The curly haired "tervuren" is not a Tervuren, it's a Laekeonis. It's also only in America that the variations in the Belgian Shepherd is considered different breeds. In Belgium and most other European countries the Belgian Shepherd is one breed and Malinois, Tervuren, Laekeonis and Groenendael is the different coat types and colors.
In conclusion, the maker of this video doesn't have enough knowledge about the Belgian shepherd and the Tervuren, so if you are looking to buy one and learn more you should search other sources of information.

You forget to mention that the back of the Tervueren is straight horizontal instead of the slope back of the German.

I have a friend who has a Tervuren (and a Malinois) and another friend has a German shepherd. Both dogs look like twins. I honestly don't see any diffence besides their attitude, the Tervuren is a real cuddle bear and loves kids and the German is very playfull and doesn't like kids that much, he avoids them. I even think that they both have the same hight. the Malinois is surely the biggest mischief, you can't play enough with him

Thanks for sharing this! 😊Malinois and GSDs breed line histories are very similar, coming from regions not too far apart in Europe. That's also not surprising to hear that the German Shepherd is 'aloof' around the kids!

@@AnythingGermanShepherd The Belgian/Dutch and German shepherds can be seen as cousins. They are all neighbor countries and the part of Belgium where the Malinois, Tervuren and Groenendael comes from used to be part of the Netherlands and is indeed very close to Germany too, but Belgium is just a tiny country. The people from those places are also very simular, German sounds a lot like Dutch and Belgian Dutch. But my experience is that the Malinois is a complete different dog, they are only happy if they can work and learn, while the Tervuren and German can be perfectly lazy too and be left alone for some hours. The Malinois can't.
