I had a RAV4 Hybrid on order in January 2022 and finally received a 2023 RAV4 Hybrid LIMITED (Top of the Line) the 2nd week of December 2023. I LOVE this car and am getting 37 to 40 mpg in mixed driving. One thing you did not point out, I believe in the STATES the CRV does NOT come with a space saver spare tire but instead you get a can of FIX A FLAT and a compressor. I have been in plenty of situations where a tire is damaged so bad that you cannot use FIX A FLAT to fix it. The RAV4 comes with a space saver spare.

Both the Toyota Rav 4 and the Honda CRV are great cars. I always have a hard time choosing one over the other. It depends on what works best for you. If I was looking for a roomy car with a comfortable ride, I would choose the Honda. But, if I wanted a little more horsepower and better fuel economy, then the Toyota would be my choice. The only thing about the Toyota is that the price seems to be more than an equally equipped Honda. On the other hand, the hybrid CRV does not include a spare tire.

I own a RAV4 hybrid XLE and upgrading to the limited. I ordered it in November and should be delivered in March. I wanted JBL audio and panoramic sunroof but had a changed options it would have been faster. When I test drive the CRV in 2021 it did not feel as solid as the Toyota. More road noise and felt cheaper quality. That may have changed but I don’t think I’ll ever switch.

Thank you, Shari, for the great content and unbiased insights.
I have tested driven both RAV4 Hybrid and CRV Hybrid. Both are amazing vehicles with great reliability and aggressive look.
CRV definitely has an edge in the areas of control, smooth drive, and build quality, but the pricing because of being offered only in Touring trim for 2023 and Touring/EXL for 2024 models makes it too expensive. With a few thousands added, one can either get a 7 seater Toyota Highlander Hybrid or a Lexus (a luxury brand).
I personally opted for RAV4 XLE with Premium Package, which, in my opinion, is the best value for the price; even though there is some long wait time.

Great video! I like the interior of the Toyota so much more! I owned a 2017 CRV and achieved 32mpg over the 130K miles I owned it. Neither of these companies are producing the reliability they used to, and we are used to. My pick would be the CRV. Honda is not as big, so they can correct faster. However, that being said, I own a couple of Toyota's and a couple of Honda's. Both make a great product! Toyota is all about reliability, Honda is all about engine technology. It is a toss up.

My pick is a used Mazda CX-5 for a lower price and very good steering feel, good speakers and independent rear suspension. Very reliable, maybe eventually the intake valves need cleaning with walnut shell blasting. Some reviews pick the Kia Sportage hybrid, but it is more of a reliability gamble compared to the Toyota and Honda. The Kia Niro costs less, with less room, but is a lot cheaper used for the previous model.

The fact that Toyota RAV4 is cheaper is because Toyota sells more than the CR-V.

Like many die-hard Honda fans...I grind my teeth in disappointment @ the Hybrid pricing and less features.
Maybe the well-to-do Gen X'ers and Baby Boomers who have owned multi-generations of Hondas don't care.

Neither, you should buy a reliable used car with cash or get a very low payment cause buying a new car is a bad financial decision.

Differs from market. In some market like Middle East, Australia, due to low supply of semi conductor chips, used vehicles which are 3-4 years old are almost same price as new ones.
So don’t just go on what people keep saying on RUclips.

Used cars under 15k are still overpriced

    • @Noxlion28
      @Noxlion28 Год назад

@@NikhLogic it’s still like that outside the U.S.? Used prices are starting to come down here.
Also, there are plenty of 6-7 and even 8-10 year old cars out there that are in good condition or require minor repairs and they’ll go for another 100k miles or so. I bought a 2013 Camry for $10k USD with 128k miles. All it needs is the transmission sensor replaced which is like a $160 fix.
But I am from the U.S. so I cannot speak for other countries. Even still, if someone needs a car due to lack of public transportation in their area, and they don’t make a lot of money (like myself), they should consider looking into something older instead of 3-4 years old.

I’d say right now buying new is a steal… I traded in n a 5-year old SUV, got $10K more for it than I expected it got the top trim on a new one for pretty cheap. Only waited 5 months.
Buying anything electric can be a long wait time though
