I don't know why people have to compare. The girl made a tribute to one of rock and roll greatest bands and song. And did it in a wonderful way. I guess is much more interesting to see the way she mixes her own stuff with some very cool covers and crawls her way into the spotlight. Bareiles really sings and deserves a shining path ahead!
I would never say anything is better than the original because it's one of the greatest songs of all time by one of the greatest bands of all time, but this version is pretty good :)
@gwoodard8100 U2's version never really did anything to me emotionally although I'm sure Bono felt it 100%. When Sara sings it I like it a lot more. Either you feel something or you don't. Just because a song is considered a classic doesn't mean everybody gets the same thing from it.
This is horrible.... Its like a f*cking country adventure song. Idk,just my opinion.. Listen to LIGHTS do it, that is amazing. No country music in background, its just her and a guitar
She could do a whole album of covers and it would be totally awesome. Everybody would buy it, how could you not?
