Appreciated your sharing the how to🙏👍👍
Great Video! Would add this running boards soon. Thanks!👍🏼
Appreciate the video!
Is it essential to use Loctite? How long did the whole install take? And is it doable without jacking up the vehicle?
It's recommended to use loctite so they screws don't fall out, it's only a few bucks, good peace of mind. You can probably do it in 1 hr and lifting the car is optional, but makes it a lot easier to put in the screws.
Thanks for these DIY steps, appreciate it - quick question, at 4:05, is the car tilted to one side to give you more room on that side? How was this tilt (???) done?
Not tilted, but i slightly lifted the whole rear to give me more working space. See 1:16.
Thanks for the great video, I'm considering to install the running board. However, I wonder how it affects jack stand location. In 00:34 the Jack Block Spacer comes with the running board? I'm not sure if this is related with jack stand. If I spray Fluid Film for example, I need to use 4 jack stands so...
@@alanlee7919 yes the jack block spacer comes with the running boards. The jack stand location (the reinforced wedge under the frame) is still available, but you may need a piece of wood or two to give a non-oem jack more clearance or else the lifting arm will likely hit the running board. I lift my car using the front or rear center jack points now to avoid potential damaging the running boards if the block of wood fails.
Same item as grand highlander?
@@ianboi7 same.
Really appreciate the time and effort that you put into this video. Just have a question related with the thread locker: the bolts looks like have already that. Do I need to add more of that liquid into the bolts? Please advise
Mine didn’t have any thread locker so i added blue. They were bare bolts.
Thanks
Hi ! do you have to remove the old plastic cover before install new running board,Thanks
@@raymonddao5332 if you mean the black plastic caps covering the screw holes, yes.
1:22 what is that thing that arrow is pointing to in between the jack and the frame?
@@vinhb6525 rear center jack point
Great cideo👍🏻I am wondering that am I still able to use the front and rear side jack points with the floor jack? or the running board will obstruct the side jack points?
Yes, both jack points are still fully available, but you may need some jack pads since they are about 2-3” recessed due to the running boards. It may be to just jack using the center front or rear jack points and stick the stands on the side jack points.

Great! Thanks for your information🙂I am going to add this OEM running board to my new TX 350😁 Once again, your video is awsome👍🏻👍🏻
I see that this running board is available in Florida _ Lexus of Wesley Chapel for local pick-up only. I live in Texas. Is there any other website thru which I can order this exact part?. Thanks
Ask your local lexus or toyota dealer if they can price match so you save on shipping. Same part # in both toyota and lexus dealers, no difference at all.
