grace and peace.

  • @donbarber5632
    @donbarber5632 Год назад

Rob, as for your "Jesus broke the curse" section...
    The curse of The Law
    * The curse in question is what we see in Genesis 12:3 and Exodus 15:26.
    * The curse was pronounced following the rejection of the terms and conditions of The Covenant of Promise (which is to hear and obey the voice of Yah) AND the sin of the golden calf.
    * The curse is given in Exodus 32:31-35.
    * Detailed terms and conditions of the curse are found in Deuteronomy, and in 29:14-15, we see the curse and terms extended to all.
The covenant from Moab, as found in Deuteronomy, is the "book" ("writings" of the law) used on the day of judgement... for all who continue to "miss the mark" failing to "choose Life" - that is, those still under its jurisdiction (still under the curse).
** The rejection of the terms and conditions of The Covenant of Promise is found in Exodus 20:18-21. This where the children of Israel FAIL their test. You see, they entered the Covenant of Promise in Exodus 19:5-8 (the "First Love"), but as we see in Exodus 20:18-21... they asked for the terms to be changed (to hear and obey the voice of Yah vs. to hear and obey the voice of Moses). Rob, the failure to obey the command to ascend The Mountain at the appointed time (equating to building your house upon The Rock) ...is what the phrase "The Stone that the builders rejected" is speaking of. This portion of scripture is most overlooked... and has everything to do with "Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness" (John 3:14) and dis-ownership (Deuteronomy 32:1-6). The result? The children were "born of Hagar" (Exodus 24:4-8), the "old covenant" from Horeb. This "old covenant" is the SECOND LOVE that the HR/TO folks are thinking is the FIRST. Anyway, Exodus 24:4-8 is The Father giving the children of Israel the desire of their "stiff necked" heart, to hear and obey the voice of Moses. Here's something to consider. The "old covenant" from Horeb is a blood covenant, which is a "till death do you part" covenant. So in order to be released of this covenant, one would have to die, then be "born again" (likened unto being born of Sarah). This is where baptism comes in, as we see in Colossians 2:11-23... this is what Nicodemus didn't understand.
Rob, there is a lot more to share about the sin of the third day at Sinai, especially Genesis 3:15... I'd love to talk shop with you sometime.
** One more thing. On the third day at Sinai the children of Israel broke the Covenant of Promise. Think about this... according to Genesis 15:17, what would have to happen?
Get this right, and you'll begin to connect the dots on the symbolic meaning of why The Son took the bread and broke it... creating TWO pieces. Hint: One piece has "oil", the other doesn't (Romans 8:2).
Thank you for all you do Rob... good stuff!!
    Blessings,
    Don

All you hear from the seat of Moses do and observe !!
Mat 5:17 “Do not think that I came to abolish the Torah or the Prophets! I did not come to abolish, but to fulfill.
Mat 5:18 Amen, I tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or serif shall ever pass away from the Torah until all things come to pass.

It makes Christianity seem exclusive that only a select few may approach, rather than Christ wanting ALL to be saved. By his teachings/definitions; my actual pagan friends that I’ve been patiently and passionately praying for their salvation … wouldn’t even be allowed to approach, or as if God wouldn’t be interested in saving them. When ppl find out that I don't do easter or christmas, they ask me if I am Jewish. I say no. I say I'm like Abram/Abraham. I'm a Hebrew. I've crossed over as Abraham did. He was not a Jew nor an Israelite. He was a man who heard the call of our Father telling him to turn his back on man's ways and walk in His Word. To obey His Word by following His Instructions, which by the way are NOT Laws (mans mistranslation). Man's doctrines are laws. Not the Father's. I haven't watched this whole video yet, but my heart dropped when I saw the title and read some of the comments. Ppl have been so conditioned by man. Mislead by man made doctrines and traditions. I know. I was once there. Since 2013, layers of religious doctrine have been peeling away and I have been released from false teachings. What most ppl don't realize is that all 41,000+ religions were cultivated by the teachings and traditions of our Father and what Yeshua exampled. But they were changed into something more "manageable" to allow control over people and to also put a veil up between them and Truth, His Word. Which by the way has NEVER changed! But man changed it. This false teacher and those that believe the words that are spoken in this video...I believe that not all is lost. This man and all those still shackled to man's theology will one day have eyes that SEE and ears that HEAR. I just hope it is before his return.

And, with all due respect-and I say this out of love in the hope that you can see it-you have not been shedding "man-made doctrines." You've merely switched from one set of "man-made doctrines" to another. I say this because the new view you've come to embrace was taught to you by a man. (Based on the language in your post, my guess would be Jim Staley.) I would really encourage you to spend a few hours working your way through the Gospels all by yourself, focusing on the words of Jesus. Because in them, you will find life.

Thank you for your zeal for the word and your teachings professor. I wonder what your thoughts are on this subject.
Jesus’ lineage is through His mother Mary who descended from King David. If I’m not mistaken, the Israelites carried their lineage from father to father by tradition and therefore fathers named their sons according to the tribe from which they belonged? I’m not sure if this is correct but it’s something I’m picking up.
Take for instance John the Baptist. His father wanted to name him in accordance to this tradition naming him after himself and his descendants. But God wanted him to be named John. The two facts of Jesus’ lineage and John’s name tells me that tradition was being broken. If such traditions existed.
I’m a simple follower of Christ so I don’t know.
    The other point I hope to have answered is the following;
Judas who betrayed Jesus to the Pharisee’s was from the tribe of Judah. I believe he was chosen as a disciple because of God’s promise to the Jewish nation when God created the new covenant and to demonstrate His grace and love.
This brings me to ask whether the 12 disciples came from the 12 tribes of Israel although two of them were brothers. But perhaps the lineage of the brothers comes from 2 tribes from the mother’s and father’s side of it if it were to form the house of Israel with Jesus as the cornerstone.
If this is so, through Jesus we as gentiles are grafted into the olive tree. I suspect that the tribes of Israel and their lineage records were kept in the the temple that was destroyed. Jews today don’t know from which tribe they belonged to unless it was carried down from father to father and the oral tradition kept.
However the nation was scattered and I wonder if God did this so that the notion of one in Christ there is no longer Jew or gentile, slave or free. Identity is grafted in Jesus and this is what makes a person a child of God.
Many Jews that were scattered especially in European countries changed their surname that was both Jewish and European or American etc. Intermarriage and the power of the Catholic Church then, further created a loss of historical tradition of carrying down names.
I’m only speculating and wonder if you could shed some light?
    Thank you.
    Blessings

If you keep misinterpreting Gods Word you may find yourself way way out there in the weeds you are in now.
Here is what God teaches us in context.
We are all broken sinners-those who say they are without sin deceive themselves and the truth is not in them.
When the doorposts were covered with Blood-what did that signify?
Was it that they had to be sinless first AND apply the Blood?
      Psalm 103:12
“As far as the east is from the west So far has HE (sorry not you pal-HE) removed our transgressions from us!”
How can you miss such basic understanding? Please come to The Living God and see your heart is wicked.
You have NOTHING good in yourself apart from Him neither do I or anyone else.
Genesis 3:15-Who will put enmity between the seeds?!
Like Adam and Even in Genesis 3:7 you attempt to reconcile YOURSELF!!! Notice in Verse 21 what had to Be Done.
Cmon back you are waaaaay off out there cmon Home.

Great video! I’m a former Seventh Day Adventist. They preach a similar false, works based unbiblical gospel. Sad. This guy is leading people to hell. Galatians 1:8-12, accursed!

Paul is using the metaphor of Christ being the bridegroom to show how husbands and wives are to be relationally. The Bible however is clear that the bride of Christ is Israel and the church is the body of Christ

I can't figure out if Solberg is a Hebrew Roots Movement proponent, or if he's arguing against it. I first saw him on a different video where it seemed like he was the advocate for HRM, but he didn't seem to actually do that, and all the other videos I've seen him in he appears to argue against HRM.
I just wish he'd state his position clearly. 🙏✝️👑🙏

Also, the ones in the modern state of Israel claim to be the tribes of Judah and Benjamin. Which is the two, plus levi, that make up judah. We don't define words by how we use them today. We define them by how they were first used in scripture. We redefined jew to mean all of Israel. Most Christians do not understand the difference.
Israel was called the assembly. The church is called the assembly when you look at the Greek. There is no new group called the church. The thing is, while they will be regathered it doesn't matter anymore. We are all grafted in.

Don’t be easily moved by this man’s false teachings. This man doesn’t even believe in the 4th commandment. What did Jesus say . John 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
Beware of false teachers . Shalom!
      Deuteronomy 4:2
2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.
Christianity ignores the 4th commandment. God bless

I think the late Sheldon Emery was part of this British Israelism false teaching that I was exposed to many decades ago. Essentially, this teaching says we are saved by race and not by grace which contradicts Ephesians 2:8

I knew Sheldon Emery personally… He did not teach British isrealism… And he did not teach that race saves anybody. His message was that the Israel of God were The CHRISTIAN REMNANT of the Anglo Saxon, Scandinavian, Germanic, Celtic, and kindred peoples of the earth. They are the covenant people.
