  • Usually on the Monday following my construction updates, I release the results of the poll conducted at the end of each update regarding which area of the layout my viewers would like to see me focus my efforts on next.
For this past weekend's poll, the viewers determined by majority vote that they would like to see more work done on the Royal Gorge Route! I will primarily continue work on the rockface carving and painting. I may dabble again with some scenery details as well or some track weathering, but I really want to get that rock face finished to the same degree as the tunnel portal area so I can begin work on the foreground in front of the tracks.
Thank you all for your participation, I'll see you in two weeks with the results of my efforts!

Just a suggestion for the rock around the culvert get a small bag of natural aquarium grave. This does come in different sizes and colors.

I'm seeing great progress -- good job! I appreciate you working on what the survey shows but, and most respectfully, maybe every 3rd or 4th survey cycle, choose what you want to do. After all, the layout is there, first and foremost, for you!

@@kevinbohnenblust5844 This past I weekend I started doing just that. During each poll weekend I'm working on projects that I want to do while everyone is voting for what they would like to see. It all has to get done at some point and with most all the track laid, the order makes no difference to me.

Boy, I have traveled the West a lot and have never seen the colors of rock that you seem to have on your rocks. They look like they have been left out in the rain without any sun for several years. Why the bad color of greens...

@@davidcurtis5398 The streaks of green in the water seepage area are meant to be moss, but it was an experiment and I'm not sure I like it either.
