@@HandsTouch WOW What a great recipe They look absolutely delicious!! Thank you for sharing your recipe !! I have a quick question , for Vegan can the Gelatin be substituted with Agar Agar ? If so would you be able to sub the Agar Agar with same amount as Gelatin that you used , Or would the recipe have to be adjusted for the Agar Agar ? I would really like to make this with your lovely recipe using a substitute for the Gelatin if it is possible! Thank you so much for sharing this , Have a Merry Christmas & happy holidays 😊
I’ve made homemade marshmallows a lot of times, but instead of using vanilla, I’ve used, root beer, chocolate, cotton candy, cherry, and a few other flavours. So simple, and so delicious
@@royrequireswifi488 try the pop before you buy the extract to make marshmallows. Just in case you end up not liking it. Some think it’s medicine tasting.
Wow! Never knew one could make marshmallows at home. In this part of the world, we don't get marshmallows easily. One has to wait for months to get some very expensive ones to come to the market. Thank you, thank you, thank you for this wonderful recipe 👍💕💞
thank goodness for internet. there are lots of marshmallows here but i don't like to eat them because it says lots of ingredients that sounds scary. this one in the video is better.
The first two steps with the blended sugar and cornstarch are "just" making powdered sugar from scratch, so you could skip that and just use store-bought powdered sugar instead. Just a tip for everyone who doesn't own a blender 😊
WOW thank you. That means I should be able to take sugar and cornstarch to make powdered sugar when i am out. Very good to know and I will look up a recipe.
Wellllll… powdered sugar doesn’t use that much cornstarch. We add a little cornstarch to powdered sugar to keep it fresher, but not if we use the powdered sugar right away.
@@susansmith5205 That's good to know! The recipe I found was about 50/50 I think, or maybe like 60/40, but I'm not really sure at the moment. But either way it was quite a bit. But it sounds like you've got experience with this, and I don't, so I thank you for the info!
Brilliant recipe! I used almond essence and sprinkled flaked almonds on top and gave them as a really gorgeous gift to my family, what a hit!!! Thanks for sharing ❤
Here, I wrote it out for ya''ll, lol homemade marshmallows without corn syrup: 3 tb sugar blend til smooth powder 3 tb cornstarch mix sieve brush oil on bottom of square glass pan cover inner bowl with powder mixture-using sieve/strainer (you’re dusting the pan with the sugar/pow mix) 2 tb gelatin 1/3 c water mix and set aside to soak to small pan: 1/3 c water 1 c sugar 1/2 t lemon juice cook medium heat to soft ball stage (check with cold water-put a little syrup in water-not water in syrup, lol) reduce heat to low add soaked gelatin cook until thread consistency about 2 mins transfer to a bowl beat on high after a few mins, you’ll see a white foam like meringue add 1 t vanilla and food coloring if desired you’ll get almost nougat consistency transfer to square glass bowl refrigerate 5 hours or overnight sugar and cornflour mix on cutting board also use this to top what’s in the square pan when you remove it from fridge is this turkish delight? lol pat it in the top work it into the corners to remove it put on cutting board put mix on knife to easily cut pat mix into the squares to make them not stick
Thank you so much for making this video. I have a ton of food allergies and need to make everything at home. This is the only recipe that I have found that doesn’t use corn syrup or honey or other allergens in the recipe.
They look like they taste way better than any manufactured marshmallows. All kinds of interesting flavors they could be. This recipe seems easy and the videos of examples of what it looks like in various stages so that you know to go to the next step were very educating. Thanks!
As a child I once ate peppermint balls that were marshmallowish on theinside with a slightly hardened outside. I never found them again. They were delicious.
WOW it's so temptingly delicious looking and yielding and spongy and soft and still remaining intact without cracking or breaking! It's absolutely worth the effort, thanks for sharing!
Very nice recipe! I made two changes -used half sugar, half honey and skipped the lemon juice, and didn't use corn starch - and it came out great. One change I'd recommend is to use parchment paper to line the setting tray as the oil+powdered sugar didn't stop it from sticking
Actually it's not hard at all & it takes no time, all you had to do is follow the steps, i totally recommend it!! so much better than the store bought one 😍

cover inner bowl with powder mixture-using sieve/strainer
(you’re dusting the pan with the sugar/pow mix)
2 tb gelatin
1/3 c water
mix and set aside to soak
to small pan:
1/3 c water
1 c sugar
1/2 t lemon juice
cook medium heat
to soft ball stage (check with cold water-put a little syrup in water-not water in syrup, lol)
reduce heat to low
add soaked gelatin

about 2 mins
transfer to a bowl
beat on high
after a few mins, you’ll see a white foam like meringue
add 1 t vanilla and food coloring if desired
you’ll get almost nougat consistency
transfer to square glass bowl
refrigerate 5 hours or overnight
sugar and cornflour mix on cutting board
also use this to top what’s in the square pan
when you remove it from fridge

work it into the corners to remove it
put on cutting board
put mix on knife to easily cut
pat mix into the squares to make them not stick
