Hugely helpful - thank you. With the prompter not shipping til March I was looking for TeamViewer style software that could mirror flip. No luck. This approach as an extended monitor is WAY better. 🎉
Update: gave my Samsung S7 (12.4 inches) a go and that worked great. I do wonder if there's a cheaper tablet of similar size that'd also work. Anyone find a larger Android tablet that works with this method? Works fine with my Samsung S21 Ultra, but did not work with Samsung A8 tablet (many reports of this online) and did not work with the Lenovo P11 Tablet. I'll update this comment if I find something, just looking for a 10 to 12 inch (sorry metric system!) display to take advantage of a larger teleprompter. For now, will keep buying and returning tablets until they ban me for life.
Me again, watched this and was very impressed, ah what it is to be young! I like it though and I like you have loads of tech lying around and cables all in separate bags, a lot! In the hundreds! If you need any old tech or camera associated gear! ⚙️
I like your other videos, heck I even like this one (and thumbs up'd it) but dude, you just said step one to DIYing yourself a teleprompter is to go online and buy a teleprompter (well, the tricky part of one, anyways). XD

This was very helpful. Did you install anything on your pc?
Nope nothing needed on the PC side
Excellent idea! Quick question: can you charge the phone at the same time? Without disconnecting the hdmi cable
I think it'd be possible with some kind of USB splitter or hub but I haven't tried it myself
Genuis definitely try this good work.

I have a Sony Zv-e10 camera with a Sigma 16mm lens. Wil it fit with this prompter?
Love the vids. Is there any new solution to hook my mirorless camera to a 4k mobile stream.
Not that I've come across, but I'll look into it!
Any recommends for a voice tracking teleprompter app?
