Hi! I'm the one who made the arrangement. I'm equal parts happy and sorry that this arrangement hit you like this! It was a combination of "Sending a Dream into the Universe" and "Cid's Theme", which work really well when put together.
@@samermassaad7561 This comment is really bothering me now. I don't want you to think that your arrangement was bad or anything like that. I loved the arrangement, particularly the more triumphant part of Cid's Theme. It's just such an awesome piece of emotional music, Cid's theme always makes me cry a little. That's a good and proud thing :-).
@@RS250Squid Hey, don’t worry. I understood fully that you meant that it was a good arrangement and that you liked it. I just felt it was prudent to apologize for your tears. No misunderstanding anywhere. 🙂 Have a good day!
Le thème de Cid ... Y'a pas de doute dessus, il fait vraiment parti des thèmes que je pourrais écouter sans m'en lasser. Et cette version est d'autant plus sublime qu'elle rend hommage à ce formidable personnage.
How could anyone dislike this? The trumpets were perfect! I'll have to throw on my headphones to see if I can hear the strings better. Edit: After listening with a high end headphones, I'd say fire the man on the mixer ASAP! Those strings are CRUCIAL and you can't even hear them toward the end. I always feel terrible for musicians that pour their heart into their performances and then you can't even hear them.
So… a bit late reply, perhaps. But the performance was acoustic apart from a mic on the harp. So the man at the mixer should carry no blame for this. ;)
Hi! Principal bassoonist of the orchestra here. Our orchestra is based in Sweden - Gothenburg to be precise - and as such our concerts are held there. Where do you live? You'd be more than welcome to our next concert!
@@samermassaad7561 Thank you Sir, I am from the US, but I’ll keep that in mind if I ever make the opportunity to travel to Sweden! I would absolutely cry if I got to hear a selection of Uematsu’s greatest pieces!
Hi! I'm the one who made the arrangement, and that was indeed what I was going for! One or the other alone felt too short for a concert program without a bunch of repeats, but put them together and it works!
Years too late, but thank you for your kind comments! You should thank our principal bassoonist who suggested the piece and made the arrangement! Without him, it would never have happened!
They slowed it down for the performance. Nothing wrong with that! Does Moonlight Sonata suck when it's slowed down? Pretty common for orchestra concerts. You could also play at 1.25 speed.
Were you ever a drum major? Not putting you down, but that was the orchestration. Watch the orchestrator during the performance... That's simply what was written for the orchestration. The only thing that was off a bit was the timbre with the trumpets & horns and he wanted them louder. They were being too conservative when he wanted them to stand out. My issue was with whoever was on sound and the mixer. They need fired! Haha

Cid's story tells you dreams have no deadlines. One of the best written characters in the game.
Very nicely put! We trust that you enjoyed our rendition of Cid Highwind?

TEARS! I have listened to the game version for HOURS but this is the first OST of just this song. Beautiful!
0:31 That introduction sounds very Cosmo Canyon-ish.
I used this song in a Pearl Harbor powerpoint presentation, high school back in 1998. My teacher freaking loved it.
NOBUO UEMATSU IS A FUCKING GENIUS
a shiver went up my back when the trumpets started at about 2:30
Sameeee!!!!! I hear that trumpet right now and I feel

Right in the liver xDDD

Incredible how nobuo gave you the feeling of the engines turning on and lift off occuring and the delight of the breeze
No, no don't start all that Cid's theme business, I'll start crying again >_
Sit down, shut up, and drink your goddamn tea!!!
With the little radio sounds in the background.
Underrated track FF7 just has the best soundtrack ever made

Sounds like a blend of Sending a Dream into the Universe and Cid's theme

Amazing
Thank you so much! It was a treat for us to put together as well!
This isn’t CIDS’s theme this is “sending a dream into space” which sounds similar to CIDS’s theme but still two different songs!
Can everybody please play this at my funeral?
😍😍😍
You have to play this back at 1.25 speed for it to match the tempo of the original. Otherwise its too slow.
beautiful! :">
Its touch my soul like i would go on an big adventure and never finish it! Luv you final fantasy!

Ouais, le thème de Cid est déjà putain de magnifique de base
Needs more low bas cello
Ugh, winds alway play their parts too soft, upsetting the balance of the song. Aside from that, good listen.
That snare is distracting and off tempo

Alex Smith The drum being off has nothing to do with the choice of tempo
