In this video I've shown step by step process How to Configure Cisco AIRONET 3602i Autonomous/Standalone Access Point using CLI with WPAv2 Authentication Key. I've divided the whole process into three steps which are given below:
===== For 2.4 GHz Radio Interface ====
Step 1: Access Cisco AP|Reset AP| Assign static IP for BVI1 Interface |Default-gateway IP
enable
Password: Cisco [Cisco AP default Password]
Reset the Access Point with pressing and holding mode button ##
ap#configure terminal
ap(config)#interface bvI 1
ap(config-if)#ip address 192.168.2.4 255.255.255.0 [According to my network setup]
ap(config-if)#exit
ap(config)#ip default-gateway 192.168.2.1 [According to my network setup]
Step 2: Creating SSID | Authentication | Applying WPAv2 Authentication
ap(config)#dot11 ssid Cisco_WLAN
ap(config-ssid)#guest-mode
ap(config-ssid)#authentication open
ap(config-ssid)#authentication key-management wpa version 2
ap(config-ssid)#wpa-psk ascii Cisco123
ap(config-ssid)#exit
Step 3: Enable Encryption to 4.2GHz Radio interface | Apply SSID to interface| Enable Radio Interface
ap(config)#interface dot11Radio 0
ap(config-if)#encryption mode ciphers aes-ccm
ap(config-if)#ssid Cisco_WLAN
ap(config-if)#channel least-congested
ap(config-if)#no shutdown
ap(config-if)#exit
ap(config)#exit

Would it be possible to use an AIR-CAP2702I-B-K9 as an access point/extension to my current ASUS home router, ideally I would NOT have to make it have its own SSID, I would like to keep the current SSID and have the CAP2702I just extend the range of wifi. Thank you

I am using C9105AXW AP. I think I pressed the Mode Button more than 30 second therefore FIPS mode flag is cleared. It doesn't go on configuration terminal. Have you got idea how to fix the problem.

there where some weirdness on step 3 third command. when i typed ssid taobao(my ssid name) it went on to configuring the ssid. not like what happned in the video where the settings were applied to the ssid. does anyone know why that happends?

Configuration Question
I was curious if you could post the config so we could practice cutting and pasting it? This is an excellent video and is much better than taking a class from Cisco. :) Also, if you have a video that shows how to use a guest vlan in addition to the the one from main users this would also be most helpful. but for me I get a stack, Am using cisco aironet 3700 series 802 called AIR-CAP3702I-H-K9 in configuration of IP address it goes well but after I can't configure ssid because it says dot11 is invalid and where I try to show ip int brief only get BVI1 and gigabitEthernet0, no Dot11Radio0 and Dot11Radio1 visible as it shown in your video. please may support us on this issue ? #IT_Support_People

Console can be connected via serial so initially no IP is needed. Just select the correct comm port.

Thanks for watching .... No you don't need power cable only you need a poe injector and an Ethernet cable to power up the AP.
