Thermostate Heater values Air ride system Water pump Cluster Spark plugs Coil packs Sunroof And more. You will have to replace these. I had an envoy and these are the major repairs.
I have a 2003 Envoy XL 4x4 with the 5.3 V8 and it has about 239,000 miles and it runs great. Still the same transmission, etc. I am having issues with the rear actuators for the Climate control at the moment. I spend about $500.00 Maybe on Maintenance a year. I will say it has been a great car and the A/C in the front and rear still work!!. I will say that the Miles per gallon are not good maybe 15 mpg city/20mpg Highway but it is a heavy SUV All in all I would definitely buy again
GMC Envoy fits in with the gmc Yukon and Chevy Tahoe I love my envoy they have been great trucks and if we go on a road trip we can lay the back seats down And make a bed
I have a 2004 Buick Rainier with 5.3 V8. Really solid built and run like a clock. I am concerned as you said it may take as much as 4 grand per year to maintain though. Currently it still run fine and smooth. The 4L60E seems to still work fine except when I make a floor throttle the 2>3>4 gear shift felt slipped. Now I have been avoiding drive aggressively but still felt concerned how much longer the tranny can last. When you rebuilt your tranny, what actually made you confirm it's dead and need a rebuild? What were the symptoms?
Yup, I’d say budjet up to 4k per year. You probably don’t have to spend that much per year, it’s just a rough estimate. Also I was 12 years old at that time so I wasn’t driving, but I do remember the transmission was rebuilt under warranty. Our 5.3 envoy does slip a bit from second to third when you floor it but it’s been doing okay. We took that thing to Ontario and back no issues. I’ve got quoted $3200 to rebuild that transmission which is not that bad
I love my 06 Envoy Denali with the 5.3 V8; however, it only gets 16 mpg and that's a downside, but it's like driving a sports car the way it handles!!!! 200 K on this one, but the car is very reliable - it has not always been so, so there's more maintenance than on my Chevy Suburban.
@@321verykind yeah 4k a year** but how so if oil, filters an new tires don't equal to that unless you're changing out a new alternator an water pump every year
@@SakuraKinomoto-rs2ue if you daily this and put over 50k km a year, ya your gonna spend over 4k in maintenance. This is an older car so your gonna have random things break on it, it’s just the way it is. So budjet out roughly 4k a year for maintenance if your driving a lot. I hope that’s clear:)
Hi I love my envoy, and I need another car, I found many yukon 2005 cars with the same price, I thiught yukon must be much better option than envoy, what do you think guys?
Thermostate
Heater values
Air ride system
Water pump
Cluster
Spark plugs
Coil packs
Sunroof
And more.
You will have to replace these. I had an envoy and these are the major repairs.
Thankyou

Wow, thats a lot of miles. The V8 is an amazing engine. Hope you can keep her running for as long as you can :)
Another side note 17inch tires are so much cheaper then 22 inch tires also

Glad you like your ride. And yes, it can be a little too much with the maintenance haha
I have two GMC envoy Dinali’s with the 5.3 and I wouldn’t get rid of them for the world.4k a yr is unrealistic. More like $1000 a year.
Fair 👍
“Just simple transportation without the bullshit” 🤣🤣🤣
Pretty much haha
How do you spend 4k a month on maintaince? Thats what these sell for.
