People who say that are blinded by nostalgia I'd rather watch the newer episodes like Big Rigs, Berenstein Bears, Polybius and Mega Man rather than watch Mario Bros 3's lazy humor about the game being possessed. And the effects are much better. The only old episodes that match with the quality of the newer ones are Dick Tracy (Because of that meltdown at the end), both Bugs Bunny episodes, Top Gun, NES accessories, Nintendo Power and both revisited episodes (Back to the Future & Jeckyll and Mr. Hyde). The others are either incoherent rants, constant scatological humor or unfunny skits. And if you like that sort of thing, go ahead, but you can't objectively say that they're better than Big Rigs or Resident Evil Survivor.

My only real problem with the other guys becoming more prominent is that you can really tell when someone else wrote the episode after all these years of watching. I don't remember which one off the top of my head but a recent one was clearly written by Justin and that's not to say I didn't like it but I'll be honest James sucks at delivery. I like to think that Board James isn't an alternate reality version of him. But rather, he has multiple personality disorder and hallucinations caused by psychosis. The psychosis is caused from playing video games constantly and isolation. James Rolfe doesn't just make things without thinking about it. He is famous for, I guess you could call it, "over-thinking" (not in a bad way) story lines. He loves connecting videos in an open ended and extensive nerd universe or "nerd-verse". Because of that, it seems like, he wouldnt just say something without a reason and therefore most of his dialogue has a purpose and a specific place in his videos. He also likes to leave things very open ended so people can fit their own theories in and make their own backstories. He has said this during multiple interviews. It makes it so, since there's no concrete storyline, if you don't like one theory you can just find another one or make your own. This is a quality that many great directors and story tellers have. James Rolfe is known for being a MASSIVE movie lover. But he doesn't just love movies, he also loves the art of making movies and how different producers and directors go about framing stories. He's known for researching and understanding the qualities of different artists and being able to use them in his own creations. That's what makes James Rolfe an amazing artist and why he has more loyal fans than almost any other RUclipsr.
I'm just gonna come out and say it, AVGN's Nitendo Gear / Super Form is one of the most badass things I've ever seen in my life. This isn't a joke, or a meme. I love how all the pieces perfectly fits together. Like they were hand-crafted for this one specific purpose.

Considering this is an iceberg I'd like to bring up a song I have been trying to look for since it was deleted off RUclips. It was a fan song of AVGN sung by these kids with the genre being punk. Even after all these years I still remember some lyrics and the general chorus of the song, here's my recollection of it for anyone interested. I remember Opie & Anthony (a show very similar to Howard Stern's, with the two hosts being big Howard Stern fans) talking about the Nerd around the same time that Stern did, but they were pretty positive, I think they even interviewed James? I also remember James saying somewhere (in James & Mike?) that he practiced funny faces a lot in school to imitate cartoon characters, which is where he gets those unique "Nerd faces."
The happy video game nerd definitely deserved more credit, it was one of the best avgn clones, they put an actual unique twist on the character and provided some good content for talking about video game gems.

AVGN's Nitendo Gear / Super Form is one of the most badass things I've ever seen in my life.

People thought james was sexist for not reviewing the newer ghostbusters?? when it was clearly just a cash-in with no heart like ALOT of reboots, looking at your turner and hooch lol. I waited till it was on TV for free, Kristen Wigg was ok in the movie, with some well written scripts I think she would have fit into her role perfectly, but the other 3 I genuinely couldn't have given a flying fuck about, some of them are fine in other movies, but their roles in this where utterly forgettable as was the plot and don't even get me started on the cameos, what an absolute joke, hudsons being a throwaway moment made me genuinely sad.

Considering this is an iceberg I'd like to bring up a song I have been trying to look for since it was deleted off RUclips. It was a fan song of AVGN sung by these kids with the genre being punk. This is a bit disorganized but I'm going off memory, I used to remember more of the song but sadly over time I have forgotten most of it. Maybe it's in the dark recesses of my brain but I can't remember at this moment. James used to have a playlist of fansongs back when RUclips let you customize your channel page a lot more circa 2010's. I think he favorited it too, I actually have a few downloads of some other fansongs if they aren't still on RUclips.

I remember Opie & Anthony (a show very similar to Howard Stern's, with the two hosts being big Howard Stern fans) talking about the Nerd around the same time that Stern did, but they were pretty positive, I think they even interviewed James? I also remember James saying somewhere (in James & Mike?) that he practiced funny faces a lot in school to imitate cartoon characters, which is where he gets those unique "Nerd faces."
Opie and anthony did interview the nerd. James was an o and a fan. You can see their WOW sticker on his TV in the early videos
The happy video game nerd definitely deserved more credit, it was one of the best avgn clones, they put an actual unique twist on the character and provided some good content for talking about video game gems.
The idea that the AVGN is able to cheat death through his anger being to powerful reminds me how Freedon Nadd became a Sith force spirit simply because he was too angry to accept death
