You mentioned that it slows the 115 grain to subsonic speeds. Do you have a chart available listing the difference of velocity & db between 115, 124 & 147 grains with different length barrels?
Yes! Midway down this page you will see the comparison numbers: angstadtarms.com/vanquish/ Also, here is a sound comparison video: ruclips.net/video/hTNupAEBtzY/видео.html
1.What would happen if you slap a standard suppressor on the short barrel vanquish? Would it be ultra-supressed? 2. Would I be able to move the supressed barrel between different guns or would it be tied to one gun in the eyes of the unconstitutional ATF?
1. It's insanely quiet...we've done this 😆 2. Once you have your approved tax stamp you can use it on any lower receiver. The only caveat is if you have the 10.5" barrel it would need to go on a pistol lower or approved SBR lower. The 16" barrel can go on anything since it's a full size rifle
Cool, yes…useful🤔. Sure, will be quiet but slowing the bullet down is not the same as a traditional suppressor that traps/redirects gasses to lower the DB. I have never been compelled to use subsonic ammo in my AR9 as I train with 124 grain ammo and for defensive purpose would want that Bullet going at its normal velocity but toned down with a suppressor. I don’t see this as more than a cool toy at this point. I guess I would need to see the data on suppression in relation to velocity reduction and the cost of the product to make a better decision to buy/not buy. This honestly shouldn’t even be counted as a suppressor 😢. Is the 16” exactly 16” if you put a rod to the chamber?
dB and Velocity numbers can be found on this page (midway down): angstadtarms.com/vanquish/ The ports are adjustable so you can tune it to your specific ammo (how much velocity you want to drop). Regarding defensive use, the MP5 SD works similar to the Vanquish in that they both drop the velocity of standard ammunition to achieve a quieter shot. We agree...it would be great if suppressor ownership was easier! Exact length is 16.2"

This needs to be done on the MDP-9. I would love to see this on the Roller delayed. Make it happen.
I like the way you think
Solid informative video. Good description of how the barrel functions to bleed off gas into the buffer chamber to reduce the sound signature
Thanks!

Yes, scroll down this page (about midway) and you’ll see velocity numbers with all ports open: angstadtarms.com/vanquish/
buy a gun, wait a year to own it thanks to the one/two tax stamp issue. bummer.
Welcome to the world of NFA items 😭 although, when that tax stamp gets approved it's like Christmas! 😆
Do you guys roughly know the decibel difference between the 16" vs 10.5" barrels?

New twist to a VERY OLD concept. Intrigued! This has been done very poorly in the past (often homemade). This looks refined.
What about heat? How hot does the each the barrel, shroud and hand guard get?
Not bad at all during a normal range session. No need for gloves. We’ll post some full auto videos in the near future showing temperature readings

Any plans on doing these in 45acp????
Nothing definite but yes, a 45 Vanquish would be super quiet!

MDP-9SD When? 🤔
No timing yet, but yes this needs to happen 👊
Any db numbers for the two different barrel lengths?

Is the barrel compatible with the Sig MPX?
No, this is only compatible with straight blowback AR9’s
