Well other then the mistakes i already pointed out... WELL DONE! This is definitely the most accurate list i've seen on RUclips so far. Oh and by the way, Gatineau has a population of about 400 thousands and it includes Gatineau itself, Hull and another city that i forgot the name. I think its called l'ange guardien but im not sure. As for Ottawa its a city that include Ottawa, Vanier, Kanata, Gloucester, Cumberland, Rockcliff and Beachwood. The problem with the internet is the city center and whole city bare the same name and out of confusion, most people mistakes the city centy for the whole city. Also when look from satelite view, Kanata, Orléans and Cumberland appear to be individual cities because of the farmland seperating them from the rest of Ottawa.

@@abalister6661 Well thats no surprise as the Canadian govt doesn't even count the number of people in each cities. The only things it counts are the births in hospitals, the immigrants, the deaths and the people that leaves Canada. You'll see a city do an aproximate count and that number will stay unchanged for 20 years even if it double in size or becomes a ghost town. And so i believe if i dont point out those mistakes, no one will correct them.

Brampton, On has around 600,000 people, and Mississauga, On has around 850,000 people. I think they got included in the GTA, and that’s why they’re not listed, but both these cities are independent cities in their own right, and often get omitted from these kinds of lists. Also, Toronto has 6.5 to 7 million, Montreal is over 4 million, (Laval not on list either), and Van has nearly 3 million. A bunch of “905” cities could be on the list as well. Etc. But, good list anyway, and nice graphics!

Gatineau is not part of Ottawa because it's in Québec accross a wide river... Tho i agree it should be and population would go up to 1.5 million if it was part of Ottawa.

Kanata is not a city, it is part of Ottawa.

You should a top 100 cities by land area, you'd be shocked how different the list would be. For example, the city of Clarence-Rockland directly East of Ottawa is bigger then Ottawa by land area and consists of the city of Rockland, the village of Clarence, but also the villages of Clarence-Point, Hamon and Bourget. Also includes a ton of farmland and a fairly large forest. But population is only about 40k total, so its not even on the list of most populated cities. I think it would rank 101 at best and 110 at worst population wise. Tho all online population are always outdated so i think you'd find Clarence-Rockland with 20000 population. That was the population back when Clarence and Rockland merged. Rockland merged to get more lond to build more houses on and nor Rockland has more then doubled in population since. If the real population was available online, Rockland would be on the list. Oh i mean Clarence-Rockland.

weres Mississagua the 7th bigest city in Canada and my home city

Good Question. The data from Statistics Canada didn't have it listed. It think it was included in Toronto's population. I went to research that and found data that had only municipalities....so I will remake this video to have only municipalities listed. Mississagua would be included in addition to several others that's not listed. Population for Mississagua was listed at 717,961 in 2021. A small decline since the last census was conducted.
