    Excellent!! Well done Richard! Great track to cover. Shows what a genius he was and the harmonic creativity. That tone is very close. Chris often played a jazz so....

    Good performance and a nice inversion playing the Fender instead of the Rick, and fingers instead of a pick.

    • @RichardIresonMusician
      @RichardIresonMusician  3 года назад

      Thank you dude!🙂. Yeah, I'm afraid I sold my Rick literally decades ago. My Jazz was never going to get to a true Rick sound but it's as close as I could get. I tried with a pick but just couldn't get the speed so it had to be fingers!🤔😂

    Huge YES fan here. Mr. Squire is likely underappreciated. Watching this certainly drew my focus to the creativity and excellence therein. Thank you. PS: Right hand work is SPOT ON!

    HA! Another fantastic entry! I wonder, exactly how long did it take you to commit this to memory!??! That's my biggest problem with any of the more challenging prog-rock and fusion-funk tunes I've done in the past. Once again, incredible playing, sir!

      @@Bassistdan1 absolutely. I'm working on one at the moment, an absolute classic bass line but almost none of it repeats, it's taken me effing ages and it's still no where near!🤔😂

    There are quite a few of these instrument covers around now, and though they're often nicely done and accurately display the player's prowess, I really don't see there's much point in them.
