- DRAW! Brett Bean breaks down the art of drawing. A complete drawing book from 3DTotal Publishing, this book has information on everything you need to get started drawing, including human anatomy / features, lighting and shading, colour theory, perspective, tools & equipment, shapes, negative space and much more! - definitely packed with information. I would describe Brett's style as exagerated and cartoony, but he still shows a great understanding in teaching art fundamentals.
Whilst I think any level of artist can pick up plenty of tips, and be inspired by this book, I think it will be especially useful if you are a beginner when it comes to drawing, this book teaches you everything you need to know to get started, and makes it a lot more interesting and fun then a lot of other art books. To me what stands out in this book is Bretts emphasis on being creative and having fun whilst you learn how to draw. What do you guys think to this one?

Thanks for sharing! I have just ordered the book, I'm not usually big on cartoony stuff but the art fundamentals look good, as well as quite 'fun' as you mentioned in the video. I will have to check out some more of Brett Beans art and sketchbooks. Keep the book flick throughs coming.

I may order this book, I've been trying to get back into art after block ruined it for me, it's been 10 years and Brett's style, along with others, in the artbooks for Crash and Spyro have helped a lot to slowly get back into it. Had to subscribe and look forward to your future stuff!
Hey thanks for watching & commenting! I love the Spyro art book / dragons designs and use of colour within those. I am a fan of Crash Bandicoot but I don't have the book yet, is it as good as the Spyro one though? I'm not quite as big on the environmental designs which usually feature pretty heavily in the books from what I can tell. The book for Crash is just as good, I uploaded a flip through preview a few weeks back, so you can check it out, it has environment art like the Sypro book, but it also mixes in character and enemy art with it as it's done level by level. Thanks, I'm taking my time, but hoping it sticks, trying to keep it fun!

That drawing tutorial book looks brilliant 😹🤘!
This is, why I even draw my own art works with the traditional felt pens and colour them with the traditional twin markers and wooden pens 🖋️🖊️✏️🖍️.
Also, i use the original regular papers 😺👍.
And to be honest, for me, it is easier 😺👍 than using the computers and/or apps 😹.
Yeah it's a great book! You're right traditional definitely has a great feel to it. I like the idea of markers but when I use them I find them frustrating haha. Have you purchased any new art books recently?
