He plays weak in his war for Greek town and his enemys happely believe it and get assassinated for it cause they underestimated him. *Nucky* later on underestimated *Torrio* believing him out of the game and retired altho *Torrio* distance himself from the failed assassination on *Nucky* while setting him up for the next one in the same breath meanwhile hes telling him to retire. *Morale of the story dont show urself, and use the power of people underestimating you.*

I never realized that the attempted assassination on Capone was Torrio, that's wild. I always thought it was just capone taking over, but Johnny moved first.

It was the northside gang in retaliation for Dean O Bannion getting whacked in his flower shop.Hymie Wiess went mad after the killing of his friend and witnesses statements from the time had him as one of the shooters. He had terminal cancer so he just didn't care and his mission in life was to kill Capone before the cancer got him. History also has the two who shot Torrio as Wiess and Bugs Moran from the northside gang and bug's gun run out of bullet as he put it to Johny's head then the driver honked the horn as people were coming. In this Torrio thinks Capone tried to kill him so he gave it all up to Al. He did do that but it wasn't actually Al who tried to kill him it was the Northside gang

i think the scene is shot in a way to show the division of classes during America's gilded age. The beginning shot shows people getting their shoes polished, then when joe colombo (i think that is his name) is talking to the hotel assistant he doesn't even look in his direction while the assistant is looking right at him. Simple yet conveys the message well, good directing.
I am an avid fan of his, he starred in a BBC series titled "Time" which also stars Sean Bean who he acts alongside. 3 Fantastic episodes for the 1st season and the 2nd changes location and characters with the same theme for 3 more fantastic episodes.
Gyp is next so far. Gyp is the hardest im doing because his voice, the algos kicking my butt, ill get it through though. i had to shave off 20 mins. but i have the best stuff in there atleast.
Love how Capone was the only one who actually went out of his way to always try to help Nucky once Jimmy was killed. Still not convinced if Capone sent the hit on Johnny in the show but Torrio was a slippery guy.

I've seen every episode at least 3x. Still, much like with The Sopranos, all it takes is a single short and before you know it, 2 hours have gone by. Next to only another HBO Original Series, The Leftovers, this is by far the most underrated and unappreciated series in the history of television....and it's not as if millions and millions of people aren't fans, or the show received unfavorable reviews by critics. Quite the opposite. It drew universal critical acclaim. Despite it all, it never got the love it truly deserved. An absolute masterpiece. This compilation was one of the best I've seen, and I really enjoy the way you format these videos, each being centered around a single character. So, yea. Appreciate the effort man. I know this takes a significant amount of time to create.
im working on Gyp and its the hardest one so far. 2 hours of screenplay turned into 47 mins. i got the best dialogue and scenes though. Certain music and visuals get blocked. I hope Capone isnt the same way. Gyp took 2 weeks lol
In the show they were ambiguous as to who had shot Torrio, the rival gang or perhaps Capone? Either way Torrio got the last laugh with a prosperous and quiet retirement while Capone had a much bumpier road
I think they made it ambiguous on purpose. It adds to the drama. But in reality it's pretty much accepted that it was Bugs Moran and Hymie Weiss, from Dean O'Banion's North Side gang, were behind the attempted hits on both Capone and Torrio.
I had to look the actors name up, which is surprising for such a great actor. Between Torrio and Butchy, Greg Antonacci goes down in mob acting history.

Do Al Capone next
im working on Gyp and its the hardest one so far. 2 hours of screenplay turned into 47 mins. i got the best dialogue and scenes though. Certain music and visuals get blocked. I hope Capone isnt the same way. Gyp took 2 weeks lol

In the show they were ambiguous as to who had shot Torrio, the rival gang or perhaps Capone? Either way Torrio got the last laugh with a prosperous and quiet retirement while Capone had a much bumpier road
I believe Torrio was right about O'Banion.
I think they made it ambiguous on purpose. It adds to the drama. But in reality it's pretty much accepted that it was Bugs Moran and Hymie Weiss, from Dean O'Banion's North Side gang, were behind the attempted hits on both Capone and Torrio.
