When the people that are supposed to fix your car destroy it and then don’t take any responsibility after it’s wrecked is a pretty shitty feeling. This is exactly the reason why some people lose their shit and end up in the news. This video brought back all those feelings. I’m shaking typing this.
Yes, I completely agree. It’s crazy how shady these shops can be when they literally make a living from “fixing” customer cars. In the next video I plan on saying their name people will stay as far away as possible. 🤦🏽♂️
I hate taking any of my vehicle's to any shop, especially if they want let me inspect the shop, because that could be the difference between us doing business, because if shop and the Technician look suspect, no way I'm leaving my source of transportation with them. I hope your video helps people. FYI was Service Manager for 3 different Auto Dealerships for 15 years customer service matters
If your car was sitting in the sun since January it makes sense for the headliner to fall. It was probably already a bit loose (common issue) so windows closed baking is not helpful. Also you should look at the old control module could’ve possibly got wet . The draining system has been guilty of letting in water, leaves, trash etc in that crevice by the firewall. Technically you can’t be guilty of something failing in another persons possession. If he told you they swapped the wires then that’s on him he openly admitted it . If he didn’t say that he wouldn’t be at fault though. Technically if he has not worked on the part that went bad “control module” or any other part that can cause it failure, they can’t be held responsible. That’s like your alternator going out just cuz it’s in the shop doesn’t mean they’re responsible to replace it. Just a heads up for future situations always double check everything before receiving the vehicle though because if you drive off right away without saying anything they can say you left with the car Ku could’ve been you ….
For sure! They swapped the control module at Audi so I can’t even look at it. They took down the headliner so they could remove the rear drivers window to paint it, and I don’t believe they ever put it back up. As far as everything else they ended up taking care of it which you should see in the next video! 🙏🏽
That’s wise, I do pretty much everything my self on the S5 as well. I just figured that for body work I’d take it in to “the professionals”, which was a mistake considering I went to tech for collision/ repair back in high school 🤦🏽♂️
Dayum Tariq sorry you had to go through all this considering how well you took (and take) care of your ride. Definitely hit up the BBB with a complaint and switch insurance companies if you can. Here hoping everything works out for you!
