Nagas were there before Adi Shankaracharya. He merely reorganized them. Earlier some Naga sadhus were followers of Lord Dattatreya whose centre is Girnar Parvat in Gujarat.
Nagas are organized into 10 Akharas (Dasnama ). Further divided into Giri, Puri, Bharati and Saraswati.

The food diet depends on Ayurved. Satvik, Rajsik, Tamasik. Ppl who are into only using brain or indulged in mental jobs and not physical work are always advised to have Satvik. Let protien and more brain and memory enhancing food. It also helps the body to digest food with ease.
While Soldiers and people who indulged in rigorous physical work was advised to consume meat or fish coz body needs more protein.
And if people talk abt canine teeth. Monkey has canine teeth. Gorillas have canine teeth. We need canine teeth to tear into sugarcane or carrot or apple or guava etc. there are many hard food that needs canine teeth.
Humans have always been omnivorous. Even before humans learnt abt agriculture, as hunter and gatherer they ate wild fruits.

Aghori naga sadhu was not clan made by Adi Guru Shankaracharya they Were There from beginning of this world clan of Sada Shiva himself.

Sir Naga sadhu is martial the clan that was established by Adi guru shankaracharya ,aghoris are the people that are from the time when shiv shambhu taught aghor sadhna.
There is difference between Naga and Agoris . Nagas are pure vegetarians and not like agoris. Aghor sect was not started by Adi Shankara.. it stated 200-300 hundred yrs after shankara

There are many text about different shaiv sadhnas like kapalikas aghoris etc in ancient thousands of year old pashupati siddhantas and many more .
Like maa kali's different and maa tara's different poojas started very fast in Bengal in thousand year but it does not mean it was not their in Bengal or other part of Bharat or world . In time things have to be guided by divine gurus that's it but it's does not mean that practice started from their . These things are from starting of human civilization on earth .

Akshat Gupta's view of Hinduism very balanced and universal. The way he explained Shaktism and devi upasana is probably the simplest and most concise, I've ever heard. And yes, we Shakti uapasaks don't discriminate between Kali and Mahakal.
On the other hand he host represents most hindus of today- possessing a very narrow view of hinduism.
