Awesome! I’m glad you found my video. I know for me sometimes the first one isn’t perfect and needs tweaking a little. By showing my oops I hope others try again when they have an oops. Thanks for stopping by! I have lots of fun quick projects for gift giving. Here is one of my playlists m.ruclips.net/p/PLKGSJJEEjRBVxvjSJRqhl11AeCfBbIU3z
Robin - I love your tutorials because you provide useful little tidbits as you go along. This is so much easier to follow and fun to listen to you, too. Thanks!!!
love these Robin!! They look pretty easy to do, I think I'll give them a whirl.. Thanks for the great video, as always.. EDIT....Well I gave these a go and I must say it wasn't hard at all, fun in fact... with having said that, I need to practice a bit more before I hand these out as gifts.. like you said Robin, " Keep them for yourself/family" ..
Robin, the hole in the middle is for the stem of the wine glass! Tuck the bottom of the wine glass into the coaster. If you make them in different colors or patterns it is a great way to have a built in coaster, and a way to differentiate people’s glasses during a get together. Great tutorial. It’s been a while since I saw these.
Love doing the blue one maybe i do some of those next heavens knows i have enough scraps and squares lol my kind of fun turning inside out back from the hospital wasn’t too bad. Just had a hard time getting on the bed and getting off the bed that hurt my hip little tear came down lol i know felt silly. There you go no zippers no excuse for not making them lol
Nice fabrics. When I made mine I ended up sewing a line of stitching around the outer edge, which hid the raw seams inside - I always end up sewing more than I need to haha but I like my things to last. I made lots for gifts last xmas :)
I received a few of those and I used for my wine glasses. Neatly tuck in the openings with the wine glass. This is good so you can identify which glass is yours. I will give this a try.
I thought the same thing. I like the look without the top stitching but then the top stitching would hold the pieces in place and encase those raw seams. Which is probably why I’ll try top stitching the next one I make. 🤷♀️

Making potholders/trivets for Christmas gifts, and was happy to find your tutorial for added tips! My first one also had the gap in the center…

Clear and concise with out a lot of needless chatter.
Thank you 🦩

Thank you. They are super easy and they make great gifts.
Hi Robin! Great project! Make several, tie a ribbon around a set, cute gift! Make a a few larger sizes, potholders!
Excellent ideas
I see lots of gifts with these. Thanks.
I love this idea! I could see this in all sizes. For a square placemat. A table center piece. Hot pads. Thanks for another fun idea!
That would be fun!
Very cute
I always made the squares... Why didn't I think of the triangles. I love the little flower fabric. Thanks Robin!!
The triangles are a bit harder for me to line up but I love the look.

Thanks Becky! I knew about the round versions for a wine glass but didn’t realize that these would work too.
My mother in law has a few that are octagon or hexagon shaped that we also use as pot holders. They have many great uses.
Hexagon is next on my to try list. They would be fun potholders.
Great idea for gifts.
What a charming idea excuse the pun duh ! I have scraps and now they are useful scraps. THANKS.
If you made some for yourself and then for those on your gift list you’d use up a bunch of scraps.
Nicely presented with clear explanations. Love your color choices.
Thanks Joanne.
I'm adding these coasters to my crafty "to do" list. Love the blue fabrics.
Good day to you i made the square on i am the potholder of the other one waiting for my ride to go for a x ray watch you when i come back

yes i got to make some of these loved the video you always sew good thing
Thank you so much 💜
Do you top stitch?
I don’t but you can if you’d like.
Could you topstitch your project after you're finished?? I think it would be cute...
I thought the same thing. I like the look without the top stitching but then the top stitching would hold the pieces in place and encase those raw seams. Which is probably why I’ll try top stitching the next one I make. 🤷♀️
@@rsislandcrafts I'll try it out too, and somehow show you my project...how would I show you??

@@rsislandcrafts I'll do email, lol. I'm not real big on social media...I only have snapchat and Facebook....
I also have a facebook business page that you can send pictures to. I check them all so whatever works for you.
I top stitch around and it lays really flat.
Thanks Cheryl. I’ll try that next.
