Instead of fitting more tubes on the chassis this video, I begin to install the new lower control arm chassis side brackets. This is a pretty critical installation because if they are not installed perfectly square into the chassis, binding can be introduced into the rear suspension movements and we DO NOT want that!!

Ok hear me out. “Building a car” doesn’t have to be just “building a car”. I’m a big man with limited mobility who tires quick. I started modding Powerwheels for the neice and nephew. Gave um custom paint jobs, modded the wheels and powertrain. Added speakers, underglow and a usb… did it cheap, when I was younger I raced dirt oval RC cars, and built plastic car models. Not nearly as cool as building your own drag car but it’s still neat and fun. During lockdown I took up carving wooden spoons, just sat in a chair with RUclips on and a cheap knife carving my spoons. Plenty of creative things you can do with a wrecked back and no money.

Great job Kevin! I look forward to Cutlass Day every week. Definitely appreciate the return of the soundtrack which is a bit weird because my main music tastes are much heavier. I agree with you in the matter of our children's education, as I find it mostly useless to say the least. It seems like you have the delicate balancing act of Dad life and business owner life worked out. Well done sir!

Kevin, Just in case you didn’t know it, the biggest draw to the KSR RUclips channel is you and your very articulate way of explaining things. Especially when you couple it with that look that you give at around 3:12 in the above video. I want to support you and your channel because you know what you’re talking about and I think you should prosper like a rock star. That look you have when you keep your head facing forward and you peer out of the right side of your face. That look should be trademarked with a t-shirt. I would definitely wear one.

Good job on the frame chopping! Son, that was a cut- job and a 1/2! Yea, I’d box it just for the giggles. Yes, summers are shorter, thanx for the music! I think the term you might’ve been searching for is “frame flex”. Any motion resulting in your original car frame moving could bend and toss you out of square.

I'll admit, I bought a pair of RAYCON earbuds to replace my Samsung Buds (which died due to excessive moisture, may they rest in peace.) based upon your and Cleetus's recommendations. First set of cushioned ear buds I've had that stayed where I put them (mostly, I have to adjust them once in a while when I get real hot and sweaty). I had some Beats ear buds, but they'd fall out every minute or two (good sound, too heavy to stay in ear).
Love the Cutlass, can't wait to see it done!

maibe make a temporary frame from either roundbar or rebar and some sheetmetal between the two lower barmounts to get them spaced the exact distance apart and exactly in line with eachother , center and square the whole thing in the frame , (maibe build the temporary frame using the holes in the top mounts to place them as those need to work together ) then trace and cut the car frame around the shape of the plates you need to weld to them to the frame so the lumps and bumps of said frame dont matter , you can work the edges toward eachother while welding them in heating the frame with the tig torch and hammer or pull on it before welding another inch , then ad the bars toward the cage so that any forces left in those plates you welded to wat was left of the car cassis dont cause the mounts to (twang) move and THEN cut / take away the temporary frame between the the parts even if the car frame is crooked the mounts willl be fixated in the place they need to be for the car to drive straight

Seemed to make the whole lift arm repositioning harder than it needed to be. A pole jack would have held the car fine for the minute or 3 it would have taken to move the lift arm forward 4 inches and in to that cage intersection just in front of it. Move that and get to work. Problem solved without having to drop it to the floor use a floor jack, blah blah blah..

    • @KSRPerformanceFabrication

I agree, but I wanted to double check that the weight was still balanced and it was not going to tip backwards and try to slide off of the lift.
