    I love those old Ford trucks! I can’t believe how expensive they are now. It’s nice that you’re able to get parts for them so easily now.

      I don't think there was ever a final video on either of those. I don't remember a final video on Rusty, the VW van, either. There is not much closure on this channel. The Swamp Dragon never got finished either, at least not on the channel.

      @@CTmoog I saw that. But, you don't have any closure on your projects. Do a video of you selling a done project. Or do a video showing you taking a done vehicle to a car show or something. I remember wanting to see you and Rusty at a car show. All we got was a video of you test driving Rusty. Then poof. Gone.

      He already had the swamp dragon ford pickup he never finished. If he does happen to finish either of these two trucks he’ll probably mix the parts up. Dude never finishes anything just tear it apart and go to the next vehicle. He would be great working as a junkyard parts puller

    Just saving old metal is how I look at it no matter what it is. I think I told you I'm in the middle of restoring a 1965 1200 40hp VW engine I got for 50 bucks. Had a blown piston but everything else looks like an old lady drove it. All the measurements look good still and the case has no corrosion or cracks. It's like Forest Gump "It's like a box of Chocolate, you never know what you'll get." The frame on your truck looks really good. Nice to have a good base to work up from.

      I think on frames its worth it, cuz its gonna be a nasty, messy job regardless, and you're pressure washing it anyways. Until those laser rust removers get more affordable, all options are kind of a messy pain.

    "She" looks salvageable to me, certainly more so than some of the other projects you have taken on. I don't see how you manage to juggle all of them. There must be at least 3 other ones in work process. But it is fun. Thanks, John

    • @CTmoog
      @CTmoog  4 месяца назад +1

      Yes, it's not too bad. The idea with this one was to get it back on the road as soon as possible...but it needs everything...the engine is seized, the transmission is bad, the brakes and suspension, etc.....I have 3 projects in the works at the moment. 914, Ghia & this red truck. The Swamp Dragon is a pipe dream at this point but it could be brought back in the future. I sold Rusty and the Beetle is basically done. Just needs some glass and a few other items. Going forward my goal is to focus on one build at a time. It is a bit overwhelming to keep up with everything.

    If you completely disassemble the F250, then remove the rust from the frame, complete the cab and the loading area. Repaint the frame and the entire structure. Patina or not, if that's it then that's it. After the downtime and the effort you have already made, it deserves to be rebuilt. The advantage would be that you no longer have to be there to set it up.
