    I have a 2004 Bravada with a little over 98,000 miles on it, when I bought it 4 years ago it had 88,000 miles even on it. I’m trying to baby it as a “collectors” ride, since Olds went away after 2004 and they’re one of my favorite car brands - really, the brand that got me interested in cars in the first place! It’s actually amazing how many of these Trailblazers, Envoys, etc. you still see running around over 20 years later! It’s not uncommon to see them with 250,000+ miles on them, too! That I6 in them is a beast! Still enjoy driving mine the most out of all of my cars to this day. 👍🏾❤️

      @ATRichard
      I had an 09 TB with 387k on it when I was t-boned and the truck was totaled.
      I pulled a 5x8 enclosed job trailer around the country for work over the last 13 years.
      It had 72k when I bought it. I was the longest running & amount of time i've ever owned a vehicle.
      I just bought a 06 TB LTZ (loaded) about a year ago.
      I am so familiar with that platform that I often help people troubleshooting on a couple of forums, and I have no reason to distrust the vehicle as it has not once let me down.
      If anyone travels across states every 2 weeks for their jobs, they will understand what a statement that is that I just made.
      A brand new vehicle could have a silly little thing covered by warranties, but still leave you stranded between here and there. 13 years and NOT ONCE. It's a great motor, and I drug that trailer for probably 9 of those years, and have had zero transmission issues. Including I-70 through Colorado @ 70mph & @ 15% grades at times.
      Hold on to that cool version of the platform. @ 15% grades at times.
      And if you have any weird issues, hit me up, it almost always the same few problems, just with different symptoms sometimes. Fan clutch, water pump, wheel bearings are the 3 that everyone will have to replace at some time.
      All cheap and can be done by yourself.

    The best-looking truck on GM's midsize platform is, in my opinion, the Saab 9-7. It may have been sacrilege in the minds of Saab fans, but it seemed like a capable car. Too bad it came out in 2006 because I know it would've done better in 2002 - the year its companions first came out.

    • @nwezetx1
      @nwezetx1 6 месяцев назад

      *Came out in 2005, not 2006. New models debut the year before their labeling.
      The "companions" you're even talking about, came out in late 2000 for JDM and USA in early 2001. Your info is wrong

      You still do see these pretty frequently! They’re very durable, that I6 is a beast. Not uncommon to see these with 250k+ miles on them! The interiors were cheap, but I really love this early-2000s era of GM’s SUVs.

    Absolutely GMC Envoy! my 02' SLT XL has nearly 300,000 & still running strong! Need suspension work but it is all original everything plus oil gasket seal & major tune-up & she's back in shape! I actually have two Envoys a 05' Denali XLT v8 i picked up for $500 with perfect body & interior plus my 02' ! Wish gm would bring it back! But not like they did the Blazer 👎

      The quality of the GMT360's was pretty good overall. The window fire thing was a real issue though. The Saab 9-7x had beautiful interior fit and finish. The rest of the lineup? Adequate. I always like the Envoy Denali's interior.

    Well I do remember this gen TrailBlazer. Cool looking but junk overall - cheap interior, noisy and thirsty engine. The car has also been way too expensive for our market during that era. Don't know why GM couldn't bring Saturn compact car instead.

      If the oil wasn't changed regularly it might lead to a VVT Solenoid malfunction. The solenoid that operates the VVT utilizes the engine oil. After deferred maintenance and harsh driving, engine oil becomes contaminated, leading to VVT solenoid screen pore clogging and malfunction. A few more issues or GM Inline 6 weaknesses are posted by 1A Auto here on RUclips.

      @oliverrojas3185 The Atlas engine(s) were discontinued in 2012. The 2.8 was reworked into the Duramax diesel discontinued in 2022. The Atlas are known for vibration issues. Did they have power? Yes. But they weren't reliable or durable.
      I sold Chevrolet during the early 2000's when the Trailblazer was introduced, and the 4.2 litre 6 gave us headaches immediately.

    • @hakeemsd70m
      @hakeemsd70m 23 дня назад

      This Atlas 6 was one of GM's best 6 cylinder engines ever. Honestly, it's up there with the Blue Flame 6 and the 3800 V6.
